This looks "fun." At least @Jordan 's article cover makes it look "fun", anyway...

I hate to admit it, but I love this kind of thing and I can't believe PD were cruel enough to tempt me to do this race. See ya at kingdom come in an Aventador
I was going to come here and say "That's an amazing shot @BillyCherokee, I've never seen, nor been able to take a crash photo in GT that looks dynamic and not just funny" but then I noticed that's their GT7 account name and they may not be on this forum at all.

Moved on to fuji, as fun as grand Valley is. I have been rubbish, one top ten finish in 5 races
Even though I avoid Races A & B, Race C's 4x tyre wear makes it tricky. Anyway, as per TyrannoCyrusRex (vid below), the Suzuki Swift Gr.4 car is the best antimeta with good tyre life as well. Check it out. I'll be trying this car tomorrow myself.

Think its more to do with my lack of experience on the track, never really took to it, but it's quite fast and fun

GV Backwards is fun IF track limits didn't exist but they do and they're some of the worst in the game. I'm getting violations going through the right hand upward tunnel bend coming off of the bridge. It should be physically impossible to violate track limits there without being in the wall but PD managed to fork that up. There are other areas that are too harshly coded as well. Point being after 4 straight races of finishing bottom 3 from track limits I've decided it's a DLC/GTA 5 week :D

Managed to score the biggest penalty I've had in a race, ten seconds on A. Make matters worse I was in 1st and would have had a win. Also I had nothing to do with the penalty.. Again 😂

Try lift off from the accelerator when you are at the stretch after the tunnel , just so you are not accelerating when "off limits" it works on some areas (red bull ring) ,can't promise anything though.

(three minutes 'cos I fast-forwarded the least interesting bits)

I think every win in my stats is from SSRX meme races

To back your meme status and race wins, warp speed MR SULU!!! whas yur replay lol!!

I too also got lucky today at SSXR and managed a decent run in the RX7 and got 2nd place woooohooo, a podium at best!

If anyone wants cars for race A, both RX7s, the Mercedes, and for a nice change, the Lambo is competitive as well. The Ferrari on the other hand loses its back end by itself on the first banking.
Funny considering last time they did this the Mercedes dominated and the Chiron was the only thing close. From memory the RX-7 had a good launch but lost out on top speed and the Lambo wasn't competitive at all. Interested to know what they did with the locked setups this time compared to then

Every time they've done this (and this is at least #4; one was a GTWS round), both Mazdas (well, one and one RE Amemiya) have been solid choices for their final turn nitrous deployment.

What's changed here is the Huayra is now the qualifying META, instead of the Mercedes.

That's pretty good for Pagani considering their general lack of racing vehicles in the game at the moment.

As @Charmanta suggested & I've tested it too many a times, lift off when going over track limits because then the game/penalty system understands You've not gained an advantage. Lift off or just miildly brake to cut down a speed a little & You're fine. Better than getting a penalty which affects more.

Even I'm not digging the dailies this week. I after long went to the lobbies & in Gr.3 race (I opted for AMG GT3), raced 20 laps around Deep Forest with RM/RS pit strategy enabled. It was a blast. I'll be doing this the rest of the week too.

BTW, if You still want to try Race C, as per the antimeta vid I shared some posts above, try the Suzuki Swift Gr.4 car. TyrannoCyrusRex in the vid explains it well why it holds its own in the race & is competitive.

You hit the nail on the head Mate. It works when lifting off.

I havent seen the whole line up yet, but last time the race was on. I chose the yellow viper, which did well would have been third, but ran out of gas. + nobody stopped and helped.

Interesting one this. The Mercedes spent the entire race knocking people off the track. Nearly every car you see sideways is from that one player. I very nearly uploaded said players lap and stopped myself in the end. Was very lucky to keep within the slipstream and ended up taking the win due to an 11 second penalty for the offender.

New Dailies are out.

A - Daytona Road Course - SH
B - Lago Maggiore - Reverse - RM
C - Yas Marina - RM/RS

Hopefully Yas is set at night as the last race B was during the day and it's just a bit drab
I've not even raced this week's yet! 🤣

I did do a couple of laps of Fuji in the 458 yesterday, but not much time for racing.

Bought a house, doing that up, one colleague off sick for months after surgery, my back-to-back is on leave, so I'm working double shifts for a month.

All 3 tracks are fun in their own right. Abu Dhabi seems will be Gr.3 which should make it real fun with pit strategy at play. When playing F1 games, I've always enjoyed CGV & Yas Marina as tracks but in GT7, Yas Marina ticks most of the boxes due having more character under the night lights.

LM reverse (I prefer the track in reverse) seems like a Gr.4 race with 5-7 laps.

Good to see you're having fun.

Thanks Mate. Now I just play dailies. But during weeks such as this where nothing is too exciting, I end up lobby racing.

Plus, am close to switching to a wheel as I feel I can be much better & faster (as many players here) with a wheel. As it's my first wheel, my 2 options are G29 or T128 as don't want to spend too heavy. I also need to invest in a table as I play on a wall mounted TV.
