What day of the week for this series to race on

As of right now, I should be there.

Awesome. :)

No problem.

Thanks, means a lot! I try to keep races clean as possible :)

I try to do that too. It's hard to race hard and clean though as we saw last week. Tempers got a little "hot".

you can try, but it never run's to schedule:crazy:, so first or last won't matter, I can always claim super rally ruling, but that's a penalty of 30 seconds added to the slowest time :scared:, I want to beat 1 home

Understood. I've shot Rally a PM. I'm waiting a response.

Looks like I might be able to make today's race, I will keep you guys updated or see you there. 👍

Alright! 👍

That was an amazing race. Had a great time with cnd and bdub, completely re-sparked my interest in GT5. So pumped for Citroëns (link in my sig) now.

And to think I almost went and played MW3 instead.

Great race today.

Results.

1.) cnd01
2.) bdub
3.) lancer
4.) dave
5.) postosis
6.) tbw
7.) eLove (dnf)

I will have points up shortly.

it was all the bump drafting that was going on, I think I pulled a .5 or .6 on my own,

I keep planning to see what the undesirable aspect of the VW is apart from the VW fact, but I'd have to say that the mazda and civic are very equal until you wake up, I was keeping pace according to the time split, so pending a qually lap and a bit better luck in the first lap I could probably keep up,

Last race I had to hook up the steering wheel and PS3 in a different outlet across the room. Right when the race started my family came in and I yelled, 'watchout for the wires on the ground,' to make sure they'd hear it. Sure enough my dad didn't see them I guess and tripped but caught himself and didn't fall. Unplugged the steering wheel and the tug from the PS3s cord threw it across the floor. Then right after the PS3 turns off...

Seems like since I started racing in any series, I have literally the worst luck in the world. Between this and Rolex im pretty deep in a hole now..

After this last patch, I think it's the Golf and Civic that are even now. Myself and bdub were together the entire race (we finished within a few 1/100s of each other) but once we lost cnd's draft, we dropped like a rock. I think the Miata might need some weight added to it, and I'm not sure if pit stops are necessary now.

So that's what happened. That is awful luck. You were fast too.

I know man. You had winning pace the whole race.

I'll run some tests through the week. I know I had an obvious advantage in the Miata over Lancer in the Golf and bdub in the Civic. I don't know if that was tune or car. I'll run some tests this week for next weeks race to see if the Miata is still dominant.

the civic still has some pull in the straight but the miata is just so dominant in the corners i lose alot of time on everyone. i ran hundreds of laps last week on gve and could not seem to get any faster than a 1.12.057. not just hitting that lap once but consistently the same lap time for 10 laps or so untill my tires got worn.

this new 2.08 and 2.09 have really changed the physics of the way the car accelerates, you can't "quick tune" the gearbox any more, well you can with higher HP cars but I found most of the time I gained was getting the car in its power curve for longer, particular to the first and last corners of GVE, a good line helps like post got some good runs and early acceleration on me but once I hit 4th to 5th gear he really needed the draft and when he had it would take the full length of the straight to get enough momentum up to pass me in the braking zone and I ran a shorter 6th gear to make sure that I could get 216KPH with the drafting gear I would have used on my own I would only get 212KPH top speed, and it would need a lot of straight to get there,

I still need pitstops, my tires were dead when I pitted and I think I was the last 1 to pit, but for some stupid reason I lost 4 seconds in there, Its a pain in the anus!

not sure what my km/h is but i was running 134mph in the straight without draft. and that's only because i had 15 downforce in the back trying to get the car to loosen up in the rear around corners more. that also brought me down to 451 as opposed to the allowed 461 so i was nerfed but running a faster lap

i finally got my HDMI cable. it has been long overdue and hopefully i can make my debut at the 4th race

I should be here for this week's race. I have only driven the Civic a couple of laps since the update to test the new physics and it struggled to rotate. In testing out 2.09 it seems that FF's need some really radical tuning to get them to rotate and even then it's still not as good as pre-2.09. I'll take a go at the Civic later in the week and post my tune but by all accounts this latest update has really 🤬:banghead:🤬 the FF's...:yuck:

I'm having to re-tune from scratch since the patch and I've almost got the car nice and loose. But it's still missing something and I'm gonna need some help to figure out what. If anyone is on tonight hit me up on PSN.

I'll be posting tunes for each car later tonight or tomorrow. The Miata is a piece of cake, the Honda is ok, and the VW still struggles to rotate but is in the mix as far as lap times go if you don't overcook it on entry.

i found the trick to get the civic to swing in the corners. probably will work on the vw too. just set the rear tires to sport med or hard depending on how loose you want it. i can run 142.5 with that

I didn't get a chance to test the cars at current spec yesterday. Black Ops II was too damn fun

I know right, ZOMBIES! but anyay back on topic, who will be on GT5 to contest this series this week, or will everyone be violating the un-dead?

I've tried that before with a couple of cars but not with the Civic. Usually it throws the car way off balance and makes it hard to control. Might be worth a shot though you never know.

I'll be posting tunes later that gets all three cars into the 40.0 to 40.8 range.

I will be on GT5 this weekend to run this series like normal. I've got to admit though, this is the best zombie experience of any Call of Duty game so far.

I will allow you guys to experiment with different tires to try and get the FF's to turn. I had been thinking about not allowing any other compounds but Sports Softs, but I think anything that makes the car faster within the rules is fine with me. Go ahead and run the sports mediums or sports hards. 👍

I will try to find some time to test today. I might add a small amount of weight to the MX-5 or maybe take away say 10 horsepower. Not sure yet. I might leave things as is.

Before 2.09 at Tsukuba, with the tune I posted earlier, I could come into any of the corners and kick the back end out at will, and bring it back with a touch of throttle. Post 2.09 I can't get the back end to break free at all, but it does turn well enough, you just can't force it through the corners, although it feels good on exit if you don't overcook it on entry. Settings are completely different as the ride height trick no longer works, in fact, most tuning options have little to no effect on the car. I was able to do consistent laps 1:40.1-.4 with a best of 1:40.0. Note also, I have ballast on the car as my weight penalty from Tsukuba, it's not much, but it will slightly help the car rotate.

A monkey could tune this car, it's pretty much raceable right out of the box. This tune is adjusted for 2.09 and makes the front end a bit more responsive and helps it rotate out of corners a little better as if it needs it...lol. It will get you around the track consistently in 1:40.0-.4 at race pace, a couple tenths faster if you let it hang out.

I like my cars fairly neutral for longer races. If you like your cars looser, just move the ballast back and you can make it as loose as you want, but the tune as is, is exactly how I would race this car. It's awfully difficult to make a mistake with it the way it is so a small lapse in concentration won't cost you the race. I noticed at Tsukuba a couple of the guys had the Miata fairly loose as well, but it ended up costing them in exiting a couple of the hairpins once or twice. Choice is yours.

Pre-2.09 I was able to get the VW exactly on par with the other two cars at Tsukuba and the handling identical to the Honda, although no one drove the car in the race. Now thanks to PD's magical physics update, it's a complete clusterf:censored: Without ballast it's pretty near impossible to turn some FF's into decent cars with the new physics. Best I could do was consistent 1:40.5-1:41.0 with a best of 1:40.3 and it was a near perfect lap. Handling is not on par with the Honda but it will get around the track. In the right hands it's competitive but barely so.

In case you missed it from Tsukuba:
