I like the new combo, first lap in bronze, and entered silver "relatively" rapidly. Not in gold yet, 1.5s to find... Not sure it'll be easy but I enjoy the combo !

Now onto the current ones, one of which I guarantee will be gold.

Safe to say I have exceeded that goal. The Xiaomi one was tough, made more annoying by a strange bug which for instance will tell you that you are only 5 tenths faster then your previous time while you're as much as 5 car lengths ahead of your ghost. Thankfully, this was not the case with the Hyundai one, which only took me the 2nd lap to achieve. An easy combined 4 Million credits in the bank for me.

Managed a 2:17.192 currently, not much to really say about this combo as it's just the typical GT3 at Spa experience which I'm sure every Gran Turismo player has experienced at some point. Overall though pretty boring combo, nothing new or challenging, I maybe could get a 17.0 or 16.9 but I'm not interested enough in doing so.

Here are my split times, I don't usually share my splits but I thought why not, my pace has been incredible as of lately and I guess sharing my splits might help people here compare with my pace to see where they are at, I may be doing this for future combos!

I have built a Google sheet to compare sector times vs a reference lap, including delta, if anyone is interested. Its not perfect but works.

Link to sheet

Only enter data for cells under elapsed time, and as MM:SS.000

You can get the elapsed time at each sector by watching replays. Enter the elapsed time for each sector for both your lap and a reference lap. The sheet will calculate sector times, delta and variance as %.

Wow, got some real crazies out there this week. 2:18.737 with what was a really good lap for me and I'm...1100th? Apparently just like last time...

We'll see if I've got time to improve on this when I'm back in the last couple days before it ends when I'm inevitably a thousand or two further down the list.

The car seems real inconsistent, so not entirely sure where I'm losing time - sometimes it sticks and other times it has no intention of doing so. Seems like a toss-up.

Excellent initiative @Oshawa-Joe !

I think there is an access problem in your settings.

I can’t open your sheet.

I tested with my sheet for G PRO settings, and this one works.

PS : You glow up !.

I can no longer follow you.

I knew this one was going to be tough, Spa is my favourite track to drive on, but I was never that quick here for some reason, always struggling in the middle sector, and it's the same story again. Pair that with the fact that we are in Gr3, so all the aliens will be fully on this, and top positions are going to be extremely hard to get.

I mean it's an ok first session, I can match the P2 ghost in S1 and S3, but I lose so much time in S2, understeering everywhere, whenever I put the power down I just go wide, and the ghost just pulls 2 more car lenghts. We will see, if I figure out how to gain half a second  ... I'll be happy
Complaints, complaints and more complaints ... and then posting P29 in the world!
I wish i had your problems! 😜😁

I believe I emailed you a link to save a copy of the file for yourself. And you are too kind to this old man.

Ive also updated my post above with a link to save a copy of the sheet for anyone interested.

Hi folks,

I've been quiet for the last ten days because I was following the advice: "if you can't say anything nice, just say nothing", and that definitely applied to the Mazda event (and I say that as a lifelong MX-5 driver). :D

Despite Spa being kind of an endboss track for me, I have high hopes for the Porsche, especially because just minutes after the new event was revealed, the delivery guy rang and brought me this:

Clearly the universe is trying to tell me something. 🤣
Very happy for you 👍👍. And it's a really pleasant and comfortable steering wheel because it's exactly the same as its predecessor, the McLaren GT3 V2, which I own. It feels very plasticky, but it's very comfortable.
Good drive @crome

Managed to get so close to Gold, will try a bit more later but I did a quick morning run and got this!!

Also the Data logger was very useful to see/compare where I slowed too much at Spa, and the last chicane is my kryptonite right now but defo can improve!!! Compaing to the fastest Aliensss there!

So second day came, I decided to turn off TC and counter steering, with only ABS to Weak.
And car handles better in this conditions, of course, you can spin, but no overall braking from those aids...

First I beat @ZevZoq time by a couple of thousands 😄

And then, I wasn't sure can I do it, but it happened, I went under 2:20!

After yesterdays short stint that took me by 0,04s into gold, i was down to silver as i turned the PS on earlier.

After warching Tidgney's guide and the lap of the current leader i found several spots to improve. Only 4 laps into todays stint i did this:
Gran Turismo™ 7_20260213173959.webp

That was a pretty perfect lap for my standard and i can't see much room for improvment. But i'll come back just for the fun (i always loved Spa and that new 911 is a dream to drive).

Handful of laps in the 911 after work…. Useful improvement with what seemed like a minor adjustment to corner entry. Will have more runs over the weekend, but it seems every person with a copy of GT7 is trying this one so will be a miracle if I go faster and stay in the top 1000

Well, looks like the best I can manage with the Mazda is a 1:33.619 - only a handful of hundredths better than my previous best.

I've got more time in the lap, but the car is just so inconsistent lap to lap and even corner to corner. Is it going to spin? Is it going to slide? Is it going to stop in time? Who knows!

I remember being on track to going quite a bit quicker than this and I should've kept at it that night because apparently I was in the zone...or would maybe just have wasted an additional hour of my time.

Whatever, it's good enough, and I have no more time to improve on it before it ends, as I'll be gone in ~10 hours through the weekend after the next one starts so...guess that's that! Annoying.

First proper look at the GT3 R this morning at Spa, I realy like thr power delivery and so does the rest of the world it seems 🤣.
But..... I do have some trouble getting used to the understeer, sometimes it just won't rotate and that makes T11 a nightmare.
T1 is a struggle to, I loose somuch time compared to Damian at the end of Kemmel straight, I haven't got it right once 🤣
I'm not disliking the combo, but I'm not a fan either....

Man if that your fantastic lap is only 443rd, then how many people is driving already...and alien men 👽

Exactly. I usually get around 1.5 or 1.6% off number 1 at my first go, which on day 1 or 2 is usually enough for top 200. I did my first Spa laps last night, was 1.56% off number 1, but around 950th. That's already gone to 1,135th.
