I had the greatest showdown with another player in the last session I was in.
He had a bounty on him, so obviously my first decision was to kill him and claim the money. While chasing him, he gets into his Buzzard parked at the helipad near Vespucci Beach. I continue driving, and when he missed my car with one of his missiles I got out, grabbed my bullpup rifle, and shot him while he was in the chopper. I take the chopper, and he hides near one of the garage entrances, shooting RPG's and bullets at the chopper. The chopper breaks down (but doesn't get destroyed) while I have the cops on me and he attempts to kill me. I hide behind a wall, and he shoots at me. Barely avoiding death, I manage to kill him again using my sawed-off shotgun. A mugger (sent by a different player) robs me, and gets killed by another player. In the midst of the carnage my 'rival' sends a mugger out, this time I kill him and take the car I was attempting to get into.
I flee from the war-zone and he sends Merryweather mercenaries after me. Barely escaping, I stop at the outside of a mansion in Vinewood Hills (slightly north from Michael's) and fend off the mercenaries from there. He keeps driving around in his supercar and throws sticky bombs in hopes to kill me. I kill about 8 waves of mercenaries before attempting to make my getaway. I steal a Merryweather Mesa and attempt to escape, but due to the AI's ridiculous accuracy in drive-by shootings, I get killed after getting rammed by another Mesa. The mastermind behind the chaos left after the mercenaries killed me.
A couple of questions; Do Merryweather mercenaries spawn infinitely until their target is dead? Is it possible to evade the mercenaries somehow?

I once asked @SomePlayaDude to send mercs after me so I could take their Mesa, just one truck spawned and after I killed them that was it, no more mercs.
Something amusing just happened to @Custom878 and I. I met up with him, he got in my car so I decided we should go and claim a bounty up near Fort Zancudo. On the way there I managed to jump my Coquette into a swimming pool, then Custom jacked a Sandking XL. We carried on, got the bounty and I called Pegasus to deliver my Liberator to the nearby drop spot. After some terrible driving I noticed the guy we killed had another bounty on him despite there being no players nearby for him to have annoyed after the last time, so I figured sure, let's go kill him again. I used the camera to take a peek over the hill and saw he was in a tank, and for some reason I got out of the truck to get a better look...
Then I noticed the blip on the map was moving towards us, and I think Custom noticed it at the exact same moment and our reactions were identical - 'It's coming right for us! RUUUUN!' - but we didn't manage to get away in time. Custom left after that and I used Off The Radar to get alongside the tank and sticky bomb it to hell. I spent maybe $4000 in bombs to claim a $1000 bounty, but it was worth it.

That's IT! I have HAD it.... My mechanic is going to rehab. It is only a matter of time before I find one of my "delivered" cars in a tree...

I don't even think the mechanic is real any more, I think its the car fairy dropping cars from the sky, appearing when your back is turned.

After playing public sessions on Xbox and PS3 I have concluded the Ferris wheel is just PS3.

I played GTAO for a few minutes today and didnt see a single ferris wheel.

Yesterday while I was trying to find crew members to play with, when the camera snaps to the bird's eye view and zooms out as it does when you change session, I saw four ferris wheels littering the street outside my garage. I didn't even have to move and I saw four!
