You guys do know it’s exactly the same with a wheel and VR blind turn in is blind turn in. The best camera is probably Chase cam for visability.

The main thing I find is carrying the brakes too long and you end up compromising turn in, because not all of the corners are trail brake corners due to the angles.

It’s a weird race because it’s really counter intuitive to what is fast and what is slow. Patient throttle is was better than trying to over push it.
No, it's not. With the wheel, there is more connection between your input and what's happening with the car (even if it isn't 1:1). On the controller, the same input can become a myriad of steering angles depending on your speed.

Its a difference between understeer and LESS steer, which obviously isn't the same. With the controller, the faster you go, the slower and more limited the steering becomes. So, at fast tracks like this, you have to play this silly guessing game of am I going slow enough to get the input I need to make this corner.

I hate it because it's something the game is deciding for me. I'm no longer judging the physics of the simulation. I have to judge some intermediary in the controller. That's why I want the controller sensitivity fixed or, at least, increased so there is more direct input. It's not impossible to go faster, but I don't enjoy trying, because I don't feel like I am driving anymore. I'm timing when to give the stick full left or full right input.

I think all of the controllers have their issues to be honest.

Had a few fun races last night with @afc5150 and @Mc_Yavel at Suzuka. I may have nudged @afc5150 in one race, if i did I apologise, the guy in the blue car was swerving all over the road and I was trying to guess where he was going to be and I may have side swiped you a little by mistake.

Had a belter of a race with @Mc_Yavel , I lost focus and handed him the lead, then he lost focus and nearly handed me the lead, crossed the line 1/10th of a second behind him, fun times. It's a great little combo at Suzuka with the Abarth if you find people who race fairly, which is tough as most just verstappen you up the inside through the esses which is annoying.

I'd like to see Race A continue with this theme, maybe some of the older race cars like the 50's Maserati race car and the 50's Ferrari Mondial for e.g. Smaller, lighter more mechanical cars for a fun race A.

Didn't touch the wheel yet this week, but I totally agree with you on the car choices for race A. I'd like to drive once an E type Jag, an Alfa Giulia, a Merak, a Pantera, a Toyota 2000 gt, and everything from the 60's to the 80's. Still PD Daylies department doesn't seem to have lot of fantasy when it's time to pick an iconic cars.

Sure, but again, there's an option to adjust the sensitivity. It hasn't worked in years. 1 is exactly the same as 10. IMHO, it's an intentional oversight to help the partners that sell wheels, because it should be a no brainer, low risk/high reward fix.
It is not true that there is no difference between sensitivity 1 and 10. Not even close. Check this in cockpit cam. With 10 the "driver" turns the wheel much faster.

It is still too slow in some instances especially fast paced changes of direction, I agree with that. The controller settings could be enhanced like in other sims.

I don't buy the conspiracy theory, I think they build in a ton of understeer figuring the controller players are mostly casual and will find it too hard if it was too sensitive. Not saying I agree, but suspect that's the rationale.

I had a nice race at Suzuka at lunch which was better than my effort yesterday when I actually got disconnected from a race fo the first time ever.

My race today had 3 brits at the front three, the third one said to the second, you’re getting poleaxed 🙄

😂

Luckily he jumped the start and me and the other guy were off 😁

I’m getting some RA going this weekend, I’m actually quite happy there is too races to do this week, makes a nice change

Have a good one when you get there

Been messing with the sensitivity slider for years and never noticed a difference regardless of setting. Tbh, was more convinced it was emotionally centered...when it was set on '10' everyone around me seemed SUPER irritable.😁

While I've zero empirical data to back it up, it SEEMS like the visuals of hastened steering inputs (cockpit view) do not match what's actually happening. I mean, when you can see the left and right front wheels at COMPLETELY different turning angles during replays you know something can't be right.🤣

Had a decent midday race session on Daily Race B at Atlanta, its a good combo, but the DR doesnt improve so strongly depsite the 1000+ increase of reward money. But hey im not complaning or am I??? Over 3 races I managed a good podium coming 2nd place. Others 2 races were wreckfests!!! Lets get ready to rumbe for the Manus cup!!
