Yup. The GTA Wiki confirmed it does have a chance of spawning with the chrome stripe.

INB4 "missing GT5/6 chromeline car."

Yes, I've seen literally none while just normal free-roaming. Unless you can find it in free-roam, in which case, tell me how.

I see tons around the airport LSC and around the docks. I have a Phoenix myself, if it helps them spawn let me know I and I can let you drive it around. :)

But if you need quick cash, Simeon usually wants the vehicle and if he doesn't, it still sells for about 5000-10000.

Oh and then there's Gauntlet's(challenger's) that sometimes spawn on every corner. Usually the White with Red Stripe.
 
Does anyone have any tips for the Flight School? I was doing just fine up until the formation one, and I can't for the life of me control the Besra to stay in the circle.

For the first part, try and use the rudders. It makes it turn less while still keeping it stable. No tips for the rest of it though, I was all over the show on that too. :lol:

Try to focus on the other planes rather than the circle. Be easy with the stick control and don't forget to use the rudders. 👍

This helped out a lot. It only slowed me down too much for the loops but my score was good enough by then anyway. I'm now struggling with the ground level lesson. I tried doing it with the landing gear out but the wheels just kept catching on the ground and destroying the plane. I tried gliding and not accelerating, which seemed to work up until I got to the wind farm. To avoid throwing my PS3 out of my window, I've called it quits for now.

Keep the landing gear down and coast from the start, don't accelerate any unless absolutely needed, but even then just barely add throttle, and use L1/R1 for turning.

Took me a few tries, but the first time I got over the dam I passed it with gold.

The landing gears actually helped me on the ground level one, and I averaged a .6 or .5 too. It actually helped when there was flat land so I could hit the ground safely and get it. I didn't think I was allowed to hit the ground until I actually did it.
 
Maybe I just have some kind of nervous twitch I'm unaware of and I can't help but shove the stick forward and plant the plane into the ground when flying low.
 
I had an almost-complete run with 0.00... Then when I swooped down to get the checkpoint in the windmill park I got hit by one of the rotors... :guilty:
 
I finally completed it with an average height of 1.38! Not a gold, but I'm not doing that again for a while. Landing gear down and no acceleration worked. 👍

Two more to go...

You know, as much as i only have opinions of others, this doesn't look too daunting to do. Sure it'll take a few tries to gold, but it isn't impossible.

If you want a challenge, i have here my copy of GTA San Andreas on my phone. I dread the day i reach Verdant Meadows and do the Flight School there.

The videos unfortunately aren't helping. No matter how many times I watch it I can't remember the route he uses for the collect flags lesson, and I can't follow it while flying either. I just tried getting my mum to watch it and tell me where to go but we soon found out her aerial directions were just as poor as her ones on the ground, as she was just pointing at the screen and shouting "That one!" which wasn't really helpful.

If you have trouble maintaining a low altitude all the time, then you should try only going in low when you get near a checkpoint. It only measures how low you are when you hit the markers, so if you just move down everytime you are about to hit one, it should be a bit easier.

It's not the ground level one I'm struggling with, I've already done that. It's the collect flags lesson I'm trying to do. In the end I've just had to forget about my dreams of gold or silver and just take my time with them all and settle for bronze.
