And even when it does, some nationalities cover a very broad spread of identities. Pretty famously the USA is 50 countries (plus DC and PR) in a single trenchcoat, and try suggesting to a Union Flag-wearing Scottish driver that they're just like their Union Flag-wearing English colleagues.

To say nothing of subdivisions beyond that. Wallonia and Flanders are both Belgian, Catalunya, Galicia, Andalusia, and (some) Basque are all Spanish (as is Canarias, for that matter) - and so on.

You're totally right. I live in one of the smallest country; Switzerland. We're ar 8 millions, ar 30% are immigrants (2.5 millions, me Italian from Sicily). In that 30% 190 differents nationalities are represented. Still we race in GT7 under one single flag.
