Have absolutely zero interest in Nurbs for a one lap race or any length race, won’t even set a QT for it.

I’ll do C but probably not many unless I get a unicorn QT lap.

I just remember the last gr4 race there when the huracan was the car to be in and that was a decent race, as long as it’s no 3 wheel van type of pointless race I’ll be happy

So this is me done for the week, it’s been a very good gain for me but it’s a track I favour and all of the cars were good, in hindsight I wouldn’t have gone from the Nissan to the Porsche but ultimately it doesn’t matter in GR3

The best I could do was 4th in an A/A+ lobby that felt like top split (Dreamcatcher, Mario sonic) so it was definitely at the sharp end.

For some reason my vr doesn’t seem to look so good? Do you find the vr not quite a 4k screen? Otherwise what setting do you have, I need to get more into this, I had a few wins today but I stand by it looks better on my lg C1 than in vr

So VR is not 50” OLED quality. But it’s exceptionally good in volumetric view. My VR has pop in and can depending on headset position be grainy/awkward. But when it’s nailed it’s wonderful.

All that said in daily races the visuals aren’t the reason to use it, the experience and visability is much more important than 4K FOR ME, mileage varies on these things.

But VR feels closer to reality than the over saturated glossy GT default and that realism plus car positioning and being “in the moment” are why I only race this way now

Let's sum up TM weekend. I finally got my 100th win. Lot of fun on the Lexus, (really antimeta) against a multitude of MR cars. Never seen somebody else in any of my lobbies in a RCF. All DR B races started from pole, sometimes with even 1.7 sec margin on the 2nd 😳. I binned some result always as I use to do it, with class. When mixed in A+/A lobbies (as the only B) it was carnage, but I could save a podium (from 3rd on grid) only by pace, keeping the 4th (A+ on a Merc) at bay with ar. 2 sec margin at the end. Despite 5 dominant wins, that's my preferred one. The problem is that when an A-A+ drivers sees a B in grid with a QT he can olny dream about, he sees red. Therefore I was intentionally punted out in all others mixed races. In 2 of them I was following the 1st and then bam, smashed twice from the same killer. Afterwords, in the chat, people were comforting me telling how a dirty idiot the guy is.
Anyway I'm getting back near to the 1% delay from aliens in Gr3, that's what count more fore me. 5 tenths from Tidg's time (it is already gold for me cause I could go 2-3 tenths faster), 6th overall in the RCF (1.14% users of ar 58500 players) and 2nd in my country (636 players).

Funny though, I completed "only" 607 races out of 729. So I've ar 120 rage quits 🤬 (don't remember the last one, maybe at Autopolis)

Next weekend it will be Brands, either on the G70 or the NSX.

Well it’s all I got this week so be good to try something different than group touring cars.

@Gurzu nice work m8, I managed to beat my leaderboard time with my ‘alt’ forced to use account 😁 1.52.861 but I never had a week with so many lost winning positions, but was nice driving the Porsche again, started to drive it smoothly at Sunday evening 😁

If you look at the event screen you can see all the details. BoP on means you can't tune (see image bottom left - "BoP/Tuning Forbidden - On").

You can also rent any car so you don't need to use one from your garage (bottom right button).

I see the Megane as the new meta at Brands, like at Laguna. Was there a secret BoP update for gr4? Last time the G70 was ultra-meta there, with the GTR and the Lambo (I was on the NSX antimeta). Now the Megane has 6 tenths advantage on the G70!?! Another one car cup race, apparently...😒

As expected it is a one make, the Megane was always going to be tough to beat at Brands because of the layout and the downforce that car has. I may take the opportunity to finish my Menu Books, though most of what I have left is rallying which I despise with a passion.

Had some quali and a race at sardegna at lunch, that’s got a real track day vibe going on, in some ways like the fact that it’s got DR because some smart driving will eventually give some like minded people to race 😁 hopefully.

Got a 1.43.7xx once I managed to get around the track without crashing or spinning out etc, it’s certainly a handful.

Started p4 and p2 asked for a clean race and p3 laughed up him (this is ominous I thought)

P1 binned it first corner, then half way in p3 took p2 out, I nearly had this chap when he put it all out in the sand but as usual you follow the car and I spun it 🤣

I shall get myself a decent livery tonight and do some track days all week! 👌

Yes! After a week away from Sport Mode, I'm gonna return to have a go at my favourite sort of race. Race A looks good, and perhaps it wont fizzle out by tomorrow, with DR enabled and all.

Managed to improve my QT to 1.52.861, but you won’t see this on the leaderboard because I managed to get myself a ban for 7 days, 😬

Alcohol fuelled and slightly embarrassing I have to say but it is what it is, further laments the fact that weekend racing on certain tracks/cars is doomed to disaster, I did manage to put some TT in and 4m credits should be on the way. Then I’ll do that on my account from Friday night next week.

Probably need to grow up but you know how it goes

Welcome to the 7 days club. I haven't said any bad words, but maybe, after some years, they found one of my stickers offensive. How should I know, i am out of Kindergarten for quiet some time. My ban ends in 2 days.
Strange is, that I couldn't play gran turismo at all. Only "the coloseum" was free to enter.

I can only manage a 1.45, but it did put me P5 on the grid (P1 had a 1.40.xx!). Needless to say he won by miles, with a fastest lap 5 seconds faster than mine 🫤, but I managed a P3 🙂.

The winner was the only person without an SR down at the end of the race......

Like you @brockie, I had an ominous feeling when I realised I was the only C/S driver on a grid of B/B and B/C.

Think I'll stick with Brands this week.

I reckon the G70 was meta on the Indy layout.
On the full circuit the Megane was always a good choice because of how you can "slide" through turns 5 to 9 with almost no brakes.

The 4C was another good car here but with the latest BOP updates they killed it.
Dont let yourself be influenced by the comments that @TechnoIsLove has spilled in this forum about this wonderful car (a potato car or something like that?)

The only thing with the Megane for me is that in VR there is no shift lights or rev counter so you are relying on looking at the number of revs which isn't ideal sometimes.

Also I agree you can't trust @TechnoIsLove as far as you can throw him tbf

True about the rev counter.
I shift based on the engine sound wich can be a problem when you are surrounded with others Meganes.

Well the very short pitstop on Race C caught me out Last week's pitstop at Laguna took long enough to make a cup of tea.

This week, I dived in to the pits then reached down for my drink, and looked up to see I was bumbling across the road and in to the gravel - and got a 3 second penalty to rub salt in the wound
