We were doing MC work yesterday and experimenting with the immunity bubble around the clubhouse.
@Leadfoot530 calls a taxi  and as soon as he gets in the back I sniped the driver. That sound of realisation was gold .

I've just done some more googling on those free chrome bikewheels. It seems as I have to be in a public lobby, with atleast 5 other players. AFTER I've been on the ground team in the setup-mission on Humane labs that unlocks them. After that, it seems as NPC's count :banghead::banghead:

Soooo...is anyone up for a quick runthrough up to that mission tonight? With the difficulty set to easy just to get it done relatively quick. I'll host and take the setup cost. I could join any random host, but that wouldn't guarantee me the role in the groundcrew, or success of the mission.

I can be on in an hour or 2.

So how do you go about this private public lobby stuff? I tried looking around and it was all about unplugging router and all sorts of stuff I'm not doing. When he sits to play he sits to play.

Well, for me, I just join a public lobby and wait. There's a 50/50 chance you get booted out or everyone else disappears.

I do the following:

Set up Internet Connection -> (wireless / cable) -> Custom -> skip -> MTU -> Manual -> 578 -> skip -> done

It's never failed me once. Keep in mind that you will be isolated from every player in the world, including your friends, so if your MTU is set to 578 you're alone for good till you change it back to 1500.

Like @GT5Power says. I used to set the MTU to 800, but then I had randoms joining sometimes. With the MTU set to 600, i'm all alone.

So with the MTU @ 800, you should still be able to have friends join you, but you can't join them.

Edit: @STI9 I just realized that it's the finale. Do we really want to do that all over again? I mean, we did it 3 days ago  I could join a random if you and the rest of the heistcrew prefer to do anything else :)

Went on GTA Online for the first time in ages and immediately got the funds to buy my own Clubhouse. Did a random quick job first which ended up being one of those "____ V Rockets" matches, which I won twice in a row (netting me 15K) before returning to free mode. Then did a couple of missions with randoms netting me another 120K before selling an F620 for another 10K. This, coupled with the money I already had, was just enough to buy the 210K clubhouse in Sandy Shores, which I realised was a huge mistake as the clubhouse missions seem to take place inside LS, but there's a big timer for the missions so it shouldn't matter much. Went into a private lobby to try out one of the new missions but could only do POW with a solo MC. Did it with no issues and got around 20K. Now I'm going to try and save up for one of the custom bikes (even if they are incredibly overpriced).

Let's give this a go then. Hopefully it'll work.

Haven't considered what would be this DLC's winner would be. And nobody would take me seriously if I said Faggio Mod. Don't think it deserves it too, but that might change.

EDIT:

It appears a nasty bug has been spotted by some players. Whenever you bring a car out of the garage, any EMS upgrades to the engine will magically disappear.

But don't worry: it's not that bad a bug. You technically still have that upgrade. It can be temporarily alleviated by going to LSC. Now that's just one heck of an inconvenience if you want to cruise. :grumpy:

The car's EMS won't be affected in any way should you call your vehicle from your Mechanic, your Assistant. And we have no idea if it impacts racing.

Or the Faggio Sport, for that matter, even if the sight of a biker club of those would be quite amusing.
But on the basis of me not being too much of a bike person, even if the update does somehow tempt me a little, even with, maybe especially with both the Faggios, i'd have to say Youga Classic, with a bit of consideration that my first vehicle was the normal Youga, and seemingly-decent customization as well. With the small downsides of it not being available yet, and from what i can gather, general sluggishness.

Can you explain what MTU means? I barely have a basic understanding of internet connection terms that I've picked up from watching various PC gamers on YouTube.

I have tried out the Youga Classic. It's just that, aside from ZOINKS SCOOB, there's really not much going for it, as the Rumpo Custom that preceded (and personally won the Further Adventures in Finance & Felony DLC) it feels so much better, and has bulletproof windows.

Oh: please have a look at my previous post, regarding a serious bug from the Bikers DLC.

R* should add the Dukes O' Death in if the Kuruma is already online.

Exactly. I've stated this before, but it hardly offers any advantages besides being bullet-resistant. It can still be destroyed instantly by explosives or sustained gunfire, and the performance is not class-breaking like other cars.

R* is trolling with this car, as it is online... but only as the car in a Free Mode Event

full

Also: It can resist 2 explosions.

It'd be more of a game breaker than the Kuruma already is.

Ok, but you can't shoot in 360 degrees while riding in the Dukes. Additionally, the armored windows prevent explosives from being thrown.

I wouldn't mind it around here and there, but I don't think I would like the strategy R* will have with the DOD should they bring it online, as it was a transfer only exclusive.

You'd be surprised how many of the playerbase didn't transfer and/or bought the game first time on current gen.

It's basically setting the maximum size (in bytes) of the packets you can send, Ethernet uses 1500 as a default value and TCP uses 576. So you're reducing the size of the packets you send and presumably that's causing some sort of incompatibility with the peer to peer data transfer (which, I assume, isn't TCP) within GTA Online, but the connection to Rockstar is going through ok so they think you're online in a public session. I'd imagine if you knew which ports to block you could just block them to achieve the same effect... I think? I'm not really a networking kind of guy but that's my vague understanding of it.

The armored Kuruma already does this.

Exactly. The DOD isn't overpowered in that sense then. Even if it was, there's nothing stopping R* from altering it, just like the race cars from Cunning Stunts.

Ok. That helps a ton. Thanks!

I didn't realise how many dumb people were in the world until I played the slipstream adversary mode, if you mess up the first checkpoint that is understandable but doing 3 entire laps without noticing something is wrong...

the only reason i dont like the adversary mode. just today I had to tell both my teammates, "if the checkpoint is red, STOP" it's like you need a mic just to get it through their heads.

on a completely differently different note... RIP Stunt races...after this update dropped, I cant make insane amounts of money from races alone...guess I gotta bet on @Sting from now on...
