Yea of course you'd get used to it over time. No different to switching to 1080p from 4k. Initially it will be an obvious downgrade and difficult not to notice, but over time you'd get used to it. Then when you switch back to 4k you'd notice just how much sharper everything looks. Same goes for fps, you could adapt to racing at 30fps as we did back in the day. VR currently just feels like you're in a virtual world with mild myopia. When I say the tech isn't there yet that is what I mean. Once they fix the blurring, chromatic aberrations and mura it will be at it's full potential. It may take a few minutes or hours or even longer to get "used to it". Sometimes when I first put on the headset it's a little worse than I remember, and it takes a few minutes to get acclimated to it again.
Pretty soon your eyes and brain adjust to it and you just drive and stop worrying about every little difference in the gfx. After a while it's like wearing a motorcycle helmet or something. I wonder how many people check it out for a couple minutes and make up their mind they don't like it when if they stuck with it a little bit longer and gave it more of a chance they might actually really enjoy it? Something to think about.
Still a unique experience though and much more immersive despite its short comings
