Despite my protestations over the weekend, I went back to the Autopolis event on Tuesday evening after everyone went to bed and put in a solid 30-lap stint in the Nissan. No CSA or TCS, ABS weak as normal. Picked up a couple of tenths, but now a 1:31 is within touching distance, so I'll have to have another stab at this. BMW event looks fun as well. Note the screen shots are from Tuesday so will have slipped down the order since that time

The turn into the infield is tougher than expected to get right, and is definitely where I'm suffering the most. Still was able to peek into gold, with a 56.760. Doubt that will stay gold, but maybe I can knock it down a bit more.

Morning folkies,

Went out with the NSX again this morning.
My previous sessions i had CSA on and was already happy with my PB to be honest, i'm just not that quick with the high downforced cars, so started the session without the CSA this time..
Very different car!, slower corners are so much more tricky!, but soooo much more traction if you get it right!
Car feels a little less agile without CSA for me and on the faster corners almost more controllable than with CSA, i can coast a bit more but still be faster or something..

Best lap was a 31.627 this morning but missed the apex on T12 :mischievous:, that did cost me a .5xx for sure, maby more..

@Dan_Tes ...Divert buddy!... Divert!  ( i'm doing a little dance while this last, hence the picture )

Blimey just saw this. Absolutely epic. Some folks are super smooth, loom slow but are fast. You look like youre beating the car like it owes you money. The way you carry speed is insane, youre so fast at the apex..... ridiculous.

I think you're more than safe TBH.
100%. There is absolutely no way that there are many tenths left to be found by the aliens on a combo like this.
Went a long way to 'solving' the final corner during my second session. In terms of working out the line, and gearing. And of course, I'm not in a hurry to 'hide' my findings, haha.

55.631 enjoy the ghost!

:gtpflag:
Thank you for you're service. 🙂 💪 😁
@EbrahimX7 please start sharing your ghosts too.

Thanks!
you gotta yeeet them if you can!
took me a while though to trust the downforce tbh but ones you got the feeling it isn't to bad and you can be fairly agressive ( that doesn't count for hitting the throttle in 2nd gear on the hairpins  )
CSA off works best for me on the pad, did go to a .606 but haven't uploaded the video yet :)

Hi everyone...
Back to TT after crossing France to visit my brother...
Before leaving, I only got a silver medal with the Opel and Mustang due to lack of time, motivation and energy... and probably skill too...😂😂
60th medal with the Mazda, but it's proving difficult with the NSX...😢
Autopolis is a demanding circuit and I'm not precise enough... I'm missing 8/10... that's a lot and I already feel like I'm at my max...

But last night, at the end of the session, I set a good time with the Z8...
It took me ages to get through T2 consistently... I had a lot of trouble visualising the apex... and knowing when to start the turn... either I hit the inside or I hit the barriers...
I managed a 29.2 (record 29.0) and a 27.4 (several times)... I'd say: case closed...

I'm going back to Japan to see and try the GT-R, you never know...

Well done to Lomic for his time with the Mazda at DP... Do we have the results of the anti-doping test? 🤔🤔😂🤣🤣

PD please please can you do something about steering angle, when I tilt controller maybe only 15 degrees, I am reaching full lock, can you please implement Steering Angle adjustable setting for motion control - gyro , that would make Gran Turismo even better. Thank you!

YEah it's hard, I am 4 one thousandths off the current gold time but struggling to understand why I am fast or slow in the final sector of hell. It's honestly some of the worst piece of track in the game that final sector, needless fidgety fiddling for the sake of fiddling.

Wow, I know for certain people will get a kick out of that strange TT, I remember we had this car in a daily race at Monza back in the middle of April 2024. I tried using it and it was really hard for me to control that beast. We'll see how this goes, I'm gonna get my popcorn ready, I'm sure some will complain about how difficult this challenge is.

And Watkins Glen is a fairly hard track for folks that aren't racing on it much, and are not familiar with the sweepers and the bus stop section.

Def. not an easy sector that last one and the main problem with it is you can throw away your whole sector there by comming out to wide on T-13 because the transition from T13 to T14 is so delicate! and if you overshoot 13 a little... the trailbraking is so much harder to get a descent line back, but if you hit it just right you can trailbrake a tiny bit into 14 and coast for a bit and gently feed it in 3th.... and pray.....

But it's realy a very demanding string of turns! ( and for me realy hurts my hands from trailbraking after a few laps! )

Trail braking is still a tricky concept for me to use, it's not that simple in it's own reality. The best way to learn it is to study top drivers guides like Tidgney, TheKie25, DigitGaming, SuperGT and MistahMCA.

I suspect I am over driving both at T13 (as you correctly guessed) and at T3 through T6. Finding that balance of not over driving but still hustling is difficult, I literally have no clue if i am fast or not through those sections, I look down and see the time gap to my fastest lap and that tells me but I cannot tell intuitively if i am fast or not.

It’s tough. On a wheel, I can sense the pace by how strong the pull of the car is through each turn. If the feedback is too weak I’m not carrying enough speed. I’m basically trying to maintain maximum pull without scrubbing the tires or losing traction. The line through t13 and t14, gotta go fast enough to let momentum throw you to the outside, setting up a good, straighter entry for t15. On a pad I imagine it’s very difficult as the feel is quite different… I attempted some pad laps and I couldn’t get anywhere close… 🍺

Gomario!!! I am seriously looking forward to it. :D:D  Trust, that 2J is an absolute dream to drive. The Daytona one indeed sucked but that was entirely due to the track choice.
