As a Mopar fan I actually voted Sub-Zero. I always liked Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth cars from the 1980's, and the New Yorker is one of my favorites.

But why is it cool? All you said was you liked it because you are a Mopar fan. That doesn't make it cool.
I think it is cool because I like the shape of the body and its huge size. I also think that the interior is pretty awesome. What car can you find a blue interior that is this bright?

Lets rephrase that. I think it is cool because I like the shape of the body. I may think its cool, but you may not.

This isn't a like wall.

If his definition of cool is whether he likes it or not, then that's how he defines cool.
You're all just getting on his case because he doesn't use the same ranking methods as you.

The same thing could be used to call any car uncool."Why do you like the 1968 Camaro?"
"Because it's an awesome and historic car."
"This isn't a history wall."

Custom878 has a bone to pick with me simply because he doesn't like my photos/screenshots, Bopop. Nobody else would've said that.

I don't particularly think so. In fact I had a meme that I've used before that I was going to use here for your post but since it's already happened I'm not going to bother.

Edited to remove debate and tidy thread.

He could've just said "it's cool because of x"instead of "I like this because of x." It just sounds biased the way you worded it.

Some people try to like cool things, but then start to think everything they like is cool. That's where problems occur.

Coolness isn't personal; coolness refers to society's opinion on something. Likeness is an individual's opinion, and IS personal. Therefore, liking something and finding it cool should be completely separate things. If I like something, then I like it. If I find that thing cool, then I think society likes it. Coolness has to do with popularity, while liking something doesn't make it popular.
I disagree. I couldn't give a rats ass what society thinks is cool or not. What I think is cool is what makes something cool IMO.

If they think everything they like is cool, then they should vote cool, because they think it's cool.

Where is the problem? Aside from getting people criticizing your reasoning.

Whether you find something cool or not is. That's what we're doing here. Stating whether we find it cool or not. The reasons can be personal.

Society as a hole will never agree with itself. That's why some people believe God is real, others don't. That's why some people think a car is cool, others don't. They don't agree. That doesn't mean the car is cool or uncool, it means one person thinks it is, and one person doesn't.

Should. Who says it should? Your view on whether or not something is cool or not is an opinion, and shouldn't follow any rules but the ones you use to come to a conclusion on a cars coolness.

See? That's how you determine if something is cool or not. Other people have a different opinion on how you should determine if something is cool or not.

Not necessarily. Certain oddball cars here that would be known only to car enthusiasts or brand fanatics have gotten cool here.

This part I can agree with.

In the end, this is a place full of opinions. Not only on whether a car is cool or not, but how to decide if it's cool or not. And while I'll agree, "I like it" is not a very good way to explain to others why it's cool, you also shouldn't have to explain yourself to anyone who asks you to. If he finds it cool because he likes it, then he finds it cool. Simple as that.

However, I'm sure @GranTurismo916 would appreciate it if we didn't clutter his thread up with a debate. Feel free to send me a PM if you'd like to continue.
I cannot like this post enough.

Edited to remove debate message and tidy up the thread.

If you actually believed that you wouldn't have made that post. Sorry, but I'm not letting the debate end after you publicly tore up my post.
I do believe that, I simply felt the need to reply, and offered you the chance to do the same, without messing up a perfectly good thread. And, in my believing that, I will be sending you a private message later, when I have a little more free time (Have a few things to do right now, need to charge my tablet as well). I look forward to what will (hopefully) be a nice debate.

As an act of agreeing that these cool wall threads see too many debates, I shall edit my post to remove my response, and suggest you do the same to clean up the thread.

Very well. Since I won't have anything to quote then, I assume we'll just have to agree to disagree at the moment.

I'd say it goes both ways.
I don't think so. The word "downsizing" is pretty straightforward, so unless it's another "did you hear how big American engines were? Wacky!" attempt at humor there really isn't anything to be confused about.
