Got a 908 HDi from the ticket. Just put RS on the Jimny and Captur. Set the Impreza to 404bhp and RH like the Rally Car in Gran Turismo 1. RS on the Viper. If I had the JGTC Supra I would have used that to act as a car from the first Gran Turismo for my theme.

You can't even imagine how much I'd like to have full damage modelling just for those cases. I'd happily pay for a new car for myself if it meant I could witness in all its glory the explosion of carbon shards when plowing through the rear quarter without even a hint of braking. Having to settle for the current glued to the road physics where the AI car barely budges just doesn't give the same satisfaction as causing a wreck that looks more like an aircraft crash would.

But, I finally got it done today and then it was the first attempt of the day. I wasn't even going to use this car, a swapped XJ220 was the original plan, but it was perhaps too fast for the traffic and caused more problems than it solved. The extra picture at the end shows pretty well the lap time change after getting out of traffic... and before getting back to it again. One single clear lap in the entire race.

Good that you got them back! You don’t use cockpit view?

Currently using my new experimental 800 pp car: The base Toyota FT-1 VGT. Been running it in 800 pp races and is so far a reliable steed without looking out of place from the competition.

For the race itself, I lowered its downforce to minimum, then equip RS tires. For good fun, I waited for the leaders to pit in as the rain showered upon, and I soldiered on. I crawled on that next lap, recovering more than enough energy for me to use again for boost.

Didn't really go all out here...

Decent week, highlight is WTC 800 for sure. Jimny Cup is at sunset which looks nice, not too tricky with either the Jimny Sierra or a slightly tuned XC. One-make annoyed me because it's just about possible with a completely stock car, but the AI loves to get in the way. To do it completely clean would need 1:00 first lap and two 59 second laps or lower to even have a chance, but on my run I was a bit short so a divebomb later I ended up winning. Turbo Sportscars was a bit of a surprise seen as someone borrowed Gallo's Alfa, took some catching with the Mitsubishi VGT on SM, even when I got past he pulled 2 seconds back on the front straight. Clubman Cup can be hard depending on the grid you get but a stock Camaro Race-Mod on SH is quick enough in any case, you just have to be really smooth to get the best out of it. WTC 800 is always a fun race with the weather and it getting dark, also a track I really enjoy. I've done a lot of races here recently in Gr.3 cars so I picked a tuned road car instead. Not enough rain to change tyres but thankfully Fraga pitted twice so I was able to win by 8 seconds, as long as you run around 1:57-58 and pit once you should be fine.

Cars for this week:
full

Every week I wait for an occasion to use the Volkswagen ID.R but now I realize this car is useless. There is absolutely no race in the game where you can use it (and win I mean).
Why that? I don't own that car (unfortunately), but from its specs it should do well in any WTC 800 event (detuned) or in WTC 900 events (with RM's), especially since it has DRS - unless its fuel efficiency is that bad.

I don't think the battery life can last long enough.

Fuel consumption is enabled in all WTC 700, 800 and 900 races, the battery last like 2 laps.

Then it's gonna get difficult indeed, since you probably won't be able to get PP much lower so that you could participate in lower class events, and it's also not in any Gr. class, not a VGT, and as an EV also not useable in custom races other than one-makes :(

All lower class events are for road cars only so it cannot enter. Maybe you can use it in rally races lol

What I used, I'm not sure if I had won with the Suzuki or GReddy before (they didn't have a 69 livery on them) the Veyron is the one I got for my birthday and engine swapped it (so this was new) the Captur has all the mods and weight reductions so this was also new for me, the Jimny I have won with before.

Jimny Cup: Jimny Sierra JC. The Usual.
Race Of Turbo Sportscars: Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R. My LM Edition Build's first race and despite a moment (Setup Needs work), fun.
American Clubman Cup 700: Chevy Camaro 1969 Race-Mod. Untouchable.
World Touring Car 800: BMW Mclaren F1 GTR. I' m in full Han Solo Mode: I'm not interested in the rebellion, I'm here for the money.
Special Event: Think I might've overpowered mine, but I still did it.

I'm through with this week's five, good fun all in all. For me the fastest races were the easiest while I really had tough fights at Grand Valley. My cars were pretty much like posted before. Only the Captur needed a bit more power to finally reach the leading rabbits.
Ran both races at Grand Valley as stock challenges and to get through the field cleanly with the Jimny needed all my patience this afternoon. That's nothing new though, iirc @jad_morffier already mastered it a couple months ago.
