Yak, yak, yak, heists, blah, blah, blah, I'm the best at .... Who cares.

Heists may come. They may not. We are all expecting them at some point. Could be now or could be never. Until I hear otherwise, I am on the "gonna come someday" band wagon. I am just anxious as you all are. All I have seen (so far) in preparation for said heists are a bunch of egos and those who feel they need to thrill us with their impressive gaming skills. While we wait, we should be planning ahead a little better so we get the very best out of something we have been waiting for. Trying to pull off a heist with randoms is just heartache and anger waiting to happen. I am just a cranky old man but here is how I see it going down.

Scores are not successful when a loose group gets together for a man sausage contest. The successful crew is professional, skilled and versatile. Every member must trust one another and know everyone's job backwards and forwards.

The set up:

Weeks (or more likely months) should be spent forming the crew. Not everyone will be compatible. Find a group that is like minded in their approach to large scale jobs. (Read: Start finding players that have a similar playing style)

Once the team has been assembled, there should be several "practice" jobs that the crew should pull in order to better predict how each member reacts to different situations. This will also help build the team into a single machine instead of a bunch of unrelated parts. Work together enough that you all know what each team member will be thinking. It also builds trust. (Read: Get together once a week or so with your crew and just play regular missions.)

Once you have a trained crew assembled (and heists actually arrive) Go after the score. Once the heist has been completed successfully, all members will switch jobs and re-enter the job. Wash, rinse, repeat until the entire crew has rotated through every job. Move to the next heist...

I posted this because all of you GTP'ers are pretty brilliant and I am sure there are going to be several cool ways to approach heists. I just wanted to add my perspective into the collective hat...

All this talk of heists vehicles, and I'm just sitting here, waiting to use my fully upgraded Sultan, which is dressed up to look like an Impreza WRX STi. :)

It is the fastest land vehicle that can carry four passengers.

If story mode is anything to go by, we probably won't be using personal vehicles in heists. Besides, who'd bring their own car with their own custom license plates to commit an armed robbery?

Same, I've also got the Bison, Dubsta & Roosevelt for 6 and the Granger for 8

*Abandons car near heist*
*Fingerprints all over car*
*Registration is still in glove compartment*

Don't worry about identity crisis.

We have Lester to handle all of that. This is a guy who has the power to have the cops ignore you while you're criminalizing in plain sight.

I love that. FIB shooting me and then they ignore me.

I'm setting up heist prep jobs to find people best suited for different areas. Send me a message on PSN If you want to try and pass the test. If you do then you will be guaranteed that heist position when they release

New favourite past time.

Wait until someone is buying clothes in a shop, park a car in front of the door so it won't open, walk away.

It's fun.

Or, wait til someone walks into an interior, block exits with a dump truck and when they go to leave, put a proximity mine so that if they get around the truck, they die! Then call the cops so that when they try to kill you they are distracted by the cops

I think it's funnier with only the sensor mines, with you at a small distance.

Ahh, new clothes.. Time to give the fabric some stretch. *opens door*

BOOM

Got tests ready if anyone wants to apply for being in my crew when heists launch.

Video showing what you have to do to be a getaway driver

Add me on PSN if you're interested

I'd rather the crazy GTA paramedics rolled up, rolled over my body and performed some crazy voodoo to revive me
They won't. They'll run you over (like the 20 pedestrians they killed to get to you) then drive off and hope that the bomb was what killed you

Edit: The worst AI ever

I like how inept (purposely or not) the AI can be at times - particularly the paramedics.
I know

Edit: and then the 🤬 🤬 Who blow up your buzzard in a 🤬 mission.

The only thing I hate about online are those noobs who sit outside a mod shop and kill you as soon as you come round a corner to enter it everytime, then blow up your car just when you want to spend some spare money modding it :/ Other than that it's pretty good especially if you have people to play with. We just spam deathmatches and race playlists to get money and loads of RP along with killing sprees in freemode. I've gained about 18 ranks in about 2 and a half weeks from spamming team deathmatches and I'm now rank 85 (we did some earlier today and went from 81 to 85 in about 1hr 20min since we won all of them).
