Happily racing along today, nothing special, couple of nearly wins, changed to the Lancer, which feels smoother by the way and comparable in lap time to the WRX for me, then the entry to DR A it is 😁 probably not for long, first race I quit out as those bully boys knock me around 😁

Would love to stay there however 🙏

Edit. Wasn’t to be to, grotty lot, 3 races and down to BB 🤷‍♂️

Congrats on reaching up to A though!!!!!

Was it super dirty or were you just getting pushed off lines?

Few more podiums in B and you’ll be straight back up there, this time to stay 💪

It’s a funny thing mate, I don’t feel I belong in A, although when I’m top B I can beat A drivers but when it’s all A drivers and I’m a B driver I feel slower, don’t know why 🤣

You aren’t slow mate, you just need to be consistently at that top b speed.

The racing takes care of itself but you have the pace but you just need to be consistently better at it and decision making that’s all it is. One tip is expectation is the route to disappointment, control is the way through.

RBR was never my strong point in gr3 so I’m actually pretty chuffed with how the week has gone.

I just need a track I’m super in tune with, like spa, to reach A and hopefully stay there,

It’s like I qualify all week, get the best time I can probably get and A rank says ‘that’s only good enough for last 5 starts’ 🥴

Soul destroying

Well after starting pole 4 times at BB and not bringing any of them home, it was nice to finally get a win, pole sitter started in a Vantage and got a pen first lap and managed to keep the field away from me and couldn’t really eat into the 1.5sec lead I had throughout, RBR not one of my greatest tracks, been tough getting out of BB due to the odd idiot doing idiot stuff but I’m at BA now and I’ll call it day once I’m at BS again,

Will get a few tomorrow AM once it switches, we leave at 1200 tomorrow so still some racing to be had

Some fantastic racing in C this week and I'm almost heartbroken (game wise) to see it go.
It has been some of the closest finishes I've had in this game, proper close racing all the way through - and it's fun to race against names that only come out for stuff like this.

Definitely some things that could be done better. Needs to be a B or an A for one thing, to get rid of that weird 15 minute wait between races.
Racing itself has been sublime, less than half a tenth in this finish (against Foosa!).

Criminal it has had the low playercount we've seen from it.

I agree with most of those points, the one thing I would say is that I experience those close finishes in the normal dailies so completely on board with how that feels when good races happen, my view point is just good racing is good racing the rules are the rules so do the best with what you have.

On the player count thing, I personally think it’s disappointing but not unexpected, gating a car, offering tunning but the reality is everyone does the same thing at the sharp end is a bit simplified.

Wrong race slot for it, and no DR really killed competitive desire for it.

Finally back home after another 3 week work trip. Started journey home on Friday afternoon and haven't slept since that morning but somehow still alive 😅

Did a few laps for B and C and seem fun but I'm barely able to keep focus as exhausted but cannot sleep. Hopefully will manage some sleep tonight and have a few game hours tomorrow 🤞

Didn’t quite manage to get back to BS yesterday, briefly got back to BA but straight back to BB after a race, the funny thing is, the racing was a little clumsy yesterday, nothing malicious or anger inducing just a little coming together once per race just stopping my SR from increasing, bit annoying, Sunday racing is usually pretty good.

Had to turn off though when I looked at my DR bar and it was almost empty? WTF lost me a whole bar? But looking at DG and the GT website this morning it looks still to be top of B so don’t know what that’s about.

Catch you at the weekend guys! Have a good week

Edit. ‘83 Golf GTI on race A!!!!!! Man I’m doing nothing but that when I get back Friday 😁

RBR seems to have really given the old SR a hammering for everyone this week mate - I'm still down at C and seems like the slightest touch and you're screwed, even if it's a dive bomb or push to pass.

Enjoy Center Parks with the family mate, will try and close the gap a little bit on our DR's this week!!:D

According to DG EDGE's stats, only 15k people set a qualifying time for Daily Race C last week. That's well, well below the standard numbers for C (generally 60k-65k for Gr.3, 40k-45k for other standard racing classes).

