So very predictable.

More than a week away from Daily Races, and literally the first braking zone of the corner of my first race back I get speared from behind at full pelt. I spin 720, hit a wall and get 1.5 seconds of penalties for my trouble. There's 8 minutes of my free time I won't get back.

I love this game, but I hope the mooted 'improvements to Sport Mode' will do something to tackle this problem.

At least the game recognised something wasn't cricket... I maintained full SR and got a clean race bonus. Bizarre, but accurate, I guess.

Race C was OK last night, though I did try a few cars and nothing comes even close to the Citroen so it's a bit of a Citroen cup I am afraid. I was mid pack and going to finish 7th or 8th in a DR-A room but smacked the pit entry wall like the muppet I am and finished near last dammit. People were pretty sensible though.

And it’s a friggin ugly car, I just won’t race it - EVER

It’s been a long time since I’ve been sickly positive and honestly B & C are good in the actual racing sense, like actual racing where there isn’t a move every corner and staying out of the slip stream rather than following the bumper 6 inches is a good thing in both races.

A is probably fun but I liked last GTWS version of it over this one.

I don’t mind either race actually being mostly meta races because they are actually racing not sweaty must win fests

What a weird night in Race C. Had ZERO luck, i'd get borked by guys battling and as I let off the gas i'd lose momentum and get mugged. Folks serving penalties RELENTLESSY seemed to un-ghost and hit the apex of the hairpin RIGHT when I should be so borked again and three times had blokes spin RIGHT in front of me resulting in either contact or... yep ... being borked! Was so frustrating.

Then i had this imbecile lose his mind because I rear ended him hard. I was on his rear end for nearly 3 laps, if I was going to intentionally punt him i had plenty of chances. He has this awful habit of changing lines int he braking zones, twice I avoided carnage but the third time he moved so late there was no way to avoid him. He was on the inside, I went outside, he then went outside so i went inside, this is early on the main straight. He then swings violently to the inside right in front of me well, well after we hit the brakes. Like buddy, pick a damn line and defend.

Even though I love all variations of Tokyo, won't be touching Race A for a million reasons.

If Race C is a Citroen cup, then Race B is the Viper Cup. I'm playing around 500kms every day in these 2 race categories. After seeing SammySnake's racing stream on Youtube for these races, I got confidence to try the Viper myself which I was avoiding before then. I'm more confident with MR cars than FR cars. But the Viper being the meta car here, I slowly but surely got the hang of this car which makes me real happy. My fastest qualy time is 1:27:580 in the Viper. Deep Forest is so much fun. The first lap is mainly mayhem but after that it's nice & clean.

Race C is only playable with Gt by Citroen car. Initially, I tried the Mazda3 but because it's a FF car, the fronts get chewed in 5 laps. I play a few races here as I've only encountered clean races. Just wish another tyre compound was available or dynamic weather like the one we had at Le Mans 2 months ago. Race C offers more sane but overall it lacks thrill. Race B is where the thrill is but at time it can become chaotic as users want to clash with each other even for 12th position. I just don't understand the ego driving some users race with instead of their skills.

This was the case in Race C in Watkins Glen (Gr.4) recently where You had to enter the pits but could skip changing tyres & adding fuel. What's the point of changing from RM to RM. This time the Race C format is focused on who can save tyres the longest. Which is why most are opting for GT by Citroen car.

I love the Gr. 4 cars but today I kept playing Race B (Gr. 3) because it's real fun driving through Deep Forest. Race A I skipped because the speed feels surreal enough to race within the walls at Tokyo.

I am racing the Cayman (don’t ask!) and my tires were gone by lap 11. Can the Citroen’s last 11 laps?

Enjoy DF. It is a fun track, though the twisties early in the lap are usually carnage!

It's faster to change tyres surely? You lose about 3 to 4 seconds and you make that up in 2 laps.

Hello! New here so sorry if I post in the wrong section!

Controller grinder here: 40% poles (492), 36% wins (437) over 1209 daily races. Avg qualy rank 2.68, 85% top 5. DR A (35k).
I have been told it was solid stats and to post it here. Thoughts?

I also regularly see Digit Racing's streama for GT7. He chose the GT by Citroen car & focused on tyre preservation. He pitted on lap 10 due to the mandatory rule.

You did well to keep tyres good as long as You did. The A+ players can surely make the tyres last so much including Digit that even when pitting, they skip adding the new tyres.

