Macklemore's evil twin, Mackleless, was sadly lost in the cloud crash today. Fortunately, he left 20k in the bank for my new character.

Next time I'm going to be more careful.
 
So I turned off the PS3 after exiting MP by returning to SP, letting MP save. When I turn it back on, I lost my character, and social club isn't showing my character either. Level 0, 0 RP, 0 Cash. The only thing that isn't wiped is my 70k in the bank.
My luck...
Someone wake me up when R* solves the player abductions.

I hope he'll return, my stats still showing so not giving up hope. Might check later on tonight.

I made a new one, Now not getting a car as a personal car >:D
 
I did try to play with you guys earlier but I was having problems loading from the cloud. I'd click to accept an invite and it would say the servers are down. So I click retry and it would take me to the character screen where my guy is, I'd pick him and it'd put me in a random game with strangers. It would do this every time I accept an invite. So I did it 3-4 times with that happening and figured it's best to stop playing just in case I get to the screen and Danny isn't there anymore.
 
Just tryed to log into multiplayer and my character's gone. No cash in hand, no RP, no crew membership. This is just unacceptable.:grumpy:

Social Club says my stats are still intact but this is just beyond a joke.

Find a friend and boost. To me racing is the easiest way. Also steal a car from the AI and sell it at a Mod Shop.

You can sell stolen cars?!? Oh man all I do is steal cars. I might sell my personal car as it's worth about 10k. I seen a lot of fancy cars recently so might steal one of those for myself.
 
So far I've found the Mercedes G Wagen look alike is worth 8k at LS customs but you can only sell a car so often.

Same here.

And you can steal cars and sell them, but I think the limit is one per 24 game hours. The Oracle (at least the newer one) is also worth $8k, and I've heard the Baller (Range Rover) is worth 9.

The Range Rover rip offs are the best, they give you 9k and you can only sell a car to LSC every 24 in game hours.

I tested this out a few days ago and can confirm it :).

Also you can't sell high end cars like a Feltser or a Rapid GT etc. It flashes up that the car is to hot to mod, has a tracker on it already. Then it says to buy these cars at LegendaryMotorsports.com.
 
So after busting my rear end grinding 'Rich Man in Richmen' for at least an hour with a friend and racking up over $70,000, I think it's a fair time to bank the money and call it a night before the Cloud servers eat up our hard night's effort (and possibly our characters).
My strategy is to not buy ANY properties, and just keep earning and banking the money until the servers are absolutely stable to the point where they rarely crash. Then go on a spending spree. :D
Here are some tips while Rockstar fixes GTA Online:
1) Deposit ALL of the cash you get. Take out $50 if you need to buy a soda from the vending machine to replenish your health
2) Sell any expensive car you find to LS Customs
3) ALWAYS use Passive Mode in public lobbies. Nothing is worse than losing your hard earned cash to someone who's a bit happy on the trigger
4) Never pass up an opportunity to play the mission Violent Duct. This nets you $9,000 and over 1,100RP in less then 2 minutes. If you or someone you know can utilize the Mission-Replay glitch, then that's more money for you!

Might be able to get online later tonight (9:30-ish CST) depending on if the cloud servers are up. Don't want to earn money for nothing.
 
Looks like I have lost my character, went to play it moments ago and nothing... might just give it abit and see what the go is.
 
Every time they reset the stupid servers whenever something happens, it deletes a crap load of user profiles and data. They need to figure out a way of fixing crap without resetting everyone's stuff. At LEAST make the retarded opening cut scenes skippable. SERIOUSLY I REALLY don't want to sit through it again. I REALLY don't.

Also, if the servers are down, whatever you do, DO NOT start an offline/new character. When you get that message simply back out. It shouldn't erase anything if you don't do the offline GTAO.

I am going to give it another week (off to the v8 supercars so no biggy about missing playing etc) and when I get back and my character isn't back I am done lol trade the game in towards something else maybe the new ass creed and by GTA 5 when it's in the cheap bin at ebgames.
