Have been playing Race B as seeing Yas Marina & CGV in daily races is a dream come true for me.

However, Race A doesn't seem appropriate because the track is narrow coupled with F1 cars that have got insane speed & grip. I just ran 1 lap & it was disappointing because F1 cars around a narrow track don't excite me.

Race B is mainly about using GT by Citroen or G70. I tried a few cars at first like Audi TT Cup, Mazda3, 4C etc. They're ok but using FF cars here is not at all a good option. I ran a few qualy laps with GT car & managed a time of 2:06:1xx which just puts me a bit out of top 1000 rankings at 1045th rank. I still have to see the lap guides for nailing the braking points so hope to cut off a second just because I know Abu Dhabi track very well due to playing F1 games.

Race C I've to still play. At first I thought won't race there much but after realizing Race B will end up getting boring because of GT domination, rather play Race C just because of pit strategy options.

Did two attempts on Daily Race A and got my first two wins on the track.

Race 1 (pole position): Started clean and even got a nice battle against a Honda until he braked too late on the last corner and thankfully I didn't get sent to Narnia for that plus the player got a two second time penalty for that incident. Went on to win my first race.

The incident:

Race 2 (P2 start): It was a fun session and I benefitted from one of the drivers getting a .5 second time penalty for me to win the race.

Overall a nice day around CGV but I think I'm going to do a few more sessions throughout the week but spreaded out as I need more practice around the two new tracks via either time trials or lobbies.

This weekend was free Playstation online and I did around 1250 miles of racing which made for a lot of content. I'll probably split it up over a few months so it doesn't get repetitive but for now here's my best and worst extremes of the new race c at Fuji.
Also as a side note I couldn't conserve tires well on the Viper using a controller but it might be the best car for qualifying and maybe getting away early in the race with great straight line speed.

Car choices this week are legitimately embarrassing and just prove to me that whoever is running the Dailies is hilariously out of touch.

In the week that we get fourteen new cars, the majority of which can be very viable for one-make or spec racing, as well as dozens of potential combos from the Power Pack, PD instead decides, in their infinite wisdom, to put 250hp Gr.4s at Yas Marina?! The track built for F1-level speeds?!

No Espace race, nothing with the F3500s, nothing even resembling the Power Pack events with their custom grids and liveries. It just screams minimal effort from literally everybody involved in an attempt to maximise "engagement".

I guess some of the reasoning for the vehicle/track choices is the GTWS mirror/celebration events (Gr3 at Yas, F3500-B at CGV). They probably think there's no point having duplicate events.

Looks like next week is set as well.

Wow that’s something to look forward to,

Gr3 Sardegna A!!!!

There was a time around last year's Super Formula season finale caused a duplicate event fest.
Looks like next week is set as well.

It also tells a similar issue is also facing live event races, especially with Nations grand finales almost exclusively using the aging X2019. (What should replace it is a different question.)

It's on purpose. So people can learn new track in slow motion... 🤓
Not entirely wrong. I just experienced a C Lobby where people try to get a hold of that circuit and it works pretty great. But it's also a good circuit for rammers, i guess.

Yas Marina Gr.4, lol 🥀🥀🥀
There must be someone trolling us at PD

Just did a race B on my lunch, I guess some track evolution will come but the racing wasn’t too bad, gr4 didnt seem too out of place, it’s a Citroen fest but the g70 keeps up with it.

Started 12th finished 9th, here’s hoping it comes alive around Thursday 😁

The G70's main strength is 4WD drivetrain which helps but the GT car is perfect for this daily race. I'm not an ardent fan of this car by any means but after trialing a few cars, the GT seems all rounded to make your lap competitive & consistent.

Just wish they would arrange the BoP in such a way that the GT by Citroen can't be selected. Every Gr.4 race this car takes centerstage. If not this car, then the G70.

I’m not sure how I’m going to stay in race B all week, seems the time is in severe track limits abuse 🤨
Errr yeah, I didn’t enjoy my race, not because I’m starting P9 with literally my bar in the tiniest bit of A after last week. But Gr4 at this circuit doesn’t feel right long straights and no DRS doesn’t make sense in these cars.

The one thing I will say about track limits, it’s just drive till you find where the penalties are, curbs and white lines are guides in this game not rules.

Race C says number of pit stops as none in the event details? Thats a mistake right?
No, you have to use both compounds, if you don’t you are penalised. It’s not a mistake it’s just saying “you have to use both compounds, if you can do this without pitting the god speed racer” otherwise without pitting how can you use both compounds???

Yeah i understand you have to pit to change compounds but where it says number of pit stops, should that not say one instead of none?

Iv'e seen so many racers with a 1min penalty die to not pitting.

Daily Race A is bonkers, I tried it and it went prety badly and came in 12th, we shudda has the Panda as rally cars at Lake louise on Snow instead lol. They both canada parts.

Hello 😁 Finally back home and just in time for the new tracks and all 🥳 Did my first session after a month away (qualy laps around Yas Marina) and I definitely need time to get back into form, but reasonably pleased with the outcome after around 35 minutes of driving several different cars.

Hope everyone is fine and looking forward for the banter and fun to restart ☺️

It doesn’t say it because it’s not a requirement, to stop but the required use is 2 compounds.

Without pitting how do you think you can accomplish that requirement.

It’s been like that for a long time, required tires is the thing you look for not pit stops.

In wet races it will say no pit stops required but you’ll have to pit for one tire or the other.

I’m not seeing the issue here?

No.

Often if there's a "Required Tyre Type Change" there is no "Mandatory Pit Stop", because it's implicit that you'll need to stop to change tyres.

In races with a "Mandatory Pit Stop" you don't need to change tyres (or add fuel), you just need to head down the pit lane.

The practical effect on players is the same - you need to pit - but in one event type you must change tyres and in the other you don't have to.
