I am a little gutted that heists are going to still take till 2015 to come out, I had hoped they would be out for this Xmas month.

However, with all the epic shiz that is in that trailer I will force myself to wait a little longer.

What's GTA's closest vehicle to a Jaguar XJS? I may have to recreate a Top Gear moment if the carrier is there in freemode.
 
Why do I have the feeling that the heists will be a complete damp squib and end up being more frustrating than any sort of fun?

Pirate wars with the Marquis are cool, but would be infinitely better with the yacht. I just feel like we will never be able to have it in free roam.

It can be house based. Like apartments. Except you're garage only holds Helicopters, and Boats :p.

But I want to be able to control the yacht and travel to wherever I want. I also hope we'll be able to access the aircraft carrier in free roam.

By the way, are there any new weapons that you can carry, except for the vault drill (Which I doubt can be used to injure people).
 
Because it's the holidays here, I may actually be able to do some more planning on the Rally series that never took off.

Can I PLEASE be a Huey chopper pilot? That's all I did in BF3 after I unlocked most of the weapons I wanted.

I'm a decent pilot too, you know. :D

I never played BF3 though. :/ (I played 30 minutes on the BF4 beta before it crashed. I was just derping around with a fellow GTP'er in a private match; I forget who it was).

The only problem is that there isn't an engineer class/repair tool that a friend can use to fix your helicopter on the fly (See what I did there?).
 
I was reminded this evening why I don't go into open rooms. Within 5 minutes, I was killed 3 times, and my car blown up twice. I was just riding around trying to find a Felon, minding my own business.

I did noticed the car variety is much better in an open room, as opposed to Closed/Invite only. Still no Felon though. :(
 
It seems Rockstar has confirmed we are getting holiday DLC, but no specifics on what it is or when we will get it.

In their latest Newswire post, they featured questions asked by various people on Twitter, with responses from Rockstar.

We prefer to keep such things as a surprise, but without giving away any details (no peeking under the tree!), we can say that we do have a few seasonal treats in the works for players on all four systems to enjoy this coming holiday season in GTA Online. Look for details on that very soon.

When asked the release date, and why the Heists were coming out next year, Rockstar offered an explanation, then had this at the end...

Because we need a little time to get Heists right, we are going to give you a small Christmas gift to keep you entertained until we are done with them.

Still not sure if I'll get GTA V for PS4 or PC... my laptop can barely run Saints Row 4 so my guess is that I won't be running GTA V on it anytime soon, so I'd have to build a gaming PC.

@gnomefromnome Don't blow up the truck next time in a Titan of a Job, I couldn't even take off because I couldn't move the truck, and thus the plane crashed. Then I got disconnected. :grumpy:

Had a random do that once, then died with the other guy in the group leaving me on my own. After all the NPCs were dead I used the big dock handler thing to shunt the destroyed truck & trailer.
