Holy ****... YES... NO... i don't know, should i be happy or angry? 😂😂

A bit slow in sector one, a bit to safe through last 2 turns, but overall a great lap.
Probably the fastest run through the bus-stop i got so far and sector 3 was a personal best too. 😁

Great, glad it helped! Speaking of tips, thanks to @Vule and @Barareklam for the advice on T1 at Watkins Glen. Coasting and accelerating in 3rd indeed made me consistently faster in S1. Still a majority in the 31.5 to 31.6 range, but also the occasional 31.4. One of them led to this lap:

Already very happy with this and hoping it will stay in top 100, but I might still give it another shot tonight (there's some untapped potential in S2) before the shiny new thing steals my attention tomorrow ...

Happy lapping!

Edit: interesting statistical nugget - I am currently #58 in the world, but only #13 in Germany. @bigfluffy888 sits right behind me at #64 worldwide, but is the top US driver. What's up with that? :D

Amazing lap @crome ! I thought I had snuck in ahead of you but you managed to find more thousandths than I did over the past days.

I had no idea I was currently number #1 in the United States…. I’ll take it💪 although I don’t think I’ll end this TT in the top 100… there’s a lot of time left and I’m slipping about 4 positions a day on average.

I had a negative delta of about a tenth on a subsequent lap… running up the hill and right-handed (sector 3?) I had braked slightly too much… watching my delta slip away was sad…. But who am I kidding, just motivates me to go back and try again 😛not addicted… not addicted… not addicted 😂

Reading all the tips here is so motivational and compelled me to keep pushing laps and finding those little shreds of time. I’ll attach splits here with my personal best.

Well had another go with the Zonda, and did not even improved. Won't insist, I don't know how to drive this car. Watched @Tidgney's video but apart from braking points the rest does not apply, including exiting from most turns in 3rd, as I exit much slowly so I need 2nd to get back on throttle before putting 3rd. COD still a mystery.

Congrats on your P1 in the US!! You stole it from me lol.

I'm sitting at 71 at the moment. If this holds it will be my first top 100.

Congrats again, dude!!

Oh I'm so angry at myself for leaving the Zonda TT for the last night, I had two solid sessions 10 days ago, and haven't touched it since. And now I'm so dead tired, had a mega session (in terms of mileage), my shoulders and arms are killing me, and still I didn't manage to put it into 28s. And it had potential, but it just wasnt meant to be.

First sector in this lap was below average, I had many many .150, .160, even had one .129 which was faster than P2 ghost, but every single time I did such a first sector, the car just wouldn't listen to me in the esses of S2. So, lost a tenth here, lost who knows how many tenths in the death chicken - I just couldn't properly do a single run through there, don't know why, so twichy, bumpy, not able to position the car properly on the right and always a crappy angle, losing a bunch of time.

Nevertheless, I guess it's a solid lap timewise, but the bitter taste remains...

Gonna call this 1:30.471 I just got my realistic best with the Zonda (even though I know just under a 1:30.1 is my theoretical best).

One of my first laps tonight I had probably what was my best CoD ever on a solid lap...and then my wife decided to loudly talk to talk dog right before the final corner and I totally blew it. So I'm blaming her for that - I feel like that've been even faster. This one was pretty good though.

Oh well, plenty happy with where I got down to compared to where I was stuck for so long. I'm down to where my typical ranking average is (not that crazy 50th place at Tsukuba recently), which, for some reason, was really bothering me that I wasn't performing at my usual level.

During the final hours at dragon trail, I managed to pull off a 1:29.657.

It took me a long time (more than I'd like to admit) to achieve this. Overall, happy with this lap. I think I finally understood the esses a bit better.. however... The CoD.. still clueless on how to take it 🤣

The Zonda is a beast in VR, great feeling driving it.

The results for TT183 at Dragon Trail - Seaside in the Pagani Zonda R '09 are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards. A reminder that each driver's results for every TT are in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

Here are some interim statistics for TT184 at Watkins Glen Long Course in the Lexus LC500 '17.

Scratch that last time in the Grp C.

I had to go again against the Genesis and the Peugeot VGT was amazingly fast.
Watch my comparison of it vs the Genesis with Tidgney on the Data thingy on GT7

Seems like there has been a bit of a surge recently, with 4 out of 5 events surpassing 200K. Perhaps due to Spec 3 ... btw a graph on how participation evolved over time would be pretty awesome ;)
Like so?

Holy moly, the amaount of cutting the corners at the bus stop chicane in insane! I'm afraid i'm too german to be that naughty! 🥸

I just hope there's a chance to get gold with a real (no VGT) car, preferably the 919 or one of the groupe C era.
haha its not naughty, kerbs are always track limits, you can definitely get gold in quite a few cars though!
