🤣

How many laps do you invalidate with other cars? 😝

Edit: just banter mate.
Too many to count!

I just did a few laps on my Uk account in the Mazda for B to see if I could replicate last nights performance. Down to a 1:32.3 something currently and I started to play with tuning to see if it might help. Apart from brake bias at +3 helping a bit, so far I don’t think I’m gaining anything.

If anything, I’ll leave the suspension stock, BB at +3 and make the diff a bit more extreme, say 7, 47, 5.

I’ll be busy during the day but may actually try a race later. Is it still carnage?

Yes it's still carnage, and it's Sunday night cage battle carnage for me. I actually stopped racing....the shock the horror but it's not the lobbies I like so will leave it till tomorrow now.

Yeah, I’m not going to risk my main account. If I race it’ll be on my UK account so that’s going to be a wild bunch of night owls, early Monday morning brigade from Eastern Europe, Russia, Middle East and India. Fun times! :D

Just to add that was me Pole or 2nd and still not enjoying the racing.

So with your time I'd imagine a solid pole or a really sweaty A one (the driving will probably be good but the pace "challenging")

Edit: @GrumpyOldMan just to say that my posts are all from a B rated driver....b rated. So don't judge me 🤣😝

I’ve had a real good day at DF, almost got myself up to BS, literally stayed on for one last race which put me back to BB🤣 but genuinely I haven’t had this much fun in a while, improved my time by a 100th🤣

I even had to hand a win to someone, side by side down the hill, last lap, did squeeze him out a little and he wiped out. someone got ahead of him so i needed to brake test him in order to give the win back and then second back, but seriously it was that good racing was the only way to level things and both drivers appreciated it

Roll on spa gents!

I've gone the opposite way this week, and have gone from a DR mid-B to C! First time in years I haven't been a B. SR keeps going up and down the A level, haven't managed a B or an S yet.

Having said that I went from starting P14 or worse as DR B, to starting P4 in my first C race - finished P3, nearly back to B already....

Oh yes B tonight is a dog fight, tried two races. 4th to 16th first lap hairpin and right at the bottom of the hill just smashed into the wall by a no braking Mazda from 4 cars back.
That's my week done but did improve my QT and nearly got @Nebuc72

It’s just how it goes mate and I guess we’ve all been there! It’s funny how some of us enjoy weeks which others don’t or even (like this week for me) we end up enjoying weeks which we didn’t think we would 🤣

Funny ole game stuff

but I’d agree fighting top end of C then bottom end of B is defo acceptable 😂

Very nice time! Mind sharing the settings? Last ones I used are:

7/7
35/ 35
45/ 45
2.65 / 2.8

Also added you on PSN, same username :) Nice to have another friend to challenge myself on the LB with :)

Had a few like that this week , had a spécial tonight as today i finally décide to have a go with the Mazda in race even if i'm slower with it.
One race a lancer did not like i pass him after the airspin at start . So on second lap at hairspin he dive bomb on me , got red everywhere with engine , then he managed to wait for me at the next airspin to get right in front of me even if i know he was going to do something weird , and was able to get me a 4 sec penalty....and i was almost stop.
I was still around p10 and he wait again for me on the straight , watching replay he got a litle push at first airspin at start from another mazda. Best of all end of race he still had the fairplay bonus.
Good skilled from him at ruining other race as i seen him push a few other car , all of that in a full B/s lobby.
But had two other race with the Mazda that were really nice and clean , and even if i'm not good with this car it's much easier to resist than with the Ferrari.

All in the end i'm still B./S for the end of this week , usually i'm back to C after 2 /3 race 🤣🤣.

I will have a last go i think to try your settings, thanks for sharing

Edit: @Robster UK it is the best settings for my driving i have tried this week on the Mazda , thanks again.

Funny i just race again with that lancer guy , well this time he it was not after me but Seen him in my mirror doing carnage again ...

Dude - what a difference! I did make some changes to suit my style a bit more, but overall - wow! I only had 4 practice laps and didn't have enough time to really perfect the settings but still - what a difference! Immediately shaved 0.2s from my time to get a 1:31:8 and also did well in the race itself! Cheers dude, shame it's the last night of the week but still, very much appreciate it! 😂

Did 1 race and gained 3 places - no idea why I lost the clean bonus but anyways.. I guess the big difference in my setup is the acceleration sensitivity. And my DD Pro settings but no idea how to publish them without getting a notepad and writing every setting down 😂 In-game settings are at 4/ 1 though! Thanks again!

Sorry 😀

I put a tune on this one.

Brake bias +3.

