themes this week: rain, M3

suspected Tsukuba was going to be wet and sure enough it went right to the top/third of the rain scope
M3 '03 made short work of eiger
gold was set very easy for the time trial top 10 I saw were 3+ seconds faster than gold (this is not 3%)
918 with sports mediums was fun @Maggiore, 996 rabbit was able to keep up in the corners
M3 again, bought inters on a hunch, ran fuel lean, pitted on 8th lap for inters

6 star gives me 500,000 credits

I can't really think of a comment for each event.
Oh well—just take a look at the car I used this time.

No ABS for the second week in a row.

550 pp tuned EF Civic with brake bias all the way to the rear makes it turn like an FR.

The 365 GTB4 Daytona provided a neat challenge, but not frustrating.

The Maserati surprised me a lot on how it still has that compliant handling despite the absence of ABS. It can even slide its rear a bit if you know how much pressure you apply on the pedal on rotation.

911s are best driven with 0 brake balance if you decide your foot (or trigger finger) to do all the stopping.

The KTM can be a tricky one. I used it in relation to this weekend's Austrian GP, and its popularity as Spielberg's taxi. Lift and coast is the key to get the most out of its fuel. Will try the Radical and/or the BAC Mono as well, with those cars also having zero driving aids in real life.

We also need consistent track limits, they are different at every corner and can rob you of the bonus as well.
Absolutely. Just did the double chili Sarthe memories in the power pack, no contact anywhere and still no bonus. Probably too far inside in either the second chicane exit or the Indianapolis right hander, both of which are done so wrong that you can have the inside wheels on the kerb and lose the bonus or even get penalized in the WTC700 grind race.

It’s such a shame. How can we drive on the limit if we don’t know where the limit is?

Japanese FF Challenge 450: Honda Integra Type R. Ez
European FR Challenge 550: BMW M2 Competition. Hadn't used this for a while and good grief, it was much more potent then I expected and that was in its Cup Spec.
Porsche Cup: Porsche 911 GT1. Not the easiest cheese thanks to the Sports Hards, but I managed.
World Touring Cars 700: Mercedes AMG GT-R. I unfortunately had to crank the difficulty down due to time constraints so I couldn't experiment quite like I wanted. Still won, will reattempt later.
Special Event: Two tries was all it took (Once I figured out I could actually take turn 1 abit faster then I thought.

Edit: And the 6-Star ticket for me is...

Unfortunately the race settings at RBR didn't help me to choose among my favourite 700pp cars or experiment with .
Fuels playing crucial role and since am AT old dog fun my luck is short .
Anyway i use the "Junior " as a non stop and pay me out since no rain occurs ( just few drops in a couple of turns ).
Miss the CRB in a traffic jam and now am on Dennis Edwards side ..... Don't look any further.

And since the town mayor ask me to keep the jail " clean " for the weekend, I won't load the Escudo police patrol to bust them all inside.

6* brought a Porsche vgt that sold more than 500k which is nice and went with the rest to buy another BMW hyper .
Have a good weekend all weekly beaches and take care the heat especially those who aren't use to it .

Pretty fun week since two races were new to me (Eiger and the TT).
For Tsukuba I used an Integra with a 499pp tune on SM. Won by 10 seconds.
Eiger saw my underpowered Pandem Rocket Bunny E30 on SM and under the suggested. Fun race. Took me until halfway into the last lap to overtake first. Won by a second and a half.
Golded the TT after a handful of tries.
For the last two races, I had my Clubsport pull double duty: Lago in 649pp mode. Easy win.
RBR was another easy one in 700pp mode. No rain, just a hint but nothing fell. Pitted on 6 for fuel and won by 30 seconds.
Ticket got me 500k which I need to recover from the Hypercar buying spree.

I also find it interesting how typically longer races tend to be more forgiving when it comes to clean racing bonuses. You can tap, spun out once or twice and still get the 50 %
On others, you race cleaner and no reward. Strange..

I always thought there's nothing hotter than a Ford GT but I was wrong. The heatwave we have here in Germany gets harder every day now so while I type these lines guys my body starts flowing away just like that ...

Went with PD's PP suggestions this time. The first three races were quite easy although I needed a second attempt at Eiger Nordwand. Lost too much time in traffic and missed P1 by two seconds so I ran it another time - it's a fun race anyway.
Now, if we only had rain here like I had at Spielberg. The second half of the race was in the wet. Everything went astonishingly well though except, well, getting me appropriate tires. There's been too much water already so instead of turning right into the pit lane I went straight out almost to the wall and entering the pits was let's say a bit unorthodox. No clean race but still a win.
As for the Special Event, the crucial point imo is really nailing the infield entry close to the inside wall at an angle that lets you stay on track. The Maserati was a GT7 first time drive I think and a way better car than what I had expected. Cool !

Ok, my body is gone now ... 🫥

I know what you mean, the heat is very strong here too in the Netherlands. Thankfully only tomorrow will be too hot and then better temps. I don’t dare to turn on my ps5 now, it’s just too hot.

June – Week 4
I sympathize with the Europeans with their heat. It's a comfortable 23 degrees in Russia. Now for the weekly challenges. This time I used:
Gamepad | Automatic transmission | Race Difficulty – Hard | TCS 1

#5 | World Touring Car 700 | Red Bull Ring
Nismo 400R '95 | PP 700 | RM tyres | FM6 | 1 pit
Sometimes the WTC700 races are more interesting than the WTC800. This race is one of them. In my first try I used Ferrari F40 with RM tyres and FM6. After the 6th lap, I went into the pits, changed the tyres and refueled. When I returned to the track, Yamanaka was far ahead of me because he was only refueling without changing the tyres. I rushed to catch up with him, cut the gap by 10 seconds, but I was still second at the finish. In the next try, I chose 400R. I refueled after lap 6 without changing the tyres and drove the race pretty confidently to victory.

#4 | Porsche Cup | Autodrome Lago Maggiore – Full
Porsche 918 Spyder '13 | PP 650 | SS tyres
This time I chose 918. The main task was to escape from Carrazza. On the fifth lap, when the battery ran out, the car died completely - the lap time deteriorated by 5 seconds. Well, overall, the car is pretty weak, but still I won with a minimal advantage. The best lap is also quite slow.

#3 | Time Trial | Blue Moon Bay Speedway – Infield
Maserati GranTurismo S ‘08
I got the gold on the second try. In the first try, I was looking for braking points.
Gran Turismo™ 7_20260626174648.webp

#2 | European FR Challenge 550 | Eiger Nordwand Reverse
Aston Martin V8 Vantage ‘15 | PP 550 | SS tyres | NOS
I was waiting for this race last week and managed to find a car for it. The race was quite difficult. I used NOS and overtook Alfa on the last lap in a hard fight and scratched the car.

Gran Turismo™ 7_20260626180209.webp

#1 | Japanese FF Challenge 450 | Tsukuba Circuit
Honda Integra Type R (DC2) ‘98 | PP 450 | SS tyres | NOS
NOS again and a minimal win on PP below 450.
