and no MR-S, Imprezas, or Hondas. It's what you want to race. Last year there were all RX7's and CUSCO's. I'm quite OK w/ that.

Well I wasn't racing last year but it's only CAMikaze and I are the lone wolves.
It's fun when you challenge yourself to a new car though. But I see your point.
 
ZeratulSG, I would love to see you compete. I've watched the series for a while and now that I'm competing in it, would to have a chance to battle door to door with you.

GT online racing league experience : Been in the past 3 Board Challenges, my first race on pavement got me a 3rd place at Suzuka this year :) I've administered a rally series and formula series. I am usually poking around in the WRS, I don't always submit as I usually forget or get busy with work now adays. I attended the SFGTP2 this month and had a blast doing some live LAN racing and I race up in Seattle every three months to do more live LAN racing. I guess that is about it 👍
Ambitions/goals : To have fun and to practice tire wear as I found I need to practice it while in SFGTP.

Jerome, you're in. and fyi, it's 5%hp redux. you'll be racing at 458hp for Round 1-3 (give or take adjustments earned in those rounds.)

Z-SG, you're still invited, but whichever car you'd choose, you'll have the same hurdle as Jerome b/c of the late entry.

gotta stick to my rules, even for the vets. sorry guys.

I thoroughly read through the starting thread and understand late entry penalties that will be incurred. I have just recently discovered GTP and started in the WRS about 5-6 weeks ago. I am looking for something to supplement completing the game and competing in the WRS.

Sorry to bump an old thread but can people still join this series? I've just registered here at gtplanet but want to do as much racing as possible. I understand the penalties that come with starting late but no matter to me.

When you have selected the car you are going to use, it comes up with a menu where you can choose the AI difficulty, whether you want aids on, etc. On this menu, you can also choose the tyres you wish to start on. Set it to whatever the AI is required to start on (according to the race regulations) and then on the final menu at the track just before you race, on the quick tuning sub-menu, you can change the tyres for yourself so that they also meet the race rules. Hope that helps! :)

Welcome esh! Been seeing you over in the WRS. I also jumped into the series late and chose the s2000 lm car. I don't know how good of a choice it has been(I thinks it is more my skill over race distance), but the level of competition over the no. of laps is definitely way different and way more consistent. Don't get discouraged by the hp penalty as it only lasts 3 races. It seems as it has taken forever for me since we had the long winter break in there.

I'm going to put you in the Toms Castrol Supra, as the Esso Ultraflo is un-testable to me (I don't have that version.)

Also, as the rule states, you will have a -5% HP restriction...for the duration. It's the rule.

Keep an eye out for the Round 8 race thread, you'll be on it.
