Nice one!

Just had a win too - started P2, guy on pole tried to squeeze me off on the straight after Bruxelles, and he shot off into the gravel!

This one took me back to DR B - been bouncing up and down between B & C all week! First race back at B, kicked out with a server error on lap 4 🤨

Really struggling to get out of sr B

Have some really great races and in the cusp of moving up and a bad one keeps me there,

Generally it’s good racing

SR B or DR B?

It's strange how the start position works - yesterday I was starting P12ish, and making up places each race, putting me a couple of pixels away from the top of C. First race today I start P2!

Must have been less players on today perhaps?

Anyway, a huge range of competitive cars in the races today - must be the closest they've ever got to getting the Gr3 bop right?

Having said that, I think Spa is one of those tracks where the driver is more important than the car - I've been in races this week where the pole driver has a QT 3 seconds faster than me, and they just drive off leaving everybody in their dust 😆
 
Just tried Race C - is everyone else nearly 2 seconds slower?

I messed up my race by running wide, but the mostly Elantra race was won by a TT, with another one in 5th.

Sr B mate, I’ve sat in S for as long as I can remember and I pride myself on getting white sr, full, can’t be improved

Defo the rage quitting did it, but struggling to get it back without doing 15 laps of C

The supra has come from nowhere and is ridiculous on the straights but on the turny bits I don’t think it’s any good

I’ve been in the Jag which does seem the best balanced

I had one race today where Supras finished P1 &P2 - tried it myself for a QT, it was 1.5 seconds slower than the Jag for me.
 
So... I managed to clock in a 1:24,004 in the Elantra before the Update in Daily C and that set me pretty much in every race in front or second row.

And as the week went on my DR of course also improved a lot, which led to situations where I ended up in lobbys with mostly A or in some cases even A+ rated drivers.

Turns out that theres a lot of very fragile egos who can't stand it getting beaten by someone B rated... Almost every race in these mixed lobbys I got punted into oblivion. Zero respect. Nada.

If You got obviously punted on purpose, were their SR S for sure? Also did You get punted at the start or end of the race?

I follow one mantra in daily race C especially.....'if You're faster than me, You have my respect & space'....in other words, I won't block a faster player starting behind me (fast either because of RS tyres or because of DR skill) overtake on me in the first 2 laps because this will just slow each other.

Because I let an obvious faster player overtake me at the start (a faster player may not put in a strong qualy time for abc reason) I kind of earn their respect. I make my intention known not only by moving a little over the racing line but also by blinking my indicator.

Even when I catch up to someone, instead of overtaking, I prefer to bumpdraft because driving in slipstream is way more beneficial.
 
Wasn't raced in Daily for a long long time, until Lago had 1000% cr boost, but even then I did 3 races.

But today I couldn't resist to try my luck on my favorite track, though I did only 3-4 qualifying laps...

Here it is, I was doing great until I made mistake and got 0.500s penalty, that cost me a lot.

Managed a win yesterday, albeit in BB, due to 3 rage quits! But decided to stick with Spa and try out a few cars, the Audi felt toothless but managed a top 5 in it, the Supra felt really good and I managed to improved my QT with even though I dropped 4tenths which would have seen me hit a 2.18

Love it when you just bide your time and the leaders do all the work for you



But I did almost bin it last corner, you know when you think that reset is going to ruin it for you

Do you use a controller or a steering wheel? If you use a controller, I'd like to know what techniques you use because it's so hard for me to go fast when I try playing with a controller even when I put a lot of effort and practice into it. I try to trail brake, but my pace still isn't improving.

I use a wheel and I’m 5k less DR than you 😁

I don’t get too hung up on times, I prefer racing and racecraft, the QT is a means to a starting position so if that’s the best you can do, maybe the track just isn’t your favourite or at least one which suits your racing style?

I see on gtstats you were nearly 40k back in August, that’s pretty decent - what changed since then? Maybe just a circuit which really suited you and you farmed DR?

Most of us will never improve more past a point id say, you might have reached that point

I understand. By the way, races in August were great, but sadly, things started going downhill for me later on and I lost a lot of DR points because the races started getting bad and update 1.71 just made things worse.

Mate switch on haptic feedback / trigger effects which should help you a little with trail braking. I was playing with controller for 7 years or so. Just shifted to a wheel now. Controller has its pros & cons & a wheel does too.

Thanks. I'll try that. 👍 Oh, and I use R2 for acceleration and L2 for braking and X and Square for shifting.

The Enzo Ferrari is cool, but I bet its handling is bad because of its heavy V12 engine. I'm not good with cars like that. 😔

Not with my PS5 to check but the GT7 subreddit says B is a Gr3 race.

@Andyxdr this is what I've been trying to say.

It's going to take years of practice for you to reach the level you've apparently got the ambition for. Complaining that controllers are somehow limited is frivolous given that PD very specifically focus on balancing the game around all input methods and skill levels.
 
The Gr3 Balance of Performance may actually now be Balanced, for this week at least. The early Interlagos leaderboard top 50 is a wonderful mix - GT-R, Beetle, Lancer (!), 4C, RSR, Supra, WRX, M3 (!), F-Type, F1 GTR (!!!), Vantage, RCZ.

Long may it continue,.

No idea why he was grouped with me and a bunch of A ranks, he should be in the top split?
I'm running with TC1 in this race. The curbs are ridiculous sometimes, like ice. It's easy to wreck your tyres in sector 1 if you're not careful. I've been pitting lap 6, but doesn't really matter when you pit tbh as one guy pitted lap 4 and finished 3rd.
 
Took part in one final race at Sardegna B before the new dailies would step in. Although, there wasn't A or A+ rated driver on the grid, winning this race was still a small relief as I'm trying to be consistent lap after lap to drag my DR back to A.

It's not unlikely that that was the top split lobby in that moment. It's either that or he had some SR loss in the previous race.

I've been pitting lap 1 - starting near the back, this gives me a good run in clean air then. Made up places in both races that way so far (GT-R).

The lobbies have also been as varied, even with a lean towards the Beetle and 911. A lot of spinning on track too. Everyone's forgot how to drive anything that isn't a Hyundai.
 
Starting to enjoy Race B even if it has a fair amount of clowns 🤡 visiting from the local circus 🎪.
Avoid the carnage in T1 and 1 might have a chance. 🤣🤠

Turn 1 has usually been okay for me. It's at turn 8 on the infield where the divebombers come out to play.
