racing on my US account today and I’m starting towards the front because I quit a load last time I used it but back up to full S and flirting with A

It doesn’t matter what region those A+ guys just find that fraction more than I can find.

Got to race with forum friends which is always cool especially as im crossing the pond!

I know I said I wouldn’t race this weekend but the opportunity arose tonight to squeeze a couple in, first race, against 2 lambos, ended up p2 in between them,

Second race I won against another G70, I struggle in race for the last corner, but just held it last lap 😁

Need some time on the TT tomorrow, green hell and GV

It was my kids last day at school so treated myself to some seat time before they become a PITA for 2.5 months.

Generally did pretty well, top 5 finishes if I wasn't nerfed off. Had a few races with Glen, one in particular we started P1 and P2 and P3 onward all hit each other after T1 so we circulated alone. I could generally hang with the pasty brit through sectors 1 and 2, close enough anyways but dear lord baby jesus the final sequence of corners he just bloody vanishes every lap. A solid half second to 8 tenths per lap just from the 2nd tunnel exit to the stat/finish, I simply cannot carry the speed he does through that esses complex.

I did manage to get up to Race A after my final race, not sure if that is a good thing or not!

You raced exceptionally well mate, no comment from me. I’m a tad quicker and that is ok, im not better just find that tiny bit of pace here and there.

Edit:

I’m not the pasty one that is @TechnoIsLove who lives in the tax haven and weirdly drives a Saab? Yeah? Weird.

I am a little pasty but I live for my 2 weeks by the pool so meh ;)

I've had the same Saab wagon for 16 years. I decided to keep it rather than upgrade and instead purchased a mid life crisis sportscar, i mean it was that or a mistress!

You're a touch quicker sector 1 and 2, some corners I am a touch faster but the last bit of the lap you just disappear. I was watching the splits pretty closely and it was nuts the gap you were pulling through the esses.

For the other races, I think we have reverse experiences, in one I got turned around and you won I think, in the others you were bottom 3 by the end so I assume a victim of some sketchy move and I scraped and scratched to top 4 finishes. The last race was outstanding, very, very tidy racing from the boys around me, i will try to post it later.

I only chucked in a quick qually lap and it was only good enough for 345th, but racing and race pace really solid.

I’m not racing these lobbies to take away from anyone, so will quit or leave. But I do not cause carnage or issues either, I let the A+ guy go do his thing etc.

I'll show you pasty..... 🤣

I'm quite pale for a Malteser, I think there's like 1/32nd Scottish or something. I tend to brown in the sun not go red so the arabic/southern Italian thing is strong but baseline colour is pale for the breed.

Had an awful day today on Daily B!
The good, I got my QT down to 2:03.6, which was my aim today.
The bad, I took a hit on my safety rating, going from S to A. It's my fault for reacting to a couple of dirty b******s. Been punted about and late breaked off the track to many times today, which is starting to wear thin.
Got to admit, my enthusiasm to play right now has gone down alot. Too many dirty racers and not enough punishment. Might give it a few days break.
Yeah, ...that is exactly why I don't race online (the Daily Races) as much as I'd like to 😞

I tried qualifying for the Daily Races, ...but I'm not quick enough to get on the front row, ...so I start the race mostly in the middle of the pack and therefore, 80% of the time, I get involved in some unnecessary nonsense at Turn 1, which requires me to rejoin the race in last place.

These days, if I do venture to a Daily Race, I won't qualify, and I start at the back of the grid and try to make my way up the placings during the race. This is what I've succumbed to do. Sad, isn't it? 😩

However, I continue to read this Daily Races thread often, as I'm interested and I enjoy reading the online racing stories and learning more about racing in GT7 👍

Wait... You have origins from Malta? I already rated you about 5X better as a racer and human more than @newmedia_dev but if you have ties to the motherland, that increases to about 10X! 🙃

Fun fact, Malta has a population of about 500k with 400k being actual Maltese. There are about 350k 1st and 2nd gen Maltese in Canada and around 800k in Australia! None of which (thankfully) are Glen! 🤣 🤪

My mother is from Haz Zebbug, dad from Xahrah, so fully Maltese, hence the link with you as Maltesers with a Saab fetish. My grandparents emigrated to Australia, I was born there and married a CDN girl and find myself still here somewhat reluctantly. All my family, and it is a large one, emigrated to Australia. So a total of 7 uncles and 8 aunts emigrated and there's 31 direct cousins still in OZ. My last name is a town in Malta.

Back to matters racing, did anyone give Race C a go this week or not interesting enough?

Don’t despair, there are good days and bad days racing in dailies, but I’d say the good far far outweigh the bad.

You do need to put some time into quali, personally I watch the @Tidgney videos every week and look what the fastest time does it and also the slowest top 100 time which has a replay, because there are different ways to be fast.

But you gotta keep going, leave plenty of space first couple of corners and the racers will know you a careful driver and return the favour, mostly 😁

Try different times of the day to race as they have different groups of people in and you’ll be surprised how clean you can find racing.

Go get them 👊

@NevilleNobody nah, Fuji is not for me, haven’t turned a wheel there

Yeah Ràce C probably good, just did that track not long ago! Might have to give it another try

I thought I’d do A to max my SR again….ended up doing about 15 in a row on Friday such is the fun and fair racing this week there!!!
Just doing a few now, before it gets too hot!

Just met @NAXEHT - wasn't too long before he whizzed past me. Unfortunately the guy who followed him through gave me a gentle nudge - more grass mown!

Too many A and A+ drivers in these lobbies 😉

Next race was all DR C, got away on pole, pulling away from P2 easily, suddenly my seat collapses - more grass mown!

Usually I enjoy a little race A rinsing 😁 but haven’t touched this one this week, race B has been fun and clean, hopefully next week will have something fun, it’s turning out that weeks with gr3 are the ones i am doing those race As 😁

I have to say im similar I just don’t really enjoy the Gr3 car races and even when there is semblance of strat it’s fairly 2 dimensional :(

A this week is amazing in VR but full transparency because of my clavicle/shoulder issues im using CSA week for A.

Also in VR some of the interiors are more red than you have ever seen red 🤣

Mostly been repairing my US account and it’s not back to full S and DR A for the next manu seasons that come around

I need to try this, like the radical it’s excelling in open tops and open wheelers.

Thanks mate, you given me the reason to go back 😁

Once I get all this beer drunk and bbq eaten 🤣
