Tyre wear at 4x for Race C looks promising.

Anything above, and I tend to suffer regardless of my attempts at conservation.

The Enzo looks promising too...

Wow, no SUGO yet on daily? That's a bummer. I was expecting this week, maybe next?
I think it’s the first time we get a new track and it’s not featured in the following set of daily races.

The McLaren F1 is a lovely dark horse for race B. Understeers a bit and not as agile in the first set of corners, but in better hands than mine, I think can be a winner.

Check this idiot out!!!🫣🙄🤠

Those are the names you write down and the next time you see them you murder them asap. They'll never learn but the alternative is letting them decide when your race is ruined.
The other alternative, I guess, is quit the lobby but then you take the SR hit anyways. Might as well get revenge.

What in the flying monkeys backside was he trying to do there? Halfwit.

This is mostly me pottering about at the front, but thanks to being fortunate, finally have my first win with the Jag in Gr3 format.

The Enzo matches really well to CGV, very satisfying to unwind out of the turns.

I haven’t had a chance on Interlagos yet but I am thrilled to see the variety, including my old pokey friend the 4C making a surprise cameo in the fastest laps.

Yes, I've not needed to change tyres at the pitstop - not even half worn by the end of the race (GT-R, haven't tried the NSX, so don't know how that fares).

Can’t be bothered again.

Glhf peeps.

Judy can’t muster the motivation, they aren’t compelling and clearly not aimed at me do go forth and conquer

@Andyxdr this is what I've been trying to say.

It's going to take years of practice for you to reach the level you've apparently got the ambition for. Complaining that controllers are somehow limited is frivolous given that PD very specifically focus on balancing the game around all input methods and skill levels.
Okay. Thanks and sorry. So, it'll take more than four years?

Don't apologise mate! And no-one knows how long it could take. It could take a hundred years, but it'll be for nothing if you aren't enjoying yourself in the meantime.

Okay. I'll just keep doing my best for the coming years and maybe at some point, I can reach the level of skill I want.

We’re getting the whole kitchen cabinet in Race B. The Supra and the Beetle are emerging as somewhat meta, but there has been a refreshing variety of cars proving to be competitive: 4C, AMG GT3, Porsches, even the Lancer judging by the leaderboard. If there is a downside, it’s that passing opportunities can be difficult at Interlagos. But I love the flow of this track. I might just camp here for the week.

Race B is a bit chaotic🫣
But great to see so many different cars - I guess it'll get more samey later in the week.

I thought my time was decent but I started 14th on the grid 😂 The race was won by 5 seconds with an A+ guy that always does great in the 296.

Beetles seem good around the twisty bits - Supra a beast on the straights... I'm sticking with the '18 GT-R at the moment

I've had fun at Interlagos in the past, but, yeah, it's pretty common for races there to end up being wreckfests and I did poorly the second time I tried it for Daily Race B this week. It doesn't help that the race forces players to use hard tires.

Between daily b being the home track of dirty driving and daily c being wreckfest it's a GTA week

I was able to do good during both of the two times I did Race C for Group 2 cars at Suzuka, though it does get tiring fast because of its length.

Is it me or do gr3 cars now feel totally neutered? Had a good run in the beetle yesterday but didn’t feel right, immediately improved in the lancer but they feel like gr4 should

Fighting my way out of sr B still trying to stay clean,

I thought they felt ok, but could maybe be a bit quicker🤔 I like that the hard tyres feel a bit more skittish that the mediums we had last week - but overall there's maybe too much grip - which keeps the racing closer maybe?

GR2 feels a bit 'rubbery' to me. The wild oscillation seems to have greatly reduced with the recent update, but the cars lack feedback (to me) - might have to adjust something on the wheel now and see what happens.

My decent qualifying time on B has me among super-aliens, and it's a bit brutal! I think I need to learn the Supra or Jag to be competitive there

Mate switch on haptic feedback / trigger effects which should help you a little with trail braking. I was playing with controller for 7 years or so. Just shifted to a wheel now. Controller has its pros & cons & a wheel does too.

