I can confirm from experience that this isn't true. I've tried it. Don't ask.
The trick is landing it right side up. Any vehicle will survive a fall from any height as long as it lands on it's wheels/tracks.

BTW, do you guys know about the gate glitch?

SVX
Signing in and out on the first bump. I've tried it as soon as I confirm, just past the first bump, etc. I'm on a wired, and have tried signing out and pulling the cable.

I'm assuming you're using this method (potentially NSFW) http://www.reddit.com/r/gtaglitches/comments/25uqg7/spmp_wireless_ps3_xbox/

If so, at step 12, do this as quickly as possible. Right after you sign back in, hit the PS button again as soon as possible and behind the XMB, you should see the game either frozen or attempting to load (small spinning circle). After a few seconds, the XMB will automatically close again, at which point you should again press PS to enter the XMB. Usually by now, you'll see the "Joining GTA Online" message in the background. As soon as you see this, you can exit the XMB as the session should load properly. It also seems to help if you have no set PV and the location is somewhat hit and miss. Make sure you do a quicksave when you're online too, instead of armour, try using a hat or glasses to force a gamesave.

What do you expect out of game that is named after a serious felony? It's not the Sims, this is a game marketed as a shooter, of course people are going to kill you.

I normally go with the mindset of: I won't shoot unless I'm shot at first.

That's why the one night the guy was attempting to grief us when we were doing the Tailgater thing, I immediately turned and popped the guy in the head after I saw two bullets go by...

I just drive by people unless they're out of their car, have a bounty, or sitting there with a sticky bomb out their window.

Not my point. I didn't even get out of my garage, I didn't even have a chance.

If you have more than 120k and can get a second property, the Greenwich Avenue garage is the best one. If someone is anywhere near the property, it will spawn you at the airport terminal when you leave the garage. Even if the person is out at the entrance to the road leading to the garage, it will spawn you at the airport. My friends and I have tested it just to see what the limits of the protection was. Even if someone who has the same garage enters it as you are exiting, it will put you at the garage. If a car is parked, and empty, outside of the garage, it will spawn you at the airport.

Plus it's pretty much right behind the Los Santos Customs by the airport. Makes it very useful when selling cars.

So THAT's why I can't do the sp to mp glitch there..

I have the Integra Way apartment for my 2nd character, and it'll deposit you and your vehicle in one of 3 places. Usually it's right outside of the garage entry, sometimes on the ramp close to the garage...and once it spawned me on the street next to that huge hole that was used for a storyline mission.

That's what I bought when 1.13 surfaced.