Thats proper solid mate, welcome 😁

Are you winning 1 in 3 at DR A? Or have you just reached A?

Anyway, that’s some dedication right there, I’m 4000 races in, there are some here with 6k, I even saw someone in a race recently have 10.5k 😳

I have fell down to DR B occasionally but most of my races are made in A or A+ . I fell down to A after a few races with a guy that got mad at me and was playing to crash me all day and it's a bit of a struggle to reach back A+ to be frank.

For Race C as most users are preferring the Viper, I race with it as well. When it comes to hp, this car leads the way. This makes the car very handy in the start & end of the lap due to the back & main straights. Still I find the car a little bit of a handful in portions of the track like tight right hander before the end f the first sector & the downward spiraling left hander before the back straight.

I found the 911 & 4c having much more grip in the 2nd sector. But they lack raw speed. So it's like a trade-off...You want to be quick on the straights or in the twisty bits in the middle of the lap.

The Viper is good but don't enjoy it as the car feels stiff.

Think I might try the 4C around deep forest, see if that’s a fun drive, I can’t get that viper hooked up around there, although I managed to get into the 27s, just, and started 2nd to last 🤣

Also what’s it with people who serve a penalty and the jump right in front of you to take the hairpin - seriously, what did you think would happen?!

The 4C is quite stable especially through slow & medium speed corners. When You'll need to make the best out of this car is on the back & main straights. I always am tempted to try the Jaguar F-Type as it has good top speed but I don't find it stable due to being a FR car. Some FR cars are stable i.e. the front end is heavy & planted enough to make the turns more planted such as both of the Mercedes Gr.3 cars. But overall they feel heavy.

Hoping the 4C serves Your driving style right. Also try the 991 '17 cars which is one of my favorite cars in the game. If You want a car great through turns then try the BRZ as well.

Try the RCZ - I managed two P3s and then a win with it today, admittedly at C DR level, but this win took me back up to DR B.

I used to be good at DF but tried a couple yesterday and was horrendously off the pace even in DR C

Can't get the hang of the Viper so hoping for a big BoP change with the next update. Nerf it please PD.

To be fair to the old snake it’s only really meta/that good at DF and Daytona not like how the Supra used to op everywhere!

I was having problems yesterday whilst at DR B, low starting positions meant I kept getting punted, and ended up finishing last in every race (hence the drop to DR C).

The 3 races I had at DR C all had me starting P3, and I was then racing in a group of three who wanted to race properly.

Back to DR B for my last race today - started P12, got pushed and shoved all over the place again 😏

I've tried to improve my QT, but I'm stuck where I am (set with the RCZ - can't get on with the Viper at all).

I’m not too fussed to let this week go because I don’t like this layout of DF, it’s much better the other way around, but I think I’d like some racing so I’ll try some different cars, when I was in the Porsche starting mid/back the vipers just plough through you,

Has anyone actually done much race A this week, I do love any variation of Tokyo but these cars… nahhh

@bone_tone good going and I’ll try that one @Uday9479 thanks also for the suggestions! Maybe the 4C will be the smooth ride I’m looking for because I’m holding on for dear life in that viper, not fun.

But the viper was great fun at Sardegna, I guess you have more time to ride the gearing out and there isn’t as many turns in a short space 😁

Almost weekend guys 🙌

If you want mate I can post some non alien type tips that I’m following, the viper race is very very fun but you have to go in to it not thinking “it’s all the same car” but “wow I didn’t know there was enough vipers left to race on the planet” one make racing isn’t bad when it’s fair and it becomes about it always should be driver, awareness, skill and control dialled in with a bit of you can’t always hope for excellent results but bread and butter up and to the right is the key

Please do mate, I’m short shifting from 2/3 out of most corners, 1/2 on the hairpin - generally short shifting the car through all gears because that’s how it handled at Sardegna and I watched a couple of replays of the top 10

But beware, I just don’t dig this track much 😁

I’m proud of myself for not getting too caught up in the BS, so I’m still at mid B and full S, well until this berk came out of his pen right into my path earlier and he needed row Z’ing

Sorry if this has been posted already, but what’s the delta between changing and not changing tires in C? A second or two I assume?

I’ve been changing them on the Cayman and pretty sure it’s been the difference between a podium and 4th (can’t save replays for some reason so can’t see what the other drivers are doing).