What button configuration You're using for gears? Square for downshift & X for upshift is handy.
I tried turning on the trigger effects, but they didn't help at all. You think maybe I could develop the talent to be amazingly fast with a controller at some point even if I've been struggling for four years?

It’s possible of course. There are some incredible controller players who are regularly near or at the top of the leaderboards.

For me, I have been playing GT since ‘97, but am I fast with a controller? Absolutely not. In my opinion it is a very specific skill to be fast with a controller, and my brain just cannot compute what needs to be done with it in order to be fast.

It was in the GT Sport days that I invested in a wheel, and since then I have added different things over the years to have the rig that I now have. With all this equipment, driving is intuitive and much easier to understand. I have since become good enough to join an esports team and I enjoy my driving more than ever.

To sum up, maybe the controller just doesn’t make sense to you in the same way as with me. If you are serious about getting faster, I would say a wheel is the way to go. Whatever you choose, I echo what someone said above. What’s most important is that you enjoy the experience and have fun!

I wish you and myself good luck and thanks.

Does anybody have a secret sauce I'm missing to race B? I'm trying really hard and my quali is only a 1:35.5, trying to get into the 34s because it's all fun with the mid pack, but would rather be going upfront.

Not managed to get on since mid last week, but got a few hours in this evening, managed to squeak into the 45's. Which has allowed me to start up the field in 3 races and lose a whopping 3k DR  didn't even complete the first lap of 2 races, span myself off on T1 and in the esses and just went in to constantly spinning on the gravel and when I got back on I was 20+ seconds behind. 3rd race leafing lap 11 an spun myself in the esses again!!! :boggled:
Check this idiot out!!!🫣🙄🤠

I think you're being harsh, we've all missed out braking point before!!! You must have really upset him earlier though as he was driving like an absolute mad man to catch you!!!

In all seriousness these people really need to give their head a wobble, it's just wasting all the time and effort you've put in. So frustrating.

Interesting. I did think it might work for a no stopper, will maybe try it tomorrow. I'm in the Nsx though so think it might be harsher on the tyres.

Mate I felt the exact same way a month or two ago and spent weeks just leaving the rig in the corner, still feel that way sometimes. I found forcing myself into the rig for a few laps even when I didn't want to got the juices flowing again.

Mate - stop putting so much pressure on yourself by focusing purely on the destination. Enjoy the journey and the progress you're making!!!

Seems like Race B is where all the aliens are playing this week, I didn't see any A+ drivers at all in my 3 races this evening.

I felt Gr2 still felt quick and skitish/easy to lose the car, especially on the curbs.

Have you beat my QT? Logged in around 6pm today and you hadn't yet. Did a few laps and knocked half a 10th off my best. I was 850th in the world and that half a tenth saved put me at around 380th. Crazy how close the QTs are in the top 1000 players. I think my best is currently a 1:46:320. Still much more theoretical time to be saved but it's tough. When watching the GOATs like Digit he can pull out a top 100 QT within a few laps of trying. Granted he has some of the best gear available but I think he could do the same with a T300 tbh. Players like that just have such a precise eye for when they can exit out of a corner at full throttle and they just know they'll make it without lifting off or running wide.

I’m a little(scratch that), a lot out of practice but I have to say that the diversity in daily B is super nice. I had a go in the 296 (didn’t go well, started p16, no qualy, drove carefully in the first turns and turn 3 is the furthest I got, spun myself🤦‍♂️)

Next race I tried the supra, and although I wasn’t very fast, I had a lot of fun with a Brazilian in a lambo with whom I fought for the final 2 laps, clean and respectful driving. I finished 13..

Race C for this week is starting to grow on me a whole lot. I've been able to move up from where I started because I love fast cars like the Group 2 ones and the NSX Concept-GT absolutely resonates with me. :D

I find I'm having to go slower than what it feels I should be through the first left, but then getting the best exit possible - makes a big difference, and also trying to get a great exit up the hill to the start/finish. And taking lots of kerb through the twisty bits.

I don't think I'll get any quicker unless I can get to grips with the Supra - it certainly seems strongest in the race
