^Don't worry about it.

Round 1 Specifics

All hard surfaces are track.

Note that for this race, we will be using the Moto Chicane at Tsukuba. Instead of going straight after the Dunlop bridge, continue to the right before making the tight left-hander to rejoin the normal track. If you are unable to make the chicane, come to a complete stop before rejoining the track.

thx for the flowers m8 ;)
I still didnt make even 1 mile with my Jr Kart, not sure i'll b fast from the beginning
still 2 days left for practice

I have heard a great way to break in a kart, start a 200 lap race in your lounge at London, just pause the game before you go to bed, your driver will just keep making laps at a very slow pace, (no pit at london) and in the morning your kart should have made 200 laps at a slow pace. :sly: Just make sure the tire wear is on, otherwise you will have to do it all over again. This should put you pretty close to a fully broken in kart.

Great to see all the new participants. Any updates as to room settings (slipstream, tire wear, damage)?

Weak slipstream, light damage. I might not even bother with tire wear since we'll almost certainly never have to pit.

You have to drive at least 100 laps before it shows some tire wear, and not even then it would feel different

Go to community, then press on the thing that looks like a coffie cop / called lounge, and then join :)

I just saw on the OP that we will race Tsukuba with the chicane after the fast right hander, right?

Lancer,

Is there a private lounge for GTMSA or do I need to send you a FR?

This series isn't using a private lounge, most other GTMSA series do, however. Send an FR to GTP_LancerEvo7 if you haven't already.

You have not yet accepted my FR

How many hours to the room opens ?

I'll add everyone before the race, watching Sebring right now. Room will open in about 2 hours.

I wish I was watching Sebring... No ESPN 3 for me and ALMS.com website is junk. FML

Is room open yet ?

I'm sitting here waiting too. LoL excited for some kart action.

As well Lancer, my son won't be racing today. He had plans come up.

Room will be open momentarily, logging on as we speak.

EDIT: Room is up, qualifying begins in 25 minutes.

Great racing today. Had one lil bump. I was off throttle trying to give space. Either he braked or hit someone. Caused me to bump them. Early in the race. Was able to snag Saga and Willie's draft. This allowed me to battle up front. We chased saga for several laps. I figured a way to pass him in second hairpin. Three laps of this and he got off his groove. Causing him to spin before Moto chicane. Felt bad for him. But curbs and karts don't mix. LoL raced to the end with Willie. Last hairpin he let me by. I assume with his extra speed and draft he would sling shot by. So knowing I needed all advantages. I took the inside on last turn. Hugged that baby. Willie got his sites set on taking it away and forgot about the draft and his speed. Inched him out to grab the win.

Next week my kart will be broken in for sure. Gonna be exciting.

Wow, Congrats Owens, beating willie in a kart is no easy task as he is one of the best. Shame I couldn't make it today, sounded like a great race.

He is fast and clean. Truly didn't expect the inside move to hold out. I got very lucky.

Owens got alongside me coming out of the second hairpin, so I tried to keep a tight line to give Owens room around the outside, but drifted too far inside and caught the curb.

Congrats Owens. You played your cards perfectly. 👍

To be honest, I felt the draft dulled the race for me today. Whether I tried to push or drive leisurely, it made no difference because of the draft. I ended up cruising most of the race. When I made small mistakes (for example: poor corner entry angle or poor exit speed), it didn't hurt me. The draft heals all. It's just too strong.

Good racing today guys, as i saw it, it seems to be very clean, always happy when the little kart can get some miles in :)

Congrats to Owens for the win today, always a plessure to race really fast & clean drivers :)

I did not quiet get the start of the race when we all where lined up after the first corner ?

Next race we should do like a 15 min qual using the "automatic race cycle start" :)

It's even worse in the 100 & 125 cc karts, it's nearly impossible to break the draft if you're in the lead. In these it's at least possible to break or lose the draft.

It just ensures that the grid is correct for the start.
