Even though racing during the day at Abu Dhabi is a depressing sight, am digging the racing out here. Raced with a few non meta cars like AMG GT3, RCZ & Mazda RX-Vision, my lowest finish has been 6th & till now in the 5 or 6 races, haven't had a DR fall.

I put a qualy time in the R8 a few hours back. Am sure my ranking will fall but after seeing @Tidgney 's customary Monday release of raceplay + lap guides for new dailies, hoping to lower my time. My Optimum was a 1:53:7xx though.

Try without "TT" (unlikely, as it's a common letter pairing) and go with "LTC" instead, or "DC" and/or "Cobra". It might not like "bra".


In any case GT gets the name of the car wrong: it's just "Shelby Daytona".

Thanks, still can’t manage to get it done. I’ve shared tons in the exact same format in the past though, never had this issue. Always starting the title with TT as well as having tt as a hashtag.

Now tried switching from TT to LTC, still no luck. Done all kinds of Shelby Daytona variants...

  • Some more I can’t even recall at this point, it’s getting absolutely insane. These filters are so pathetically bad...

I’m beginning to think it’s sensing something wrong with the message: 1’51.462 (0,55% • P47)

Is there a hidden offensive meaning somewhere I don’t understand? Getting pretty goddamn annoying at this point, to add insult to injury the godforsaken system doesn’t even flag to you what’s wrong. Shots in the dark everywhere. To hell with this.

It probably didn't like that ’ backtick.

In addition to the content filters, it's also likely running the input through a sanitization filter to prevent SQL injection attack. The sanitization filter likely doesn't return a separate error message on its own, so it's rejected with the default "unsuitable language" error, even though it doesn't accurately describe the reason.

I don't have any inside knowledge of how GT7 or PSN's filter works or how it is designed, but as a web developer myself, sanitizing user input is a very common (and absolutely essential) defensive programming technique. I'm sure Polyphony's engineers have it covered, else they're going to have a big problem.

 
Yas Marina is a great track but my goodness, they need to do something about the penalty system! Was literally following the (fastest) ghost cars to the millimeter and still i'd somehow end up with a penalty. Was closing in on a high 1:52 lap time and sure enough, penalty on the 2nd last corner, taking the EXACT same line as the ghost in front!!! ugh...... Rage quitted after that. I won't bother with trying another qualifying lap. The race itself is fun, at least everyone else racks up as many penalties so it's still fairly close and competitive.

Looking forward to possibly seeing you later. Had a DR improvement yesterday from 11K to just shy of 25K 😳. As you can imagine nothing else was achieved 😂🤠

wowzers that is quite the day!!! The swift was getting a full work out there!!!

I'll be on about 5pm UK time so you'll be mid A by tat time if this trend continues!
 
Well what an adventurous 2 days. Started Monday with 10,828 DR points (Low B) and finished today at 31,603 (Low A). Had some seat time racing with Stringerbell which was awesome 🙌🏻 and managed a final race from 13th & with my senior elbows out claimed 7th. Enough points to regain DR-A after being in the B’s for an age.

I have to admit, and I realize I am a bit late to the part, but last week's C was pretty good. I am not a Gr4 fan at all and typically avoid Gr4 races. However, I am a bog Grand Valley fan so I decided to give some C a go.

It was a good one for a handful of reasons:

-Many cars were viable. Sure, the Citreon was the META but not so much other cars couldn't compete. I set my best lap in the Genny, multiple tenths better than the Citroen. Even more so in the race. I did maybe four or five races and saw: Citroen, Genny, Ferrari, Porsche, GTR, Lambo, McLaren, Audi TT, Elantra, Swift, and probably a few more I am forgetting. You get my point. Don't know the last time I saw a Gr3 race (not just a race, but a week's worth) with near that many different manufacturers represented.

-There were multiple strats involved with the RMs and RSs required. I saw people do - RM and RS respectively - anything from 3/7 to 6/4. Personally, I liked the 4/6. But the fact some did a 4/6, some did a 5/5 and some did a 6/4 all in the same race meant things got interesting towards the end. And of course when you add in the top few were doing RS to RM, it all added up to some exciting races.

Only thing that would've made it better would've been a day-to-night transition or vice-versa. PD seem so adverse to doing anything at night... more so than using weather which is saying something. It's unfortunate because the tracks, sky... everything look stunning as the sun sets/rises.

Anyway, this race is in the dust so onward we go.

LM reverse definitely seems to be a good track for you!!!!

You did well to avoid the carnage on lap 1!, the yellow Citroen seemed pretty intent on trying to push you off for lap 2 though.

That double overtake at the start of lap 3 was delightful!!!

Gee... I wonder when I can reach A+. I've played over 5500 online races in the game since it came out and I've never made it to A+, not once in all these years...

Just to be clear this was a joke for Nev as he will be putting a ton of hours in next two weeks.

I also haven't reached A+, I have the pace for mid A and the race craft for mid C :lol:
 
I have not been racing much lately due to my wheel base issues (random disconnects). Just a few races in month. It is no fun when every 4th race is ruined by your equipment. Guess I would have been A split already without these issues. For month I am one pixel on the DR bar shy of the transition B to A.

Last race in Fuji for example was hillarious. I was 2nd with 2s ahead of 3rd and 2s behind 1st going into last round. This seemed to be a safe 2nd finish. Suddenly 1st goes on the gras just directly on the finish line, makes a 360° and comes back on the track. Guess he thought it was already last round. We go side by side through turn 1 and drive side by side to turn 2 and my base disconnects and I go straight in turn 2. Would have liked to know what the other players thoughts have been in that moment when he sees me going straight after nearly having thrown away his 100% safe win.

Why am I writing all this? Finally I got the permit for my warranty request. I hope to be back here in fall with a working wheel base, racing more often again.
 
I experienced several disconnection in the last 2 weeks. All randomly and either during matchmaking, at the start or whilst cruising in podiums positions; till the wheel went really crazy being stuck in firmware update. Wheel and base were not communicating anymore. I then discovered that the QR2 on the base side had "moved" towards me by ar 0.5 cm, so there were no connection between the wheel and the base. In 5 min I solved the issue, bringing the QR2 back in its original place and tightening it well (assuming better than it was initially).
No more disconnection since the "maintenance".
