Should have a car confirmation for you tomorrow Tyrrell just want to run a few tyre tests with this fast setting. One of the cars im looking at is pretty fast but shredding rubber it seems.:scared:

No problem Cobrius, I had a phase without it some time ago myself. In fact there may even be some advantage with these cars - locking up the rears to help it turn, for instance.

Just be aware that if your colours are blue and yellow, us Brits will be calling you Ikea Racing. ;)

We can't have that... so here's my entry.

Nice colour - suits it. :)

Guys, just a heads up, as this whole concept continues to evolve! GTI Cup is no longer SemiStock Class 4. Instead it's Class 5. I'll explain later...

SORRY, scratch my last, this is still Class 4. I've decided to drop the Supercar class, as that performance bracket is effectively filled by BST. Having a semistock supercar category kind of goes against the whole philosophy too, now that I've thought about it.

What was SS2, however, is now SS1. SS2 is now another class altogether, including the R34, Impreza, Evo, Camaro, NSX and others. SS3 is no longer 'Coupe Cup' as it includes non-coupe cars such as the S2000 (replacing the Integra) and the Elise (instead of the Evora).

Oh, you planning other series with a similar concept...?

@ snow, yes, there are three other potential series ahead of this one, increasing in performance, but following the same basic concept.

Just one thing I noticed.

207bhp is the same as 210cv which is the unit I use so I only have to add ballast to meet the specs.

I've only just remembered - since we'll be checking weight, that means there's the option of using success ballast.

Since the cars' weights vary considerably, success ballast would be worked out as a certain percentage of the car's total weight.

I'll have my car choice for you tonight :) im also Team V8 :)

Also what are the rules with pitstops coz in race 1 these tyres won't last the race so is it open pitstops for both races?

For all races, pitstops are entirely optional. The only rule concerned with them is that you must keep within the entry and exit lines of the pitlane.

Are you sure you can't get a set to last 20 minutes? Even on Fast setting (NOT Very Fast)...?

Hi tyrrell when will you be doing the other class series?

watermelonpunch / wat3rm370n
tentative sign-up, depending on my future schedule (which can change drastically beyond a week from whatever moment).
(anyone clarify whether this is 1:30pm or 2:30pm U.S. Eastern Time? Either way is fine (THUS FAR), just want to be sure.)

I'm leaning toward the Focus or Megane probably.
I won't have a chance to test drive a bit until Monday. So I'll probably make the decision then.

Should be 14:30 EST. (5 hours difference)

And the series ends before DST starts, so no trouble there... :sly:

Sorry to have to say this tyrrell but I need to pull out, I'm just not getting on with the cars, let me know when you do the other car series 👍

And goodluck with it 👍

Hi Melon, I can list you as a reserve for the moment, if you like.

Sorry to hear that Ged. C'est la vie. Better to pass on something you know isn't fun for you - no worries dude.

SS3 (coupes and roadsters) is all tested up and ready to launch. I just need to decide on a day of the week. It will likely start before SS4 finishes, and it will have 6 events rather than 5.

I echo the toad's sentiments unfortunately:guilty: I guess its a power thing once a V8 junky always a V8 junky. Like toad says though as soon as theres something with a little more umph im 100% keen.👍

My first set of tests is done. I'm down to 7 cars from the original 13, where I think I could make them work.

My short-list includes the C4, Focus, Atenza, 207, Megane, Golf and the C30.

That's in order of brand-name, not speed, by the way. :sly:

Okay, we've lost a couple of people, starting to look a bit sparse. If anyone has any pals that might be interested in this, please invite them! It'd be much appreciated! :)

I'll take the Alfa, not done any testing but I like Alfa's so screw it, taking a chance. 👍
