All cars are 'premium' and lots are convertibles, putting the roof down with one button. Sounds are amazing as well.

No, they're not, they're Standard. There's no cockpit view.

But seriously, was this GT reference needed here? Can we PLEASE be done with the old premium/standard BS that EVERYONE mentions EVERY driving game that comes out. GTA isn't really a driving game anyway, it's an Open World Sandbox. I feel like I should go on a Laslow rant about this, but I won't...'cause it's stupid and old and cliche now, and I just want it to go away.

On a more on topic note, I've noticed a lot of GTA Online items here and there. Like female clothing displayed in clothing stores, reality sites and various other little things.

Now that I've finished all the missions, I'm starting to explore, do activities, and spend money.

So far with Michael, I've done one yoga session, took him on a shopping spree at Ponsonboys, and bought two properties. I've also done some more of the arms deliveries with Trevor.

I finally played the game!

However, my gripe about the cars is that I thought we can make them look like monster trucks in LSC.

Oh god. The Jet Ski physics are horrible. :yuck: 👎

Yeah, they certainly can be. One negative I will say about GTAV is that starting a car takes too long. If you're stealing money from an armored car, your best bet is to just steal the truck 'cause if you try to kill the guy with the case you're going to die because you can't get your car going fast enough.

The police AI are better, though. They'll set up roadblocks, spike stripes, once the military is involved, they'll use correct tactics. It's pretty impressive at all the little stuff.

This definitely seems like a game that would be better suited to something like PC and PS4. So, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see those versions coming eventually.

And there are some interesting bits like the fact that there's slots for 4 characters in the selection wheel. I'm curious to see if they introduce the fourth in an Episode.

As for the length, I think they want people to finish the main single player story before GTAO is released.

They are all over the place. Steal them, buy them etc.

I meant that you can't lift cars and equip them with big tires in LSC.

Also tried my DFGT in GTA V. However, it didn't work.

Oh my god! So not fair! I was flying around at night in a helicopter trying to uncover the blurred areas on the map and saw an airstrip. I thought "Oh. Why don't I just land over here. It looks like a parking lot. I'll land and grab a single engine plane."

Since the game didn't warn me ahead of time, I flew into a MILITARY AIRBASE!!!! Suddenly, a billion frickin dots appeared on the ground and fired at me! I panicked and flew away. Everywhere I went, helicopters kept appearing on the map. I was able to evade them for a short time before my helicopter gave out and had to land. Then, helicopters pursued me for another 3 minutes while I was on foot. Eventually, the cops cut me off and shot me dead.

From the first shot fired to the last shot, I kept saying "I'm sorry!" :(

EDIT: These constant deaths really aren't helping my money situation.

Oh yes I know the damage in general has been improved but I was talking about visual damage specifically. The cars don't seem to get all bent up (deformation?) as much. (Although I haven't been going around slamming my car to test the damage system, maybe that's why I haven't seen the full extent of it yet.)

Maybe it's the same or better, I might get on GTA IV later and compare.

Dying takes a sum of money proportionate to the amount of money you have upto $5000. So, it can't get pricey. That's why you should always keep plenty of money on hand.

I think it's silly that the garages can only hold 4 cars in single player while the GTAO garages will support up to 10. Then again, you're not playing 3 separate characters in GTAO, plus there's enough room in the house garages to fit 1 or 2 cars, so, I guess it's fair.

Actually, I was able to crumple cars to a better extent while driving the Land Mover. That was fun...up until a cop rear-ended me and exploded, killing me. Still, fun to see better damage. And maybe the PS4 GTAs will have better, more realistic damage models.

Yeah you haven't played enough. The cars do deform nicely and heavily. In GTA IV heavy deformation would cause the textures to glitch and we would result it some weird looking damage. Now the cars look much more realistic when they deform, but like others have said the cars are tougher. But if you want to you can damage them just as much as GTA IV.

First time I flew over it, I got the same red dots & some Hydras flying above me. Soon as I tried to fly low into the swamp next to it, all I heard was the sound of a missile lock before being blown out of the sky.

I've been near there, but there is a swamp? I need to check that out. Sounds like a good place to go mudding.

[ /B] -> Would have loved to see that!

The game (or should I say, Ron) calls it a swamp during a mission. It's directly south of the base & opens to the ocean.

It's not a swamp. I heard it referred to as wetlands.

Also, for those who have beaten it, which ending did you choose?

I found it.

I chose option 3. Couldn't get myself to pick the others.

Also where can I get scuba gear? I want to explore Alamo sea but its merky as hell. Good place to escape the cops too.

How exactly is that related to GTA: O & not Rockstar including female props in the single player to create a more authentic world?
And there are some interesting bits like the fact that there's slots for 4 characters in the selection wheel. I'm curious to see if they introduce the fourth in an Episode.
The 4th character is your online character when Online unlocks.

I never thought that cops can pursue you even when you're inside of your safehouse.

That started in GTA IV. Kind of annoyed me but it's realistic. That wouldn't happen in GTA II era games.

And it's somewhat funny, too. But the protagonist may have a high risk of being busted. Kinda sucks but like you said, it makes it more realistic that way.

First impressions which lasted through the whole game until the very end, IMPRESSIVE and AMAZING.

Now, when I finished the storyline, I am dissapointed.

RockStar, the story is too short, damnit!

Anyone know of a good digital version of the map? I'd like it for my iPhone or iPad. I don't need the secrets etc I'll find those myself but a really nice map would be great.

Shame Rockstar didn't put one on the companion app.

Edit

Scrap that I've found one, it's part of the other companion app. Cheers.

So I finally got to play GTA V last evening and pretty much the whole night at my friends place. Impressions so far? Definitely a GoTY contender.

The game is very pretty and a huge improvment over GTA IV graphics wise, the physics are great and so are the characters (the nutbag Trevor especially). The story seems pretty solid too, thus far. My only gripe is the FPS. My friend's 500GB Super Slim is really struggling as far as my ears can tell.

Anyway, back to playing some more now.

So, the game belongs to your friend?
