I seriously don't remember a Chaser being in that film... I'm drawing a total blank.

Sub Zero for me, put FMIC, low mount single turbo, ECU, proper coilover, LSD, etc 350+HP, would be my ideal daily driver :D

Something like this :

That car is so hideously uncool. Everybody would think you're a complete arse when they see that car.

Here's what you need to know about speed and coolness.

Numbers are not cool. Bragging about numbers is very uncool.

The most important thing relating speed and coolness is being able to make the ride enjoyable and fun for the passenger. This does not mean having stiff suspension that compresses their spine. This does not mean blowing up their ear drums and giving them whiplash by stamping the gas pedal. A bit of yaw can be fun, a bit of G can be fun. Overdoing it is for man-children.

Oh look somebody took one of those generic cars from Grand Theft Auto and made a real version. Neat.

Been a long time since I saw the movie. I don't think it was one of the "star cars", but it was in the movie:

Here's a slightly better pic:

 shall we just ignore the line of text saying "GT Wing" that lead straight to a GT Wing..? who ever was put in charge of designing that cars "livery" needs to be fired..

Plus it was probably a beat to hell movie car.

Granted, it pales in comparison to something like an M5, but for the price and market, it's pretty sweet. If I recall, the turbocharged Galant VR4 at the time didn't go any faster. Don't know about the ER34 with the 2.5, but it's probably a lot slower.

Indeed, those things are beat to hell and back. I think one of the magazines did a test of cars from FnF (One), and found them to all be significantly slower than stock.

Most I can find is that stock cars do 100 km/h in 5.8 to 6.1 seconds (owner reported), which, again, roughly translates to mid-5s or low 5s to 60 mph. But owner reported quarter mile times are in the same ballpark as the figure you gave, which means that the car probably ran out of puff or aero at high speeds.

Okay but what does that have to do with it being cool?

Cool for me, not for you obviosuly, it's subjective taste, everyone has one. Sadly you judge someone as a complete arse for being different.

Foe me the Chaser is cool, a 4 door sedan with sizable engine + turbo, cheaper now, and easy to tune up to my taste, I like firm suspension, if I owned one, I would built it to my preference, it will have full leather interior, front bucket seats, no audio, no AC, 2 way LSD, 350-450HP engine + turbo, RAYS Gram lights wheel, stiffer coilover, replace all the bushes, refresh the suspension and drivetrain, install programmable ECU, run 2 boost map, one for city driving, one for when the need for speed calls ( full boost scramble ) I am old, but I am a street racer at heart. I hate car audio, I prefer turbo and engine noise.

I accept I was harsh on that but whether a car is good to drive or not doesn't it decide whether it is cool.

I guess coolness is a matter of taste and judgment, when I see cheap kei cars, I still consider it cool, it's different than the rest, quirky styling, funny to look at etc. Some cool car can be uncool just by painting in certain color :D

Price doesn't affect a coolness either, a kei car or cheap hatchback has just as much chance of being cool as any car.

Another case of a Japanese car that's extremely difficult to find unmolested these days. In stock form it's an understated speedy all-rounder.

Cool.
Really are the common in CA? (modified or not) I had no idea they were even in this country.

Car is too marijuana?

Unless you're being sarcastic, I really can't tell. I think the car looks awesome or cool.

The fact that the term "Dope" was used to describe this car makes me doubt whether or not I should have given this a cool.

The fact I say a word about a car and it gives you second thoughts about it being cool just because I said that word makes me wonder about the cool wall period.....

Maybe I should of said, Nifty.

I assume you like Porsche. If you and me were to be at a Porsche dealership and you overheard me saying the word "dope" about a 911 at a dealership. A 911 you thought was cool. Would this stir you away from the car?

I just don't like the word, but I did over-react. Questioning whether or not I think a car is cool or not due to one word being used to describe it is very silly, and, in hindsight, I don't know what got into me, I apologize.

No, point taken.
