It’s time once again for a new set of challenges for the new week. We hurl a big V12 Lambo around a section of the High Speed Ring, we drive some American muscle at Road Atlanta, and battle 700PP machines at Brands Hatch. Sounds like we have much more options for what we can use this week. Good.
Race 1 - Sunday Cup @ Autopolis
I picked the Ferrari Dino 246 GT for this race. It was a fairly easy affair, with the only challenge being to keep the baby Ferrari in check. It is a tad sketchy off throttle. Be gentle with inputs and you should be fine.
Race 2 - Euro FR 550 @ Nürburgring GP
I hopped into a stock TVR Tuscan for this race, another car than can be tricky to drive for a different reason: power oversteer. Add rain into the equation and you have an uphill battle on your hands. Thankfully, despite having zero traction control, the Tuscan managed to survive and beat the competition.
Race 3 - Aventador Trial @ HSR
The big V12 Lambo from the 2010s was the star of the special event this week. It is fast, but it ain’t no race car. You have to slow down quite early for turn one, a long, banked right-hand sweeper. I managed a 45.239 after a few attempts where I kept grazing the barrier going into the turn. The rest of the trial is plain sailing after getting that right.
Race 4 - American Clubman 700 @ Road Atlanta
I opted for the Plymouth Superbird for this one. It is one of the most disappointing cars in the game as far as its implementation is concerned. However, used properly, and it can be a decent weapon in events like this one. I managed to get an easy W despite a 50PP handicap from the 700 limit.
Race 5 - WTC 700 @ Brands Hatch
The Mercedes W196R is the furthest thing from a touring car, but since I can use whatever the hell I wish in this event, I picked this fully-upgraded 1950s Grand Prix car. It can go the whole race on the same racing medium tires, but be sure to refuel on lap 7 if you’re using the full FM1. From there, it’s an easy victory.
For my six-star ticket, I received 500,000 additional credits. That’s it for now. Take care!
