Too late in the week to be bothering with racing so I decided to play with the clio at Brands. I did about 40 laps and I am still .3 seconds off @newmedia_dev 's time...I gave up 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I could keep going but it's not a particularly easy car to drive, 1 slip in the kerb and it's game over 🤣🤣 I gave up and went for a pint instead 🙈 I did get into the top 500 but that's a bit pointless really 🤣. The tracks this week just don't really get me motivated at all

To be honest I’ve given up and gone for a pint or 5 as well.

I love the track time more than I like other people 🤣🤣🤣

Can’t decide which one I prefer, had 3 races earlier, won 1, so switched back to the G70 and won another, those are hard to split

I honestly think it comes down to the lobby.

The choke point is they both cars carry different apex speeds and line, and the exits can be hit and miss.

In race trim over a whole lap I think the G70 is faster, in QT with no traffic the Atenza is quicker.

It’s sort of interesting and not at the same time.

The G70 is a safer race choice the Mazda is the faster car but it isn’t as easy to extract the time from.

Having just got home, I actually want to share this, not only is Luc exceptionally fast but also very clear in why braking earlier is faster. With explaining it

Thanks for uploading this, I love stuff like this, kireth did one recently where he spoke about braking hard and fast and coast around the corner and accelerate and really it helped.

I’ll come back to this one

That one you mention is not something I engage with.

I try to post or share honest/good content. That person does very little of that.

This is just my opinion though.

No it’s fine, I’m new to all of this, serious race craft. I’m in it for the experience so the more I see the more I learn,

He is just all I have seen on that front, I’ll keep searching it out

There are a whole bunch of second level peeps and I’m one them or even lower.

Be very careful with that streamer for for content or tips.

That will be all I say on it now.

If you open that right handed, and brake a bit later, you, open up for that quad turn you'd be even more dangerous! I'm twitchy in the spot your solid, I'm solid in other spots!

Your high B/S? Seems we're close in skill I'm mid B/S
 
Has anyone come across someone using a lag switch? Doing daily race B and the leader gained 1.5s after instantaneously dropping 40kmh, getting hit by the person slipstreaming, then getting launched to 240kmh by the collision. Seemed very... convenient

Had a fun Sunday Lobby Cup race at Dragon Trial, when switched to the G70 I manged to nip a victory in the bud! Come on!

The death chicane ate up the front pack leaders and I capitilised to win muwahahah!

Been a fun week and finally getting into my groove. Doubt I'll land a 39...plenty of optimals in the 39.6 - 8 range but just can't tie it all together, lol. Caved and started running the G70 and found I hate it WAY less than I used to.😁

This was probably my favorite incident so far. They went for the bump-pass (could be wrong on that) and I was able to convert to switcheroo to get my spot back.👍


Had a couple flag-to-finish runs, but those are kinda boring


Overall, kinda diggin' the Genesis. So much so that I threw some stickerz-n-paint at it (second vid) and rebranded it the NeMesis G70.🤣

Only one race this week at Dragon. It was enough to bring me back to DR A, but the mood I've seen made me chose to pull the plug just after. Lil tired from "Le Mans 24 hrs" weekend, coupled with F1 and Superbike. I reduced the QT to a '39.45 meanwhile. So, after surviving to the massacre behind me and some homicide attempt, it didn't make sense to me to add others possible frustrations to a pleasant weekend (Kubica was immense btw).
I too muss say that I'm now very at ease with the G70, to the point that (even not being meta) I was way more confy than in the Atenza. I'm now planning a Gurzu style livery for her in future.
For the viewers, I don't know what was wrong with the guy in the Lambo, maybe was just the VR...

Stella drive mate, love the inside view of the G70,

After starting the week in the G70 I spent the weekend in the Atenza, but I have to say I’ve had a great weeks racing, super clean and back up to high BS, I’d certainly get to DR A if I had another week of this.

I’ll post up the weeks offerings shortly,

Let’s hope for another banger, I’d be happy with Gr3, Spa, RM

Did you take a small break because I haven't seen you post in a while here. You like the Genesis, I'm a fan of the Porsche car. We have different likes for cars, :)

Enjoy racing this week mate and avoid those immature drivers. Stay strong. I don't understand why PD likes to choose Deep Forest so much for the daily races. Watkins Glen too, and don't get me started on the Maggiore business.

And the BoP regulations sucks the fun out of the races because it limits power. And any tuning mods or things from the GT auto will be neutral meaning that the settings will always be reset. I haven't watched your video yet.

It's been a while since I've done any Daily Races, but with this gap between GTWS seasons, I've been feeling the itch to do some real racing. I've already settled on Ford for the next Manu Cup season, so I decided to jump into Race B this morning in the GT Race Car '18 to get some practice, and to adjust my DR to a point where I can be competitive in the car.

It went about how I expected. Q11 (with a time of 1:42.423) to P10. Mixed A/S and B/S lobby. Mostly clean racing, with only one incident at the start of the race due to a poor rejoin by a driver who accidentally ran the race on W tires. Made some overtakes and some mistakes. Good fun.

Knocked about 2% of my DR, too. I feel like it has lot more dropping to do before it settles to a point where I can consistently finish mid-pack. I'm hoping I can at least maintain a B rating, but we'll see.
