I’m famous in a Sammy Snake video 😂😂

He asked for some bad driving videos and I sent him one where I got bullied for 8 laps of CGV last time we were there (maybe this is why I didn’t fancy it this time, too much PTSD). Funny video though.

I admire your dedication to the rest of the GT7 community in the way you keep putting yourself in the firing line, so that he kept getting penalties 😂

I hope he got a nice big SR drop!

I can’t find the cars used for Dailies on dg-edge.com, so:

Race A: X-Bow R @ 10 laps of Tsukuba Circuit, SM tyres
Race B: Whole Gr. 3 field @ 6 laps of Trial Mountain, RH tyres
Race C: Whole Gr. 2 field @ 13 laps of Catalunya, GP Layout, RM + RS tyres on 4x wear

Source: I’m not bothered enough to screencap them and export to my phone, so Trust Me Bro :D

Crikey he must have said your name like 100 times in that video 😂

That ending dive though man, crikey I don’t know how you didn’t ram him back at some point, you’re a patient man!

haha - I think I was just in a daze of confusion as I just couldn't work out why he hated me so much!! Assume he had just had a bad holiday to Dubai and my flag triggered his inner rage!!!!

haha like being at home and hearing daddy, DAddy, DADDy, DADDY, DAAAADDDYYYYYY!!!!!

it was a wild move for sure wasn't it!!!

I remember this race as I had struggled for time but finally got a top 6 quali time and this was my first race with it

I've just looked him up on DG and he's a D C rank now so not sure any of us will be running into him

Gr2 at Catalunya? That is a new combo, yea?! I was just thinking yesterday (while doing the Gr2 at Fuji TT (a combo we've seen like a dozen times)) how cool it would be if PD used different types of cars at different tracks.

Seeing how we only ever see Gr2 at Fuji, Suzuka, Spa, and the very rare LeMans/Sardegna (I may be forgetting one or two but you get my point) it's cool to see they're using a subset of cars at a 'new' track.

Gr.2 at Catalunya is refreshing! I just got back from holidays so I'll have to see if I can find my pace before racing later in the week.

B is Gr.3, A is with the KTM X-BOW.
Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I love all three of them! It's basically what I asked for late last week, i said Grp2 would make a ce change for C and the XBow would be cool, uncanny!

I really have almost no choice and have to use the Xbow no? I am always bitching abut the lack of use lowered powered, grippy cool cars get .... well I have one now so I suppose I need to put up or shut up.

Thanks for taking the time to do that!

Anyone have an idea what the strat will be at Barca?

Saw this video yesterday! You have some patience I have to say. I would've put him in the wall somewhere. Not that it mattered. Strange that after a while he got enough of it and quit.

Group 2 at Catalunya! I'm going to have a go at that. Would be also the first time for me I race the GP layout online. Those sausage curbs don't look subtle.

TM is all 911s which is not great for me but time I got hold of this car!

Started p4 and finished p6 with a double blue increase so that’s all that matters.

Front 4 of us had a cracking 5 laps until I ran into the back of someone going over the crest on t1,

Nice race length too 6 laps

Xbow is sooooo much fun in VR 🤪🤣🤠

But.... it's a road car 🤔
You are at best technically correct but there's no universe where the KTM X-Bow was intended to be a road car. It was always built as a Track Car that you could drive to the track. Put the Track Car on slicks.
Likewise the Ariel Atom and Polaris Slingshot are not road cars. They're road legal but that's far from being a road car

Here's a good definition of a legitimate road car: can you put a weeks worth of groceries in it?

If you're not taking a significant other to the supermarket, sure. The Atom and X-Bow both have passenger seats, plus there's a covered helmet storage space in both. Might be better not to put cold items into that for the X-Bow though, but they'd be fine in the Atom.

Oddly, I've been in both on the public road.

My point was more to do with GT7's discretionary application of rubber compounds.

You asked for a stickier tyre. The race has Sports Mediums (imo perfectly sticky enough for a <300 BHP road legal car, but my opinion doesn't matter right now), one compound up from the car's default by the game. Which means you're either asking for Racing tyres or Sports Softs.

Do you know which other cars are deemed powerful and wily enough to require Sports Softs? There aren't many.

I'm not criticising your opinion that the car should be easier to control, but have you thought about the ramifications to the race ecosystem if it were? Tsukuba is already a track which punishes mistakes, but equally those mistakes are necessary for overtakes to happen.

With what you're proposing, it makes me feel like every race would be a procession, leaving only the most desperate and uncouth drivers to attempt forced dive passes, safe in the knowledge that over-driving the car has little consequences (not to mention that the penalty system would likely overlook their transgressions).

Even now, it feels like Sports Mediums are a little too forgiving, but again my opinion is of little consequence in this conversation.

put the xbow on stickier tires and it's a blast. put it on sports anything and it's just a go-kart on ice :( could have been baller

You're not wrong but that's a function of the track not the car. Tsukuba is a garbage circuit for racing (unless you're bikes). Great for time trials though!
I do think a grippier tire would produce better racing.

I said what i said NAX ;-)

Race A has been fun but is all but decided by the qualifying. With limited power and traction from the SM, passing opportunities are scarce. Still finished with Q4=>P3 and Q8=>P6.

Getting my gumption up and with the helpful tips from our pal @Tidgney, I took my chances in the 992. Started Q8 and had a couple of sharp passes in the opening lap rising to P5. I had to fight off challengers though for the first half of the race. We even went three wide going into the sweeper at the end of the straight.

I would have been happy with P5. Fortunately, P4 had a boo boo overcooking his brakes going into turn 12. P3 had a massive oversteering event on the next turn and that let me settle for P3 on the last lap.

Miraculously, I have recovered the 2k points I lost in the last few weeks to get back to DR B.

I haven’t been on GT much this summer and it’s been forever since I looked at daily races but the X-Bow and short track has me interested.

Though rusty I managed to get a few laps in and got a reasonable time but no time for racing. Perhaps I’ll manage some tomorrow.

The X-Bow is a lovely little thing. To get a quick time you have to avoid wheel spin. You’ll be using mostly 3rd and 4th gear getting up to 5th on the main straight. Do not go into 2nd.

Best settings for my 221st global time were

TCS 0
Abs weak
ASM on
CSA strong.
