Some times my ISP have issues with some router DNS servers, and I find Googles public DNS to work quite well when my ISPs DNS fails. I don't know if it works for your issue specifically, but it's worth a shot I'd say. :D:tup:

Sadly tried it and failed, and my PS3 is STILL refusing to connect after 4 days. :(
 
Just booted up online to get my daily objectives for the day:
-Participate in a Deathmatch
-Kill 20 Players
-Participate in an Inpromptu Race.

*Sigh* Anybody on PS3 able to lend a helping hand? If so it would be greatly appriciated. I'm on day 16/28 for the minth of objectives; I don't wanna lose it now.

Does killing the same person count towards the 20 kills, or do they have to be different?

You can kill the same guy 20 times

The 20 kills I think can be AI/Pedestrian.

I'll be on in about 2 and a half hours if you still need help.

Just killed two NPC's with a knife and while I was unarmed, no kills added to the objective, so it looks like it's gotta be an actual player.

I should still be on by then, just send me an invite or something. 👍

Host it yourself, Auto invite, as soon as someone joins start it (Set the time and score limit as low as possible), then either the other person will quit out or you'll do a 5 minute deathmatch

As I've found out myself, it can't be a created deathmatch. Has to be a rockstar one.

Good to know. That miserable experience the first go around was undoubtedly user-contrived. :rolleyes:
 
So many bad Deathmatch maps... So many... i only need three more kills and an impromptu race, then I'm done. Only problem is , I keep getting the "Xtreme Parkore $10,000,000,000" and "In Franklin's House" versions, which I'm now avoiding like the plauge. Made the mistake of joining one of the Franklin ones, and that turned into the ultimate RPG wallbang match.

Why on earth is it so hard to find a normal, fun, TDM or something? :banghead:

I just host one of the regular ones and let people join. I don't see what the issue is.

That's pretty much my last resort. If I honestly can't find anything, then I'll do that. Main issue with that is getting people to join. Just about every random out there plays their "$100,000,0000,000,000 $$$$$$$ Parkore" matches, so it's not exactly the quickest method for getting it done. The first few I did were fine, then it went downhill, rather quickly.

Off to try that now, though. Wish me luck.

More like Captain Insurance Claims. You lose two of your cars in five minutes! :lol: Again, thanks for the help with those. I might be back on later tonight for some more shenanigans.

speaking of shenanigans, how about that firetruck roadkill in that Capture, @Beeblebrox237? Out of nowhere, I come in and flatten that poor guy. Probably the most fun I've had in GTA in quite a while.

Most of those maps are just spawntrap deathmatches. As soon as you spawn, you are trapped in a cage. It's essentially a shooting gallery, with you as the targets. You get killed so quickly, you are unable to leave the match (Pressing down on the d-pad and selecting a character, or via the start menu). You'd have to quit the game (hold the PS button for 3 seconds) or even shut off your system to exit the lobby (And probably get Bad Sport for leaving a mission too early, although that might only be for Playlists). It's unfortunate that it is extremely easy for players to create these deathmatches, and R* can't remove these fast enough, or remove all of them. :(

The brawler had just gone down that mountain right before you came into the session. I actually got the "your car has been destroyed" message before it set alight so I was already trying to find an escape, I just forgot to equip a parachute.

The Blackfin, well that was just a bit of a cock-up. Impromptu race to the lake, forgetting it was a ramp at the end. Was going lightspeed trying to beat you and hit the raise in the road as I pressed the brake. Lost most of my braking zone. Hit the ramp and got quite good air.

I was in an un-upgraded Brawler. Pretty sure you had me beat! :lol: i was gonna grab my Blackfin, but hen I saw the NASCAR race was heating up, so I had to go watch that.

I'll be back on later if you guys wanna grind the Prison Break a few more times before it's done.
 
I don't think I'll have time to do another heist. I'm doing it now. On second setup but ill have to head off with work tomorrow.

Rockstar will make the argument that you can just do it in Creator because they're lazy.

I would like to see that make a comeback, but I just hope that we can purchase the police officer after playing it.
 
Achievement Hunter have done lets plays in a couple Cops 'N Crooks maps, they seem OK (NSFW Language)
