I'm going to guess that the host gets screwed over while the invited players get the old full payout? That's my last guess before I assume it's a bug/glitch. :confused:
Are the servers still down? I'm out at the minute and can't check.

You could be right, maybe to lure people into playing together more? I've noticed it really sucks and gets boring when your on your own.

That's a good way of looking at it, and now that you brought that up, that might be the actual reason behind the different payouts.
And yeah, playing on your own gets boring quickly, so do yourself a favor and load up an Iron Maiden playlist on YouTube or whatever you love listening to and blast away! :trouble:👍
 
I guess the government conspiracies are too obvious now, people have resort to Rockstar conspiracies. Next thing you know, people will be saying this is Obama's fault somehow.

They've added new races as well. I just finished a new one in Vinewood called Thrills in the Hills. It was fun and a good payout in RP. I know it was new because it had 0.00% rating.

EDIT: Missions still aren't working for me though. I start it up and then straight away it says Mission Failed. It's been doing this since I got online at 4 this afternoon.

Because I'm not the only who used the exploit, duh. I was referring to everyone who DID use the exploits. Some people need to put down their video games and turn their brain on. I know, it can hurt sometimes and it IS the weekend, but it's only for as long as it takes you to READ a comment, process it and then comment on that comment.

All I'm saying is that this never happened when any other President was in office....;).

But in all seriousness, they've been spending a lot of time limiting how much people earn (cutting payouts, no replay of missions, etc.), I wonder why that is? The game revolves around money!

I noticed that yesterday when doing Base Invaders with a friend who was only level 31 (I think the minimal level is 40). He got $25,000 while I got the cut price of $12,500!

The first time you play and beat the mission, you will get the full amount. Subsequent replays will see a payout amount reduced by half. This is to keep the game balanced as well as encourage the exploration of new missions and content in the game."

Those new missions and content they are talking about have been added we just can't access them all yet. I've set two World Records on two new races, the second one I did was called Graveyard Shift. But they've not been recognized because the servers are down :lol:

Anyways, that now makes sense. Mystery solved.
 
Got a few bike races earlier with a member from the clan, so now up to Rank 10 and have just unlocked the bounties option from Lester.

Waiting for the money to buy a property somewhere, need to look what takes my fancy.

Exactly my point mate. It seems that Rockstar are focusing on fixing non-game-breaking issues such as limiting the money for missions and not focusing on things that can be deteriorating to one's experience such as the character deletion glitch and getting stuck on a loading screen.
As for the bike glitch, it's a double-edged sword. On one end of the spectrum you have the people who just want to finish that one car in their garage and need cash fast. On the other end you have the nutcases who do the glitch, grind to level 70, purchase a Rhino, and go absolutely insane on other players.

They seem to think they've fixed that, or at least the last update was "supposed to" fix that.
 
After coming home and trying to join iainoflo85's game, only to get Rockstar's middle finger with the Cloud Servers still being down, I give up for today. Hopefully things will be better by tomorrow.

Other thing about mission payout, I wouldn't mind if the payout changes from replaying missions is halved, If the game ever gave me any different missions... from Simeon I get blow up 1 @ 2 or Rich man in Richman, Gerald its No hay Bronca or Violent Duct, Ron its Turbine Carbine or some other low level one i forget, Lester its Titan of a Job or High Priority Case and Martin its Out of Court settlement or a level 30 mission that pays virtually nothing, Im level 60, I want missions over level 40! not the same crap I was getting at level 20 :S Doing my head in..

My bad, I've never seen them before. There have definitely been new missions introduced, and some have had their names changed.

To get new missions you have to wait for the contacts to phone you with them, then once completed you can get them again on occasion when you phone them and Request a Job.

So the second to last one fixed it, then the last one undid everything that the previous did. Nice one rockstar. May as well bring out a patch disabling online all together again, seeing as I haven't been able to even play once since the last update.
 
So I've been wondering, has anyone worked out why we had to give our characters a name when making them? I haven't noticed my character being called by the name I gave it, or worked out how to find out what other players character names are. Seems like it has no use?
