Morning folks,

As expected I had another and more honest look at the new TT in a descent morning session...

so... my verdict...

Yas Marina ... bad track design 🤣
It just has realy weird camber and off camber corners in all the wrong places and there is truely nothing I realy like about it despite the lights at night 🤣

Then the car....F50 such an icon, and after the legendary F40 not realy loved by a lot of people, but it's such a monster.
Though it not realy shines in this combo, it's like driving on ice and has way to much understeer if you ask me, I never drove it ofcourse but I can't imagine that a stock F50 handels like this on this track?

so still a terrible experience, and this session didn't change my opinion despite I found 4 tenths, it does sound awesom though

I tried CSA on the controller, hard to say if it did help

Tried the Ferrari - red, red, red, red, red, and I’m not talking about the colour of the car. Traveling this week, so going to skip it I think.

Went back to the Alfa… took forever to get my eye in, but eventually picked up a tenth. Will have one more go in the morning.

Took awhile to find a flow with the Ferrari F50 at Yas Marina! My first impressions of the car were "man.... this thing is unpredictable..." But on my third session I started to feel what the car actually wants at any given moment and how to handle its weight. Nowhere close to an optimal time here, and honestly on this lap I felt like I made a bunch of mistakes. The chicane is a bag of hurt... I have an insane number of invalidated laps there, partly because getting over to left after the initial bump of the chicane is important to be able to oversteer out and into the clear, and like 90 percent of the time, I'm stuffing that up P86 being 1.3% off the record is telling me that this one is harder than average for most drivers. I'll go again tomorrow!!!

I didn't have any time to run Yaz or LM tonight after doing one of the weekly challenges (WTC 800 at...LM) and then running some laps around HSR with new purchases (XJ13 and Daytona Coupe)...and then figured I probably should do the dishes and not have to do them later.

Anyway, I did happen to notice the track limits are set to "Championship" for Yaz...

Im sorry buddy 🤣 I realy thought I didn't have the motivation to go ice-driving again but I woke up early and did about 10 laps of Maggiore and completely forgot how to bankyboooi so went back to Yas 🤣

There was more though... fastest red lap was .148 all faster laps invalidated beeing to wide on the curb before the last corner....

Got the garagecar out and slapped my own GT Planet badge collector deal on it, that must be were that missing time came from 😁🤣

It's pretty though!, sounds epic, but drives like crap over here 🤣

But happy to maby have secured a top 100....maby? I hope? 🤣🤣

Small improvement, at least into the 1:59s. The final sector is very tricky, so many things can go wrong. I think as low as a .7 is possible, as I lost a bit in S1 and around a tenth in each of the final two sectors.

Took a couple of attempts to get into this one. Was at a 2.03.6 in silver from Thursdays attempt, managed to smash that today thankfully as something clicked in my brain.

Completely messed up the chicane at the end of the straight and a couple of other places so I think a 2.01 is possible for me if I put in the effort!

Ok, I don't know Marina track at all, I think I played too much today.. Started on Prototype race 15 laps to learn that track, than WTC 800 10 laps and than kinda knew it, went to Circuit Experience and golded it in first try...After that went to F50 and didn't expect such a mess, since its Sunday I managed to ruin my day by total of around 600 kms on this track lol

btw this TT is on buttons too and Idk if 2:03.390 will stick, probably not.. I had better times but dq of course..





I won't be back on this track anytime soon

Finally under 2:12 in the Alfa. In theory another tenth in it but not sure I have the patience or motivation to go again. Started to see sub 37 seconds in sector 1 and there’s a few hundredths in sector, but car placement is so critical for rotation off the curbs, and the eases are killing me 😆

But do you watch any F1/Cars events - they are attacking curbs as much as possible to stay with 2 wheels on track.
Now this TT is easier to wheel users, bcs of holding wanted lines...

yeesh, I'm having a rough time in the F50. Only got in silver today. But I was starting to figure the car out a bit by the end of the session so hopefully I can at least get close to gold.

I would prefer just having track limits consistent with all (or most of) the other tracks in Gran Turismo. I do not need to be able to run wide enough I am on the next track in the game.

This took me a while to get. It was genuinely difficult and I kept making the same little errors trying to extract the absolute maximum. I know people like to bash this track but I don't mind it. It isn't as souless as many have suggested with some interesting quirks that I suppose go unnoticed in an F1 car. The off-camber corners under the hotel in particular are not straight forward by any means. Meow meow meow baby!

I did a short session with the F50, just to understand what you were talking about... I understood 😂

2.02.182, we’ll see about that later.


I preferred to enjoy the Alfa in Lago.

In the end, it was these sessions that frustrated me the most... and made me sweat a lot.

PB by sector in different sessions, unable to gather all this on a single lap and finally a PB higher than 0.500 compared to my "optimals".

I won’t have time to go back... it’s a shame.

I know what you mean, it's getting realy frustrating now that you were a tenth faster than me on the board when I booted up this morning ....again...🤣🤣 well done!

It's so delicate and for me personally it's one of those TT's where you just cant hit a lap without beeing compromised somewhere but if all would stick....a high 2:00 is easly possible but I just can't string it together in the same lap 🤣
Real problem for me is the chicane, I loose somuch time on P1 there it isn't even funny!

I did found some time though 🤣
