This is the only car that I've ever given a Subzero in the Cool Wall by just looking at the picture. I knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it, before I entered the thread I didn't even know it existed. It's that awesome.
Like @Imari said, to heck with even driving it, it has so much charisma on it's own, just sitting there, it overpowers everything.
OH, also, all the people that are using the "it did it's job in rural Japan well" are wrong. It doesn't matter what it did back in the day, it matters what it does now. And now it's a rare old car that is adorable and chraming. old car = cool. Old awesome car = subzero.
