Race C was OK last night, though I did try a few cars and nothing comes even close to the Citroen so it's a bit of a Citroen cup I am afraid. I was mid pack and going to finish 7th or 8th in a DR-A room but smacked the pit entry wall like the muppet I am and finished near last dammit. People were pretty sensible though.
With DR off it's going to be intermittent back of the grid challenges at Tokyo for me this week.
I'm on a lean GT7 diet until the update drops. I've got some games I need to catch up on.
To be fair, I've raced 3 more times since this post and the racing has been stellar.I'm in a similar place, managed a few races yesterday after a break of six weeks, first thing I did was crash into the wall at the first corner.
This was the case in Race C in Watkins Glen (Gr.4) recently where You had to enter the pits but could skip changing tyres & adding fuel. What's the point of changing from RM to RM. This time the Race C format is focused on who can save tyres the longest. Which is why most are opting for GT by Citroen car.
I love the Gr. 4 cars but today I kept playing Race B (Gr. 3) because it's real fun driving through Deep Forest. Race A I skipped because the speed feels surreal enough to race within the walls at Tokyo.
It's faster to change tyres surely? You lose about 3 to 4 seconds and you make that up in 2 laps.I am racing the Cayman (don’t ask!) and my tires were gone by lap 11. Can the Citroen’s last 11 laps?
Enjoy DF. It is a fun track, though the twisties early in the lap are usually carnage!
I also regularly see Digit Racing's streama for GT7. He chose the GT by Citroen car & focused on tyre preservation. He pitted on lap 10 due to the mandatory rule.I am racing the Cayman (don’t ask!) and my tires were gone by lap 11. Can the Citroen’s last 11 laps?

I have fell down to DR B occasionally but most of my races are made in A or A+ . I fell down to A after a few races with a guy that got mad at me and was playing to crash me all day and it's a bit of a struggle to reach back A+ to be frank.Thats proper solid mate, welcome 😁
Are you winning 1 in 3 at DR A? Or have you just reached A?
Anyway, that’s some dedication right there, I’m 4000 races in, there are some here with 6k, I even saw someone in a race recently have 10.5k 😳
The 4C is quite stable especially through slow & medium speed corners. When You'll need to make the best out of this car is on the back & main straights. I always am tempted to try the Jaguar F-Type as it has good top speed but I don't find it stable due to being a FR car. Some FR cars are stable i.e. the front end is heavy & planted enough to make the turns more planted such as both of the Mercedes Gr.3 cars. But overall they feel heavy.Think I might try the 4C around deep forest, see if that’s a fun drive, I can’t get that viper hooked up around there, although I managed to get into the 27s, just, and started 2nd to last 🤣
Also what’s it with people who serve a penalty and the jump right in front of you to take the hairpin - seriously, what did you think would happen?!
Try the RCZ - I managed two P3s and then a win with it today, admittedly at C DR level, but this win took me back up to DR B.Think I might try the 4C around deep forest, see if that’s a fun drive, I can’t get that viper hooked up around there, although I managed to get into the 27s, just, and started 2nd to last 🤣

To be fair to the old snake it’s only really meta/that good at DF and Daytona not like how the Supra used to op everywhere!I used to be good at DF but tried a couple yesterday and was horrendously off the pace even in DR C
Can't get the hang of the Viper so hoping for a big BoP change with the next update. Nerf it please PD.
I was having problems yesterday whilst at DR B, low starting positions meant I kept getting punted, and ended up finishing last in every race (hence the drop to DR C).I used to be good at DF but tried a couple yesterday and was horrendously off the pace even in DR C

If you want mate I can post some non alien type tips that I’m following, the viper race is very very fun but you have to go in to it not thinking “it’s all the same car” but “wow I didn’t know there was enough vipers left to race on the planet” one make racing isn’t bad when it’s fair and it becomes about it always should be driver, awareness, skill and control dialled in with a bit of you can’t always hope for excellent results but bread and butter up and to the right is the keyI’m not too fussed to let this week go because I don’t like this layout of DF, it’s much better the other way around, but I think I’d like some racing so I’ll try some different cars, when I was in the Porsche starting mid/back the vipers just plough through you,
Has anyone actually done much race A this week, I do love any variation of Tokyo but these cars… nahhh
@bone_tone good going and I’ll try that one @Uday9479 thanks also for the suggestions! Maybe the 4C will be the smooth ride I’m looking for because I’m holding on for dear life in that viper, not fun.
But the viper was great fun at Sardegna, I guess you have more time to ride the gearing out and there isn’t as many turns in a short space 😁
Almost weekend guys 🙌
