Has anyone else noticed how the other motorists swear at you out the window if you're driving a little erratically? :D loving this little addition 👍

16 hours and 34% complete with 36/69 story missions complete. This story is awesome!!!

It is not A
B is A
It is B.

Fallacy detected.

Over simplification detected.

Since I'm taking a break from V in my local, with a beer, I'll clarify the opinion I stated in my previous post (y'know so it doesn't appear so false or mis-leading)

When I started playing RDR it felt like all R* had done, was hang new graphics off GTA 4, but set it in a different era (a bit like Vice City), but as I played the game it became apparent that all the elements were so much more cohesive, and fitted really well.. So after finishing the game it was obvious it was so much more than I had thought it was at the start. Since V is quite an evolution from IV, and has carried over a lot of elements from Red Dead redemption, V feels more like RDR with new (contemporary LA) visuals draped over it --- kind of diluting its GTA roots -- this is perhaps a contributing factor to this feeling less like a GTA game to me. It's not really a criticism of the game, just how I find it.

Right, one more beer, then back to it.

Why not drink and play at the same time? You'll still be drunk...

There's also a good amount of extra missions that isn't counted, I think. I'm especially thinking about the "friends and strangers"-missions (or how it's put) which I would consider story-related, but I'm not really sure whether or not they really are that.

And, I'm 30% through the game after 10 hours of play. :p

So, it's only about 69 missions? Not like in San Andreas?
Correct, the checklist menu tells you how many open missions you have going and how many you've completed out of 69 total missions.

I'm loving the motorcycles in this GTA. Chop is a nice addition, I thought I'd hate chop but he does come in handy!!

Wow... I narrowly missed a pedestrian on the sidewalk and took a quick rear view peak to see them flipping me the bird!

They also use that for the mouse when online.

Someone made $300 million on stocks :o

There is a trick to it with the ingame market, vs the Bawsaq one which is player economy driven, invest in the competitor of the place your gonna rob :)
Also when your doing side quests some people give you stock tips...

Plus if you see some trucks carrying supplies of the companies on the road, if you take them out, it should effect prices....
And so on

I think the Ammu-Nation gun shop stocks on Bawsaq should be steady gainers, since everyone is going to buying a lot of guns and ammo ;)
Once the servers are back online that is! Seems like it, based on the graph here
http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/bawsaq

There could be a lot of long term fun here

I've had that. I was driving along in the evening and I spotted a "GT40" at the side of the road. I stopped and jumped into it, and drove it away. The first song that played was Robert Plant's Big Log...

My love is in league with the freeway
It's passion will rise as the cities fly by
And the tail lights dissolve in the coming of night
And the questions and thousands take flight

And that fitted in rather nicely.
I had a moment where I hopped into a truck and "Convoy" was playing. :D

It's also possible while riding a motorcycle too. It came to me as a surprise, as I accidentally did it.

I'm not sure if this counts as first impressions, but is it just me or does it seem like the city is empty and a lot doesn't work? I mean, GTA IV had more enterable buildings than the entire map from what I've seen so far. No enterable hospitals, restaurants, apartment buildings, or even parking garages. After you take everything in and relax a little it comes as a little shock, like what happened, I can't explore anything like the hype said we'd be able to? As far as things not working, so far none of my stolen or wrecked cars has gone to impound, insurance doesn't work for me, and when I sell stocks after making huge gains sometimes it just gives me back my initial investment and not any profit. Sorry to be a bummer, I was just wondering if anybody else thought the same.

I was just about to write this! Where are yhe restaurants? Why are all the parkinglots empty? Yes when you calm down it is somewhat empty. I di believe however, that restaurants and such are supposed to open online. So maybe that will open up some things.

EDIT:
I mean the clucking bell is represented all over the place. I want to eat! And rob them of course:)

Keep exploring. There are a TON of enter-able buildings, they just aren't marked by anything nor are many on main streets. As far as the life, go into more populated, touristy areas. Vespucci beach has a LOT of people in it.

And there are more than enough parking garages. Most aren't extremely populated, but they never have been in GTA really.

How much exploring have you actually done, though? The impound lot takes time, but it will let you know if you've left a car the games recognizes as yours. Typically, if it's a car you drove to a mission & then left behind on the street.

I don't think the insurance for cars is implemented in single player, though I may be wrong.

Playing the stock market looks like you need to buy lots of shares to notice. When you do the assassination missions, buy the stocks Lester is interested in. Then you should be able to sell them for a large profit.

You need to advance the story a bit before stuff unlocks, then you'll see more enterable buildings

And completing these missions will still be needed to unlock some portions of the map, right?

Mmmm, I thought no, but I'm not certain. Which areas are locked for you? So far I haven't encountered anywhere that is locked. Businesses are slowly becoming available as I complete missions, however.

I guess I'm terrible at exploring LOL! But yeah, I did some searching and many people are experiencing problems with both the stock market and the impound. Cars that you modify, you take ownership of, but sometimes the impound misses this so you'll lose your car. And that stock glitch seems fairly common. But hey, any new game is gonna have a few bumps, and a game of this scope is bound to have a couple too, and neither are a big deal.

So, umm.. how do you buy shares? I've been to the websites on the Phone, but I can't do anything.

Impound has also been a little patchy for me - as have the garages, Franklins garage doesn't seem to want to actually save any car that's left in there.

^Go on the internet on your phone. On the top there will be a few icons you can select. There will be one that's called money or financial(I believe). Click on that and the first two links after selecting will be the stocks.

👍👍

I'll give it a go later!

Has anyone come across an Import/Export for cars in GTA 5?

They've always been one of my favourite parts of old GTA games and I hope this will be in.
