Despite the obvious Gran Turismo influence on votes (Massive Surprise I know, sometimes I forget this is GTPlanet), it's not really that special of a machine, it's just purposeful and unassumming.

I'll go with a Meh.

Murder Midget.

How could I forget about this?
Sub Zero. Quirky little cars that are surprisingly practical and fun are awesome.

I love this.. whatever it is

I even made a drift Midget on GT6

I'm voting Cool on this one :)

The only Midget II I've seen in real life was being driven by a fat lady who looked like she barely got in the door... That pretty much sums it up. As much as I like the Midget for it's silly presence in Gran Turismo, it's just not cool.

It knows what it is, and it doesn't care what you think.

A vehicle with one very, very specific purpose that is rubbish at pretty much everything else? If you need to carry a small load not very far through some tight spaces that don't involve any hills, it's great. And it's kind of cute looking.

Seriously Uncool.

Do not pass go, do not collect £200 and do not become cool in a full-circle uncool way.

Like you might want to in Tokyo then :)

As awesome as they are, you'll look like a maintenance worker. Seriously Uncool.

This absolutely sums it up. The massive Gran Turismo references make it seriously uncool. Sad, as they are absolutely awesome. I'd take one to a dragstrip.

That's my point. That's it's one purpose in life. Is a lawnmower cool because it's really good when you're trying to shorten your long grass, but rubbish the rest of the time?

A Midget is an astoundingly specific tool. It's very good at it's one thing, but it's one thing isn't really that much use to the vast majority of the world.

A Ferrari could be considered a specific tool in it's own sort of way, it's one thing is to go like hell. But everyone can enjoy that, unless they live in a police state. If you own a Midget and you don't live in a cramped and crowded city where bigger trucks drawn massive taxes and get stuck in small lanes, you're just going to be annoyed that you didn't get a bigger truck. Or a hatchback. Or any other vehicle which would do the job as well or better and not be a one trick pony.

Hell, you could probably transport more stuff quicker with my MX5 than with a Midget, if you're in a normal size city. And then you'd get the benefit of having a sports car, and a convertible in the summer.

That's a blast from the past, @SlipZtrEm. Still not cool . Although that Cool Tool set would look perfect in the back of the Midget.

I'm willing to guess that a good chunk of people here only know about the Midget from Gran Turismo, that alone makes it seriously uncool.
No! I found it from GT Advance 3 first.
Which is still a game, sadly, isn't that terrible...

I heard about it on this weird internet forum where people were discussing if it was cool or not.

I learned about the Midget from some obscure book about kei cars and their influence on Japan (sadly, I do not remember the title/name.)

Only cars besides the Cappuccino/AZ-1 Autozam/Beat that actually stood out for me from that book, until I realized the actual dimensions of kei cars (and, at the age of 7, this was a shocking revelation that these all were very, very, very small cars.)

The only thing that makes me doubt the practicaility of the one in the OP is that as well as the spare on the front, there is also one on the back and therefore absolutely no room for any sort of load. Whups.

Perfect vehicle for the unhappily married man who's nagging wife let herself go....sub zero.

To be fair, I've seen this in several video games. Not just Turismo.

And as it's quite rare outside Japan, I can guarantee you it will turn heads wherever it goes.

Sub-zero. It's a mid-engined, mid-seat, rear-wheel drive vehicle that costs a lot less than a McLaren F1. And don't underestimate how much of a gas these Kei trucks are.

The Suzuki Carry is all right, but it's not center-hand drive.
