The Nailgun Challenge:

A suppressed Uzi. It's about half as dangerous as a nailgun, and half as accurate. Complete Rooftop Rumble on Hard difficulty only with this weapon. You must use the suppressor, and can not use any other attachments or weapons. Did I mention that you can't bring any buddies with you? Yeah, it's you and your trusty nailgun versus the Professionals and their assault rifles. Bonus points awarded if you can make your character resemble a construction worker.

EDIT: No armored vehicles either! Damn you, SPD!

That has to be absolutely awful with the standard 16 round magazine.

Original challenge post changed because of someone.

The Nailgun Challenge: An SPD debrief.
Please note: NSFW BECAUSE THERE'S A LOT OF BLOOD IN SOME OF THESE PICTURES!

Now the low down.

A suppressed Uzi.
Complete Rooftop Rumble on Hard difficulty only with this weapon.
You must use only the suppressor. No other accessories.

Yes, yes, yes, yes. So that's all the..

Bonus points awarded if you can make your character resemble a construction worker.

HOLY SHRIMP, I FORGOT!
But then again: you have to use an exploit to get the trash outfits (which is what I think it is), so no biggie I hope, especially the chances I get Series A Trash Truck is low, and lower when you get a crew that plans to get the outfit..

Let's do this!

full

My setup: a Yusuf Amir finish with no additional accessories sans silencer.

full

A much closer look, for legibility.

full

Headshotted a guy taking cover. You'll be impressed when I say this is a quick fire out of cover and on free aim too.

full

Came by to start my assault, only that having 16 bullets isn't favorable against the 10+ people inside. There's a lot of "hit and run" involved.

full

Guy flanked me. Now that's professional. *booing sounds*

full

A bloody shot of my man showing his resilience. He got better.

full

So the flanker outflanked, I take an epic shot of what happens A LOT during this challenge.

full

Taking care of the reinforcement car.

full

And changed to first person.

full

More first person, which worked well for future Deathmatches with my controller.

full

Got this guy good. And he's the last one in the parking lot.

full

BUT IT'S ONLY ONE GUY!

full

DON'T WORRY FELLAS. I GOT THIS.

full

Not.

full

With the one car taken care of, the other car's personnel managed to somehow surround me...

DED.

Unfortunately, there goes my intended no deaths run.

With these pros surrounding the MICHAELMOBILE, I went for the closest traffic car and went for the documents straight away.

full

Like my hat, the silencer had to disappear for some reason. Should I visit Ammu-nation, this guy be even further away. I'm not sure if distance can cause mission failure.

full

Silent or not: a good headshot wins the day.

full

Going for the bag. Note the silencer.

full

But in Los Santos, bag goes for you.

full

Bag in hand, and in the car, you can say we're done.

full

"You dare doubt me?"

Results.

full

With that said, that's that. Could've prevented that one death, really.

My verdict on the challenge:
Doable, but it's a challenge for sure. I've been playing controller without lock-on for a week now, and this is pretty much the wake up call right here. Would've failed if there was a "don't die" objective.

full

There were a lot of close calls, but nothing too spectacular to mention. I'll be honest: I'd want to do these self imposed challenges more and more. Now if only we can do Heist setups alone..

Expenditures:

4 Super Heavy Armors
3 Egochasers
$700 worth of SMG ammo.

Attempts:
1. Yes, not a lie. I didn't even take cover or retreat to a place with a vending machine etc. All ground combat are on site.

On a totally unrelated note, this is my 2000th post. So.. hooray! This song again, and all.

@SomePlayaDude Glad you enjoyed the challenge. :)

By the way, how is your character aiming down the sights? I thought you needed to have a scope so your character wouldn't hip-fire all the time.

I guess hip fire is when you just aim without zooming in.

You don't need a scope to zoom in; the scope makes it zoom better, I guess.

Maybe it's because I'm on PS3. I've been confused about that thin stock that sometimes appears on the rear of the Uzi. What causes it to appear?

That's.. peculiar.

I've never really noticed it in effect till now. Probably the stock comes out when I'm firing from the sight.

I personally think it looks ugly with the stock, even though it's taking away the gun's practicality. However, the Uzi really isn't that effective outside of the first few missions, where you'll be able to find superior weapons.

Did the challenge. Hard difficulty, only silenced Uzi. Nearly died a few times but got it done pretty easily. Will post a video of it later today.

This sounds like a pretty cool challenge, will need to give it a go when I get home. Is it the worst weapon do you think? Would it be more difficult to find a difficult mission and do it using only the pistol?

First-person makes all weapons aim down sights by default, but they will be hip-fired in third-person. Not sure if accuracy is affected or not.

Uzi is actually a pretty good gun in this mission. Although takes a lot of shots for some enemies

Like @xXKingJoshXx said, the SNS Pistol is probably an even worse gun to use. I don't know why R* would ever add such a terrible pistol when just about everyone online runs around with either an assault rifle or LMG.

just drive to the pier and ride the ferris wheel until they are bored to death

I think I would die of boredom before they do.

Run them over on a faggio

I actually started the mission on my Faggio and chased the briefcase carrier to the cement factory.
