You forgot to make the "d" inside transparent, did the same mistake, but noticed that after uploading to check the result. What app are you using?

Hi all,

Happy Easter for those who celebrate it.

Just wondering if this is possible? I have attempted this myself and am getting nowhere. Im using Inkscape and from first glance it works perfectly. When I apply the decal it is completely wrong. What mistake(s) am I making? I have attached images showing the various stages. I have also attached the image i am using.

To get to this point I have used an image of a silver fern, traced it and finally applied a drop shadow to the image

I am enjoying learning how to do this sort of stuff, but then I get these speed bumps which I cannot get my head around

If you haven't already done it, searching an AI with something like "Inkscape filters not working on GT7", you'll get interesting and plausible info about the issue, and maybe - if you're lucky - some workarounds.

Just attached a close crop and told it to isolate and clean up and make it perpendicular. Had to then ask it to add a slight curve to the horizontal bar.

For any colour ones I ask it to add a high contrast colour as a background then later delete the colours I don't need in an SVG editor

Thank you for responding. i did some googling and sure enough that is what I found. Unfortunately it makes things either much easier, or more difficult. The easier option just wont look as good. Darn it!
