Is it terrible I read that in his voice?

This one's a no-brainer. The original Cinquecento is the only Fiat in Michael Schumacher's garage that he wasn't contractually obligated to drive, but he drove it anyway.

Seriously? Seriously?

My lawnmower has more power than the two slowest versions. It's about as cool as a connoisseur walking into a greasy spoon and asking for something incomprehensible in French because "coffee, strong, black" is too simple for him.

Low cool, fun little thing it is. Would be cooler if it were Abarth, unless that counts as something entirely different?

A shame many people here in the states associate the name with the new somewhat recently imported 500.

@White & Nerdy Hasn't it already been said (for other cars at least) that a slow car doesn't have to be uncool?

Just in every Cool Wall thread where the car in question has less power/cylinders than his own.

Heaven forbid that any car with less than 6 cylinders or 100bhp ends up being anything other than uncool. Especially when "cool" directly equates to "how fast you can go in a straight line" or "the engine not sounding like one of those cruddy I4s", while every other factor is completely meaningless.

So in your logic, slow = Seriously Uncool?

In that case, put it straight into the Dungeon.

I love how your understanding of cool cars is measurable with a ruler. And you don't have to use it from end to end. You have to be the closest-minded guy I've ever read in the internet.

Once again, I love how angry it makes you when people vote on cars like this.

Just have a think about this for a second. Who is cooler:

a) The Fiat 500 driver rocking up outside a cafe in one of the world's most stylish cities; or,
b) The uptight, angry, Footloose-loving, tries-too-hard kid from small-town Alaska with a bug up his ass about people hundreds of miles away who like a cartoon and a two-dimensional view of the world

Then ask yourself whether the latter character* could be considered someone with a valid opinion on what is and what isn't cool.

I can probably predict your response too. It'll be something about not caring about what other people think of you, somehow giving you a free pass to coolness. But then revving your engine at Prius drivers who probably haven't even noticed you at the lights isn't the way people act when they don't care what others think, so we know that isn't the case. I recall you mentioning something about wishing to be superior to someone at your workplace too, so that doesn't fit either.

In which case, the smartly-dressed guy or gal in the Italian city car in one of the world's style centres is probably still cooler. And the best thing is, they almost certainly don't care about the uptight Alaska kid with a bug up his ass about people who like a cartoon.

And instantly you show no understanding of the origins of this car at all.

As with the original Mini this is a car that surpassed money and status, as such its both the connoisseur ordering his pre anti-pasti Grappa, and the everyman ordering his black coffee in a roadside cafe.

Sub-zero

I'm just going to let this go on for a bit.

It'll be like letting all the troops mass in one spot before you go on your bombing run.

I believe 'lawnmower' is commonly used as a euphemism for 'Sunbird'.

And the 500 is a huge step up from that in terms of fun and refinement.
It can probably take corners a lot faster, too.

Is anyone interested in a coup against W&N?
