I can't connect to GTA Online...occasionally when I tried it said "Timed Out Joining Session" but when I went to the offline mode and tried to select my online character nothing happened. Went to the "Online" submenu within the offline mode and it said that Online would be available once I completed the Prologue...

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

GTA Online is down for maintenance at the moment.

As of 9:00PM EST on 1/15/14, Grand Theft Auto Online is currently down for maintenance until Thursday, January 16th. We expect to be back up within 24 hours. Players who were in GTA Online when the maintenance began received a message stating that they had been kicked from the session by a Rockstar Admin. This is normal and does not mean we have taken any disciplinary action against the account. During the maintenance period, GTA Online will be inaccessible and an incorrect error message will appear when attempting to enter GTA Online, stating that GTA Online will be available once the Prologue is completed. You will not have to complete the Prologue again when maintenance is over. We apologize for the inconvenience and will correct this in the future.

My hacked cash is finally gone, from just shy of 3billion it now shows a total of $543,770 👍
 
My hacked money is gone, as well as my legitimate cash...

Ah well. Not too terribly bummed about it. Back to running up Martin's phone bill with requests for missions. :lol:
I predict a riot of epic proportions on the support page regarding the hacked money being reset.
 
Check your Rockstar Social Club, I had 1.1 billion, now the Social club says I have 550 grand.

...and check GTA5stats again, here's what mine says now (yes I still have Antlers and elf shoes lol)

All my bank money is gone. I think cash in hand still remains. Luckily I went on a spending spree beforehand, but still, hopefully this coincides with heists or something, because I don't want to grind just to pay for ammo again.

Anyway I think this is an opportune time to post my stats:

I got 550k cash, but I got anyway all what I need 👍
And it doesn't take long meet nice guy who gives more cash if it's needed.
Anyway mission payouts was pretty nice at 1.09

Now just cheaters pool for godmode players, then I'm happy with this :)

I am down to $228,000. I wonder how they arrived at these numbers? I have earned a total of about $2M on jobs/selling vehicles etc. and obviously spent a bunch of what I was given, but ???

EDIT: I dont have a problem with the cash, just curious
 
I'v earned 10 mil from jobs (Yes I do lot of them) but I'v spent over 20 mil so I'm happy with my 550k :)
 
Same here. ~$2M earnt, $4M+ spent. A big portion of the spending was just cause the money was there (Shamal jet and a helicopter)
 
Well, I'm glad the hacked cash is finally gone. I purchased all of the cars and clothes I could buy (Not ranked up all the way yet. I think it's stupid that I have to be an extremely high level player to buy camouflage clothes).

I might just get rid of some of these cars and start over, since heists will *hopefully* come soon. My Asea is staying right where they are. I Can't afford to lose one of the rarest vehicles in the game. The Sandking XL I will keep for sure, but its not as important as the Asea.

I don't think on-hand cash remains... certainly not on my 1st character, at least. I have 10 mil on my 2nd character (that I can't view) so I might be lucky.

I wonder what the algorithm for deciding remaining cash is, though? It's all in multiples of 1000, and we're each keeping different amounts...

I would've kept about 7 mil if I didn't receive any cash... although my total spendings are around 100 mil so maybe not :scared:

Also, I'm seeing my kills proportionally higher than you all, not the ratio, but the amount I've murdered/been murdered... Man, I just hate the people i meet.

Or does death match contribute to this ratio? Cause i play that a lot.
 
Last time I played I was very close to 2 million legit. Never received any hacked cash because I avoided public free roam lobbies. Hopefully I still have my almost 2 million. I will check tonight. If its gone its not a big deal. I still love this game and have no problem earning the money again. I am glad rockstar is taking necessary steps to punish players that were hacking and ruining the experience. Luckily I was able to avoid all that frustration. I am also very close to level 100. So I should be able to hit that tonight. Hopefully with this recent update, heists will be in the very near future.