Edit: notice the tape on screen? That’s a left over from the time trials. It marks the edge of the car. Works in both bumper and roof cam. That improves my time as I can now use more of the track and it helps me avoid track limit penalties and spin outs from wheels on grass.

Same, I didn’t think I may like DF but well, it was pretty nice racing and I stayed in NSX and switched to the Ferrari. Kept DR B and I’m back (for now) to SR S 🙃

I ended up doing four B races, 3 in Europe and 1 in the US. Now I am kicking myself for not investing some time earlier in the week on this. Ironically, I was terrible at this on Monday and I hated it. I think a couple of weeks doing the terrible Monza/Genesis TT and now the Mt. Parorama/Gr.3 TT has taught me a bit more finesse, at least when it comes to driving awkward cars on twisty but fast tracks.

After getting a top 300 global time, I jumped on race 1 in Europe (mid DR B ranking). Of course there is always someone faster so I was Q2. First race was interesting as I was figuring out the car for the first time fully fueled. First lap I got to go side by side with P1 after the hairpin but couldn't make it stick in the right hander after the tunnel so back to 2nd. Lap 3 I under braked coming out the tunnel at turn 13, went wide and hit the barrier for a 1 second penalty. That dropped me to 11th. After that in the back of the field I took advantage of carnage and poor driving and worked my way back to finish 6th.

The next two races were uneventful as I worked out the fully fueled handling of the car. Both times I started 2nd but was not able to hold it. The next race I did a whoopsie like race 1 between the tunnels dropping me to 4th but I was able to outrun a 650S on the long straight to get back to 3rd. The last race was also 2nd to 3rd. That time I got passed by a slipstreaming Mazda on the starting straight lap 3.

As I was unsure how this would translate to racing on my main account (28% DR A), I was encouraged by the fact that I was finishing ahead of some other DR A drivers on the alt account. The fact that I was lapping in 1:33.5s appeared to be the pace with a fully fueled Mazda.

Switching to Normsk_US, I jumped in a race. That was a mix of A+ to B. My (slower) QT on this account had me in 4th. I Finished in 4th just +2.456s back from the leader. 1st and 2nd went to A+ Ferrari 458 drivers. The rest of the field was pretty much Mazdas. That race had a weird start though. While in auto-drive, the cars crossed the line going to full race pace (in auto drive remember). It was only as I was passing though turn 1, that the race countdown started at which point I got downshifted from 6th to 4th and lost around 50mph to 87mph. Luckily it didn't cause any issues that downshift mid corner.

I got positive points from all these races and clean race bonuses as well (apart from the first where I crashed and had to deal with carnage later). I could have had a good week if I'd figured this out earlier. :D

Has PD heard us? Daily Race C this week is 20 Laps on Suzuka with Gr.3, which is 45 mins at my pace.

Who's in? :D
Glad they listening to you as they ain’t listening to my want of road America for the last year! Maybe that’s already on the roadmap for somewhere.

Race c is always too long for me, I don’t have the stamina for it 😂

But enjoy your week, 👊

That's unusual. Fair play if they're trying something different though.

B is normally my domain but Gr.4 is way too slow for Spa, and the track has so many flatout sections that 3 laps is nowhere near enough to actually make good racing.
It'll make for a good Mazda3 one make though. As usual.

Spa Gr.4? Your f…… kidding me!

Edit: actually I just saw tidgneys lap in the 650 and the leaderboards don’t have many Mazda in, so despite my rage on hearing this, might not be too bad, if the 458 is decent - might be a decent, although quick race, kind of week!

I was excited when I first read this week Race B was Spa and C was Suzuka, but 3 laps at Spa or 20 at Suzuka, is pushing the extremes. Race B, you’ll spend more time waiting than racing. Race C could’ve been interesting, if they’d given options on tyres and therefore strategy, but without it surely after the first 10 or so laps the field will spread, with little change thereafter, other than some individual battles here and there. Maybe we’ll see some weather come into play, to spice it up.

B being 7 minutes and C being 40+ is really funny.

I think a race under 8-9 minutes is barely a race at all, and more oft a glorified demolition derby because of the attitude it encourages, and your only alternative this week now being to race for almost an hour is.. a choice.

I genuinely don't know anyone that would complain if B doubled in length to be around 15 minutes by default. Do whatever with C, because it's always been the more 'tryhardy' race but at least keep B proportionately respectable.

It's time for daily b 15', daily c 25' and daily d with 40' races. Make it happen PD.

Ain't nobody got time for that Race C. But Race B is also weird, track too long, cars too slow and most of all laps not enough. Last week was great with 6 laps instead of the usual 4. A race should never be shorter than the time you have to wait for the next one to start.
