Sorry for the rage quit guys. After screwing qualifying and starting dead last, getting damage at the start, and ice skating on 100% rain for an hour, I messed up twice in 2 laps effectively ruining my race. At that point I didn't care about the points lost and I had better things to do than slide around in a horrible handling car for another hour so I left. It's a good thing I didn't spend too much time testing setups because it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Thanks for the racing, this was the last racing series I will be participating in on GT5. See everyone this winter on GT6. 👍

My race was pretty simple, even if I couldn't finish.

Free-practise was horrible. I was running a tune that had worked brilliantly at other tracks but had awful understeer here at Spa. Thanks to smuffy for that tune!

Quali went quite well. The car felt great on the warm up lap and then my flying lap was much faster than my other laps and I managed 9th position.

I knew the start was going to be scary. I managed to get a good start and got past SnowCrash and pulled a good gap over Fox. Then gokartman spun and neljack collided with him but I hit the brakes and avoided the spinning Astons. Started 6th from behind smuffy but had a bad start. This meant I lost out to the leading pack. After that Chris flew past me and then after a couple laps I got passed on both sides down the kemmel straight by the recovering kartman and neljack. Then my tyres started to go off and SnowCrash and R1600 also passed me. I then pitted and afterwards my laps were 3 seconds a lap faster. R1600 gave up and left promoting me up to 10th then SnowCrash pitted and I got up 9th. However, before my seconds stop I got damage and lost loads of lap time. Then I pitted, put it in the wall going through Au-Rouge before having to leave. If it hadn't rained I might have been faster but oh well. Well done champs!

Just came to say congrats :) after the multiple GTP wins you deserve it .

Sorry for me popping out of nowhere.

My apologies to Jet for collecting him after I had an off.

It was a total noob move and I feel bloody stupid for doing it.

The Aston was bloody awful to drive in the rain, understeering in to corners and oversteering out. No grip at all from a poor wet set-up.

That was the longest 2 hours in any race I have been in.

Roll on Season 2

RESULTS PLEASE

So yeah, Furry is now a champion... too bad he was only racing against people who hadn't won a title before :sly:

Am is for non-champions.

Am is for non-champions.

Yes...Pingu didn't spot that one LOL.

So if there is another Pro-Am series that one out of my way :sly:

Umm, actually I did spot that, and I even pointed it out rather clearly. :dopey:

Furi, are you going to add a "Gentlemen's Trophy" for slow drivers if you do a second season of this?

It might not be humiliating when you're in 9th, and you get lapped by the 8th place car in a >6hr race, but when it happens in a 2hr race with 20 minutes to go you have to wonder what you're doing. :grumpy:

Remember whoever does the tables I am in Pro not Am :) Even if I scored no points :p

I'll sort that out for you Orama when Furi publishes the results.

@Jet, trust me, whenever I do moderately well it's kinda usual for someone to wade in and claim there was no competition or my win doesn't count for some reason....

Uh, Fox, I got 2pts, not 4. SnowCrash should get 4, not 5, and you should get 1 rather than 2.

Came 4th and 9th in Am an 10th overall. Not to bad :sly:

Changes nothing really so cannot be arsed DK as the season is over.

For me, everything sort of came together on that day, in a bad way. I'm not really the quickest at Spa to begin with (no idea why), and the rain that favoured the better handling cars, added to it.

Wanted to leave some space in qualifying, which meant that it rained already when I did my first qualifying lap, so only qualified 8th. Lost it at Blanchimont in the first lap, and although I was able to catch up due to the caution, it never really got better. The distance to the front wasn't so bad however, so I thought I'd stay out as long as possible to be flexible, should the rain stop. What didn't help, was that the tyres, after 45 minutes or so, from one lap to the next, lost a lot of grip. I therefore lost quite a bit of time in that period, staying out close to an hour.

After about 1:30, deep in my second stint, Jet overtook me, so I knew I wouldn't be able to hang on with tyres getting worse. I also lost belief that it would stop raining or dry up, so I pitted again so as not to crash out in the late stages. When it stopped raining about 7 minutes from the end, I did feel kind of mocked though. :grumpy:

Oh, and congrats to Smuffy! Well deserved championship! 👍

There is unlikely to be a Season 2 of GTE. However the cars and specs are going to be used for something a little larger in scale perhaps...

Thanks for racing with me this season, big thanks to Flying Fox for doing the tables, and congrats to Smuffy on his title.

Furi.

Thats a shame, at least I'm trying to join the TOCA support race :).

Still going to keep these car specs however.

For what? or is it secret information.

Furinkazen
Behind closed doors.

Oooo super secret :p It's all part of furi's master plan for world domination ;)