So, uh, I wouldn't expect more tuning races to be showing up any time soon, I guess.
Would be interesting if they did the exact same race in a few weeks, but with pre-tuned cars with a selection of liveries.

Nabbed myself a time in the top 100!!! There’s more time too once I can nail the downhill to the right section like @Metalgear9493 does 😁

Oioi!!! Great going that!!!!!! Did you get a race in as well? Back into A?????

What’s everyone’s thoughts this week on what races they’re going to jump into?

All 3 look fun but no way I will be able to learn 3 brand new tracks. Was thinking start in race B for a few evenings and then move to C back end of the week ready for the weekend as I do like the longer races more

Yep grabbed a win and not before this chap tried to put me in the wall and scarper off! But I hunted him down and he didn’t try anything further and I won by 5 secs, I do love a Tokyo street circuit and I had that very Golf GTI amongst others so that’s a fun race for me 😁 race dragon trail is always a fun race, whatever track or direction it’s solid. I wouldn’t do anything C but I’m sure the others will rave about that one

Gardens is probably better for racing but it can be a bit awkward at first with the kerbs and some odd corners. Laguna is much more straightforward to learn, but it is quite narrow so you need respectful opponents to have a good race (or just stick it on pole and run away from the pack).

So more strange goings on in my DR today, I mentioned earlier how I seem to have fallen to bottom of B yesterday, the game showed that but the website and DG didnt seem to concur.

I won a race at Tokyo and went from low BB to AA, really strange.

It’s a shame I’m away this week as I think I could cement my place in A with this combo

Anyways, I’m really going now, laters

IMO, all three banger of races. I can't recollect when was the last time all three daily races were exciting enough to keep playing!

Race A it would be better to set a good qualy lap because if You're in the mid of the grid or lower & if they're drivers ahead who're bumping/nudging each other, You'll be stuck behind. A very narrow track. When a few months back we had Tokyo in Race A, I noticed often the cars in the upper portion of the grid would keep drifting away whereas the rest of the grid would keep slowing each other down due to hits/bumps etc.

Race B is good but only 5 laps. Seaside has a better flow but Gardens is more challenging especially in S2. Nail that & it should make You competitive.

Race C is where the most fun is. Gr. 3 cars with Rm & a mandatory pit stop. The new Porsche seems the meta car there whereas the BRZ & Huracain seem anti meta. I'm enjoying in my favorite AMG '20 because the cambered corners of S2 & S3 make it so much fun to drive.

It's a known display bug when your DR is limited from advancing by your SR.

In essence, it shows your progress on the next DR rank (so almost nothing through A in your case), but because your DR rank can't rise due to your SR (SR B prevents DR from rising beyond B) it displays the lower rank (DR B). It thus looks like you're at the bottom of the lower rank.

I'm going to guess you had a DR reset recently, due to your SR falling a couple of ranks down. Increasing your SR back to the level of what should be your actual DR will automatically restore your DR to the right level (as you see from BB to AA) - whereas in GT Sport it actually reset your points and you had to work back up.

Thanks Famine, wasn’t me going mad then 😁

Don't race a lot these days. Took the old Aston Martin Gr.3 to Laguna Seca. 1:24:7 after some laps.

Changed to the new 911. 1:23:8 instantly (well, it took 3 laps). This one is so comfortable to drive. Especially on the breaks. Maybe I'll start being a meta/911 driver.

Did 2 Laguna Seca races from the back in mixed DR C / B lobbies. First race I had several spins but finished P8 because others were failing as well.

Second race from P15 I finished P6, despite getting absolutely brutally punted at the corkscrew, having such trouble getting out of the gravel that I almost got kicked out of the server for not playing / driving. So tl;dr: People are still getting to know the race is the summary 😅

The Aston's have completely awful low front downforce setups forced on them, pretty much the opposite to what you'd want at Laguna. Really tricky cars to get pace out of because of that.
