Does anybody have a secret sauce I'm missing to race B? I'm trying really hard and my quali is only a 1:35.5, trying to get into the 34s because it's all fun with the mid pack, but would rather be going upfront.
Have a watch of TyrannoCyrusRex anti-meta video, he recommends the WRX. Follow his guide I managed a 34.1 in it (previous best was 34.5 in the lancer), with optimum dipping well into the 33s. It’s very good in the race too. It’s good on the turn 2 kerb but only if you get right up on (almost beyond) it, halfway on and you’re toast, think the car grounds on the raised bit.

Have you beat my QT? Logged in around 6pm today and you hadn't yet. Did a few laps and knocked half a 10th off my best. I was 850th in the world and that half a tenth saved put me at around 380th. Crazy how close the QTs are in the top 1000 players. I think my best is currently a 1:46:320. Still much more theoretical time to be saved but it's tough. When watching the GOATs like Digit he can pull out a top 100 QT within a few laps of trying. Granted he has some of the best gear available but I think he could do the same with a T300 tbh. Players like that just have such a precise eye for when they can exit out of a corner at full throttle and they just know they'll make it without lifting off or running wide.
Yes mate, I’m at 1.45.965 with an optimum of 1.45.395 so would like and get a bit closer to that but hooking everything up is really tricky.

What I find so impressive with those guys is how relaxed and smooth they are when you see them on the stream, I’ve fighting with the car and pulling hard in the corners and then are barley moving anything but they’re hands.

I don’t think the gear makes much difference to these guys. Wind has a really cheap wheel, sits on the edge of his bed and his pedals are balanced on some books and move around and he hits the number 1 time when he drives, although he seems to have lost interest and isn’t driving much anymore

Hi, I watched Calster’s lap and then used his ghost. I’m driving the beetle with BB+5 & started with TC1 to get confident coming out of the tight turns. I’m now 34.7 with no TC and mid DR B SR S starting normally top 3.
Best of luck 🤞🤠

Finally managed to string a mistake free race together at Suzuka! Jeez this track takes it out of you!!! It’s hard work all the way round.

I’m starting to think that if you really want to be a good driver then race C is probably where you need to spend most of your time, firstly the aliens usually camp out there so it’s not competitive but also. Just having to staring together 20-25 mins of consistent, mistake free driving is so much harder then throwing it around B for 8-10 mins. I feel it really makes you focus on your concentration (mine terrible and my mind wanders multiple times in a race).

I personally really enjoy B so won’t be following my own advice but just my two cents 😂😂

@BBerlingo gooe to see you out there buddy

Agree, Race C gives you a real workout! I end up all hot and sweaty 🥵

Did you manage it without a tyre change?

Yeah sweaty hands on the wheel never ends well

No mate, I did the tyre change. For me I felt it was quicker. But I don’t think there is much to it.

I’m not very good on hard tyres or worn tyres as my driving style is more aggressive than it is smooth so I need the extra grip to smooth over my mistakes 😂
