Well this is weird!!! Entered Race A twice, full throttle on the start line, no handbrake on and I go no where!!! Got booted out for not moving :confused: Went from Manual to auto but still stuck.
Tried the reverse gear and nothing.
:scared::scared::scared:
Will try again later 🤷‍♂️

Tried 3 Kyoto races without setting a time.
P15 => P14 (I was P8 but got tapped out of the downhill chicane on the last lap)
P15 => P9
P16 => P11

Fun way of racing. You can never catch the leaders in such a short race (besides I'm a full second off pace), but you are having some tight midfield battling.

Today played all the three races.

Race A - As someone out here rightly said so, there are most of the times those racers who just want to keep crashing. I only played this race once since morning.

Race B - Kyoto is good. The racers there are better but still encountered a few dirty drivers here & there. I may play this race once in a while.

Race C - Again a banger of a race (like the previous week's race). My first race with the 911 RSR (991) '17 I started on M. When I pitted on lap 7, I changed to M again no knowing H was compulsory. Because of the added grip on the M tyre, I was able to build enough of a lead that I pitted the second time on at the end of lap 12 to go for H. It was a very satisfying but unexpected win.

I just am playing Race C since afternoon. I love the concept of having to use another variant tyre which then makes it interesting strategy for everyone. Most start on M but a few do start on H is what I've seen. My last race, I won because three cars ahead of me all went wide or made a mistake on lap 1 which gave me the lead. I kept to myself and drove a few laps on M to get a 17 second lead before pitting for H. The racer who took the lead had to pit & did pit two laps before the end but on H which gave him little grip to catch me. He had rejoined 5 seconds behind me on lap 12.

I won't be touching Race A at all, Race B is ok for a change but Race C is my poison. I love Dragon Trail as a circuit as well & it's so much fun to drive the 911 '17 car.

Have you tried lifting and re-smashing the throttle? It's happened to me before and that does the trick. Otherwise it feels like you're launching a drag car on a clutch that's already burned down to the rivets.😁

:cheers:

Did a full reboot of PS5, controllers and the TM wheel. All is now good in the hood and just won my 1st Race A 🥳

Well, my week has come to a premature ending, I was tightening my wheel stand pro and the bolt snapped, I seem to go through a few of those 😁

Probably could do with a break anyhow (said the missus 😂)
Awww, that's too bad. I hope you can find the necessary parts for fixing your wheel and stand. You don't have the controller? Or do you just do better with the wheel? Have a good productive week, @brockie

I turned 34 last Tuesday.

Here's this weeks guide for those interested! Guarenteed racing to be had this week which is always nice and its nice to see bluemoon bay!

Very unique guide, I enjoyed watching the Kyoto part though. This can help a lot of lower-skilled players looking to improve their lap time. There are some very tricky corners there at the longer track. Take care and enjoy your Monday.

Might do some qualifying for Race A, if only because it seems like a very interesting car/track combination. Not too sure that I'll actually try racing, given what I've been reading about it so far, but then again, it's only Monday. At any rate, I think I'll buy a spare Elantra N, except this time it'll be bought in black instead of Performance Blue - since my younger brother has a black Elantra Hybrid - and then I'll check out what aero parts it can get without installing a widebody, plus I'll make a cute little livery for it to further stick out from the crowd.

When you lose your A DR 😔

I do find it funny why people put so much weight to DR as some sort of benchmark.

It will always ebb and flow, it’s just some races are way more competitive than others. It’s just a place you can get to with enough good racing and pace week on week. I’ve learned never to make it the target more the by product of Fun+Pace and results.

Otherwise you end up comparing DR when mostly the difference is pace at certain combo vs not having it work for you that week etc

Why oh why do some folks just cheat! After 7.9 laps side by side with another guy in Race A with us being 1 & 2 by a country mile, he side swipes me into the pits 😂. What a classic 🔔 end!

I don’t think it is a week for me, the Citroen is faster in B even with a clumsy lap, race A is being driven like a no SR one and well C is fine but not inspiring FOR ME so I don’t know what to do.

The VGT Citroen is not nice in VR yet I have a very solid time in it but the racing is “Monday” night so I might just skip this week, I probably won’t but will let it settle down and practice some more

Finally a nice little easy race which doesn't take a ton of practice (for me) to be somewhat competitive. I actually like race A. The final corner is quite tricky. And nailing the exit of T1 isn't trivial either.

The wall ride brake cheesing of all the top replays is bit disheartening but oh well. Could be worse.

I only did one race so far holding up well in an A+ to B lobby (being middling B myself). The racing standards were ok but maybe I was lucky. I profitted from some contact ahead though so it wasn't all clean.

After starting p8 this could have gotten me a podium behind the 2 A+ front runners but after touching the wall of the final turn in lap 7 it was only p5. Good enough for me.

I will be back for a few more in the next few days.

Best qualifying time for Race A is 0:59.359, which seems to have put me around the top 2k when I checked. Then I tried a round, and got a clean Q2/P6. Seems really odd that they’d have DR on, unlike most iterations of Race A…

Lacking a touch of pace around seaside, tried 7 cars and as expected the beetle came out on top for me and I managed a qt of 39.7, need to find about half a second. Tried a race early with a slower qt and started last, all A room, managed to sneak up to p9 on RH after 5 laps then got pole axed from behind by two guys fighting, very annoying to say the least.

3pc from p1 is a 39.4 so yeah seaside I should be around that mark. I did try thr magnificent sounding z4m, which has been rendered flaccid and withered after many a hateful bop update but in 3 laps had it down to a 39.8 and I could do better, may be worth the hassle just for the replays.

Loved seeing the video. Have always seen Your TT lap guides but this was more fun to see You racing & giving suggestions. Thanks as always @Tidgney because other than Your videos being insightful, Your commentary does add a charm to the whole experience.

P.S. - I tried Race A yesterday & as You experienced it too, it was cumbersome to drive neatly because all around there are users wanting to create mayhem. Thus hurting the SR. Race B is fun but Race C is like an addiction.

Think I’m getting the hang of the Elantra. :D

Top 100 time. I should probably try a race or two now. How is the quality of the racing?

Are you using the wall break at the final turn? Any tips for making it smoothly with maximum exit speed? I mightily struggle there and am stuck at a 58.8. Same for T1 If you could please
