T1: 0'15.099

T2: 0'33.359

T3: 0'58.882

I had a blast shooting through the chicane and I've played with the throttle in turn 4 & 5 instead of braking. Driving 100% in a JGTC car is nothing compared to Doing it in Group C with no aids. Thats a challenge.

What a tease!:dopey:

For T1 I'm off by a second, T2 another second and T3 I'm behind 4 seconds. Jesus racecar. So in total that's 6 seconds. Please tell me you screw up the 4th sector and get in the 1'20's.:nervous: I was pretty proud of myself for going decently quickly, but I had no idea of your speed. I think I brake too much. I just knew there was so much more time left to be gained. Which compound are you using? If you don't mind me asking. If I drive like that I'll either have to use a harder compound or pit more. How do you gain so much time in the 3rd sector?

I've raced RACECAR before and you will be amazed on how fast he is. He is like a machine! It's fun racing with him because he puts you to your limits.

He's running GT500 Drew. That's the "secret"

On another note, I've given the Wedssport Celica a few rounds on the track and it really fits my style. My only problem is that the RF tire goes away too fast. I've gotta work on it and I'm sure those RX7's are going to have some competition. Best lap so far is sub 1.24, and the rest of the laps are EXTREMELY consistent, even the "bad-tire lap" so i'm very happy.

Haven't taken the au Cerumo out yet, but could be done tomorrow night.

c

LMAO. I didn't even realize that. I assumed he was in GT500. Keep your foot in it anway!👍

Hey all! Can I join or did I miss the deadline?

Jerome

Hey Jerome, nice to hear from you.:sly:👍

You can still join in. But IIRC, I believe you'll have to be subject to some sort of HP penalty.

IIRC? Sorry not familiar with that acronym mate. HP penalty is fine I'd like to take the Nissan Motul Pitworks Z, I just wanna race 👍 I pm'ed Chris so hopefully I can start, but if not no worries no offense taken.

Jerome

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly :)

I think about a -20 HP and +10 weight should put you just about even with us Jerome. Are you still doing the WRS? I haven't been there since week 45 I believe. Hotlaps aren't my forte, but neither are the long races!!
Welcome aboard, glad you're in the 500 class.

I thought it was -5hp deduction?
I did this in Time Trail with RSS and my fastest was a 1'21.3 with the ASL. I need to save tires but yet get good lap times to get a decent finish here. That is going to be hard with this baby.

Yea I'm still doing the WRS here and there, with Guitar Hero and my Wii it makes it a ruff decision. Good to see some familiar faces 'round here. I dunno about your -20HP tho, I don' really race well on tire wear be gentle :nervous: lol. So this is a practice session, do I just max out the car and have at it on RSS's and then we drop HP from there on the results for race 1? Sorry for the n00bness.

You better read the limits a WHOLE LOT BETTER if you want to stay in this series bucko.

If you're using RSS tyres, you will not get any credit. I suggest you re-read the ENTIRE first post and start racing again.

Drew's just afraid you'll come in and whoop him soundly, so he's scaring you off. I've PM'd him the specifics and I hope that you'll join Jerome.

👍 I just need to know what specs I should be racing at now so I am clear :)

Well, really it starts in sector 1 gathering momentum after the right hander I just lift through the left-right part then lift again before the tunnel in sector 2, Then at The twisty left-right hander, I'm full throttle. I'm in the 1'18's and using RS compounds(which might explain the time difference).

Spent about 20 min getting used to the combo and that idiot of a driver in the Oreca....anyway. My opening lap is 1:24.9xx (finally missed traffic) and fastest lap is a 1:16.6xx on RS's. But that was a great lap and doubt I'll be barely breaking 1:17 in the race with the dang tire wear, lol. Hey RACECAR, how about that downhill left after T3, I bottom out everytime, it drives me nuts, heheh.
T1 - :15.009
T2 - :33.453
T3 - :58.895
Lookin' forward to the series. Looks like cause I'm late I'll have a 5 HP penalty for the first 3 races (which would put me at 477HP is that right Chris, its either that or 472HP (just let me know either way), D'OH! O well. I'll be coming back to this to submit my time albeit not so fasty fasty on these tires, when you pit, do you have the option to not ask for fuel?

Give me turn numbers man! That was confusing! Use the map below as a reference please? :) Would the "left-right part" be the left hand kink and turn 6? Would the "twisty left-right hander" be the 9-10 complex? I'm also using RS. I think the the time difference lies in the skill and bravery difference. I think to take the the kink and turn 6 I'd have to change my line. Normally, I just go straight on to the apex of 6 and brake. I'm thinking that's not the quickest way to take that corner. The 9-10 complex, I can take flat-out. Take it through all the way to the apex of 10, where I brake. I'm still working on my bravery for 1-2. Which is also where I think I'm losing time. I either brake too much and go too slowly through it or I take it too fast and get into the grass. The undulations in that left-right are killer.

thanks to AMG.

You're mighty quick too my friend. I have my work cut out for me.

Sorry I confused you. Anyhow The momentum starts from turn 5, then I lift at the kink through 6 then lift again at 7. I'm full throttle at 9-10 complex and brake to 3rd at 10. Then through 12 and 13, I'm full throttle. Hopefully thats more understandable.

Hey RACECAR, how about that downhill left after T3, I bottom out everytime, it drives me nuts, heheh.
I do too. Its the most irritating part, especially when passing another car and trying to avoid contact leading to a drive-thru penalty.

/\ *nods in disbelief* haha.

That's a lot more understandable thanks. I'm the exact same way through 9-10 and 12-13. I shall try lifting through 6 and 7. See where that gets me.👍

This wasn't for the compotision. This was just to see what the car was capable of running with the ristrictions.(well most of them)

Well, I got a few more laps in. Not an entire race, but just to see what I could take out of the lap. Keeping RACECAR's advice in mind, I knocked out a 1'18.8. This was only on the second lap where the tires weren't fully warm. I'm sure 1'17's is where GT500 will be very soon.

Tried a session but messed up on lap 12...ran another and messed up the exact same way on lap 12, wtf!?!?! I'll come back to it later. I was able to get my opening lap down to a 1:24.6 by dodging more traffic :sly:

Jeez how do you go so quickly on the first lap?! The best I can muster is a 1'26, even if I get by traffic before turn 3.

Dodging traffic increased my lap by .3. What I would suggest is practicing the start, for the Nissan starting in 2nd with about 7/8 throttle is the max without getting tire spin, then you can launch with the other six cars and catch them all at turn 3 and pass the Oreca on the sharp right after T1, if you couldn't do that before, simply doing that will demolish your prev first lap, or it should in theory.

Jerome

That's sure,Chris!👍
This was a good car choice for us.
I had some fast laps on Mediums and this car hasn't got a bad tyre wear at all.But if Neil still haven't got to pit...we're lost.:)

Heh-heh,times submitted.
We will see what can I do against Neil's hat-trick.:)

Submitting sometime this weekend, traffic helped trim time my second time around, finally only had to pass 2 cars on lap 12 besides the beginning. Got my fastest lap down to a 1:16.5 but usually running low to flat 1:17's except for laps 5,10 and 15 of course, my front tires are red especially front right. those laps I was only getting 1:18's. Damn this handicap coming up :ouch: I'm our of contention for a while. Laters all!
